Very bad. Absolutely waste of money. Wifi connection error all the time, wears battery quick. I replace battery, within few hours it starts giving me battery law warning. It does random sounds. Wifi issues all the time. Service is terrible with the company, and then instead of trying to help. They blame your internet provider, battery type, untill your warranty finishes, then they say too late you are not covered. Absolutely not recommend it

The SHP-A30 lock is a lovely looking lock with great features and is brilliant for both fingerprint and pin opening. It's got terrible wifi issues, however. digital lock the problems started. Batteries were draining frequently and required changing every 4 weeks. Now that's 8 AA batteries which was getting rather expensive. Second issue is that once the batteries go flat the door unlocks from the outside! Now I will say that digital door locks did replace the first unit and it has been working well since (Batteries now lasting 3 to 4 months). So a couple of years in and the quality is starting to show. The touchpad had developed cracking and looks like absolute rubbish. I expected much better quality from samsung. After sales service is laughable. I've left 3 messages over the last couple of years regarding this issue with no response until finally an email reply. The solution was to purchase a new unit or screen (No further replies). I'm not too thrilled about replacing the screen every couple of years so I guess I'm replacing my entire door. locksmith, there was no follow-up whatsoever. We called them 13 times over three days and we were promised that they are sending someone but neither anyone came nor they called us back.
The lack of communication and the unfulfilled commitment to resolve the issue left me extremely dissatisfied. It's disappointing to invest in a product and service that fails to deliver on its promises. I strongly caution others against purchasing or installing Samsung digital locks through this company. I feel sorry that Samsung could not find a better provider to serve their clients.
In my opinion, the service I received was so poor that I suggest a name change to "Samsung Dissatisfaction Centre." instead of "Samsung Satisfaction Centre" Potential customers deserve to be aware of the potential pitfalls they may encounter.

instructions to get used to all the features and these are aided by very good voice prompts through the lock. But once set to your requirements, you don't need to touch the settings again apart from adding and deleting users. I've needed assistance on a few occasions (mostly to do with the app disconnecting which is probably something to do with my network rather than the lock). Email (rather than call) service and they will reply and provide you with help. I was really impressed with Alyza who went above and beyond to resolve my issues. I liked the first one so much that I've bought another, and I can't provide a better recommendation than that. You won't be disappointed if you buy the DR-708.

I thought the lock had a wireless function, based on the videos and advertising of the lock, however this function seems to be not applicable to AU and NZ. This is why I have given 4 stars instead of 5. The finger print function was easy to set up, however it is a bit hit and miss when reading your print afterwards. I believe this problem is due to the dynamics of dry or cracked skin rather than issues with the mechanics of the lock. Fitting the lock was straight forward for me as I am a carpenter, so have the skills necessary. I would suggest the not so serious DIYer to get a locksmith or carpenter to install the lock. I found the after sales service from DDL to be of a high standard, so easy to recommend them. Overall my wife and I are very pleased with the looks and features of the SHS-P718

Excellent products with good support but perseverance is required – Bought a DR708 door-lock and had it installed by DDL. The finger-print sensor was faulty and needed to be replaced and after contacting them a number of times was eventually replaced successfully and now very happy. The support team are very helpful and accommodating but the process can be slow.

for $950 each, it is an expensive door lock for 2 years use. Be aware that when they fail, the only way that you can enter you house is with an emergency key which defeats the purpose of an electronic door lock if you have to carry an emergency key. Also be aware that once the door is cut for these locks, you can't use an alternative.

Samsung SHP-DS705 – This is an awesome product for the price. The door lock has keyless access and controls. The door lock comes with a couple of keytags as well and others can be ordered easily. Master password provides single control. The door lock is really easy to install and use.
Samsung DH537 digital door lock system – Great door lock system, works well, very efficient, so much better than fumbling around with keys. Staff are so friendly and helpful, will answer any questions and assist with setup. recommend this product
