While Dillenger has decided to discontinue the Cheetah, we are definitely still supporting the ones the are in circulation and are honoring all warranty work as usual.

Broken accelerator – Bought Dilllenger's Cheetah Explorer from Goat electric bikes UK, online, for very good price. I was only enjoying the ride for about 2 weeks, After that accelerator got broken and bike simply stopped working. Since then (March 2016), I am not able to get a justice from Goat el. bikes, as they totally ignore my emails, neither help from Dillenger.… Read more

I don't even mind to pay for reparation, even though the bike is still in warranty, but I can't even find a repairman!! In other electric bikes shops weren't able to sort the problem, and recommended me car electrician, which I haven't tried yet. Yes, terrible customer service, no justice.

I am using my bf's mountain bike now and lost 3 kilos! Very happy about that though!

A Shocker – Purchased a Cheetah in June. The battery supplied lasted no more than 5 kms, Dillenger have refused to replace it. Contacted Fair Trading who also have had no luck. I have spent another $250 on the bike and it's still a useless pile of junk. Reading the other reviews I see I am not alone with atrocious service from Dillenger.

Very happy with this bike! – Last year I purchased the Cheetah folding e-bike & I'm very happy with it. This bike is a smooth ride with ample power when necessary. It's a lot of fun getting places with so little effort. Because it folds it's easy to store at my unit, car boot & work. The guys at Dillenger were very helpful & let me test drive a few options.

I'm converted! good all rounder – I've been using this bike for well over a year. When Alessandro Volta built the voltaic pile in 1800 I bet he did not think of us buzzing around on these electric critters! I am about 80kg and there is no problem on your typical gold coast hill, but don't expect to trying moving your pet elephant up Mt Tamborine on this bike (maybe a truck… Read more

would be more suitable for those expecting a 200kg capacity?)

Range, ride, etc is as expected from this priced bike. Style is A++++ and I can't think of a better looking thing since I was in California in 1952 for the inaugural Miss Universe pageant.

Great Product At The Right Price – I was very impressed with the service and quality when I purchased the Cheetah bike. The guys were very helpful with selecting the right bike for me and I have no regrets on the purchase. So far I have had no problems with the bike and I use it quite often. Would like to say thanks to the team for all of their help.

Great little ride – Heard mixed reviews about Dillenger's e-bikes, but this little bike has put in work! Have had the Cheetah for over 6 months now and it runs great, however I do wish I got one of the Lithium-Ion models bikes... Would recommend this bike but I don't think it's being produced any more, think there is a new line of models out which look pretty cool.

electric bike for under $500? Yes Please!! – Fantastic Bike! Picked it up off the Dillenger team in their Southport shop earlier this year and have been impressed ever since! lets me cruise around with not a worry in the world, and gives my legs a well needed break when they need it! charging time. Handy having a folding bike that can tuck away under my house when not in use. Defiantly worth the purchase!

good buy – I've had my cheetah for a few months now and it still goes great. I received helpful advice from the guys at Dillenger Electric Bikes. As someone who had only recently learnt about electric bikes, I was not initially sure if I would use it or if it would be worth it, however, I actually use my bike all the time as it saves me a bit of money on fuel.

Amazing bike for the price! – This bike has definitely exceeded my expectations especially in terms of cost. I mainly use this little rocket to get to work and the local area. If you have been thinking of doing your part for the environment but don't want to dish out too much then the Cheetah E-bike is for you!

Great commuter – I bought the Cheetah to commute between home and work just under a year ago now. Saves about 15-20mins on the commute plus I don't have to pay for fuel! Cant really beat it for the price especially for a electric bike. The folding works great as well, I can easily store it at work and at home. Would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable to and from work bike.

Perfect – Purchased a black Cheetah recently and I love it. I've had a lot of fun getting around on it, its so easy to use. Makes taking the dogs for long walks so much easier, especially if i've been at work all day and don't have the energy. Warning *Don't fall for prey to Dillenger ebikes tricks. They will rob blind!* – Hi, If you think the term 'Warranty or Customer Service' exists in this so called well established company and careful delivery then think again. I bought a Dillenger Folding Explorer Ebike via their website Dillenger UK in February 2015. Four months later the electrics stopped working and the battery can not be unlocked from the frame. All… Read more

right so you may be thinking 'I'm recovered by warranty because it should be covered up to 12 months for electrics, frame and wiring etc so they should be able to repair this'. Wrong!!!

First contact with customer service with their fake name '[name removed]' instructed me to send photos and videos because they never heard of this before. After a week no reply.

Sent them another email and they replied instantly but with the same request for more photos and videos. Their message was ' we will get back to you with a solution ASAP'. Two weeks later still no reply.

Chased up with them again with an email venting on how poor they pay attention to customers and if they actually came up with a solution. This time they asked me to show proof of purchase, pack the bike which had bubble wrap, double walled cardboard etc. as they will arrange for a courier to pick up my bike.

Month into emails my bike finally gets picked up and even helped the courier place into his van. Instructed courier to be careful and showed him which side he package must stand.

On the Dillenger website it says they offer careful delivery. Wrong again!

After another frustrating 2 weeks wait I had to chase up with customer service again! Is this what every customer has to go through in order to get their bike fixed? I could have just bought an Ebike from a store and the repairs would be resolved within 2 weeks max.

Eventually they replied 'Yes we received your bike but unfortunately got some bad news it's fallen to pieces as it's poorly packed. We will get back to you very soon with a solution after an investigation'.

Weeks later sent them an email for an update on repairs progress. Got a reply 'sorry we cannot repair as its fallen to pieces, right off and it's not covered by warranty'.

From waiting nearly 2 months this was the final outcome. You spend £430 and it works for 4 months. Get extremely poor customer service and non existent warranty!

Please does anyone know if Trading Standards can offer any protection advice on rogue traders. We cannot let this company rob their victims blind and let them get away with this.

5 months in and its already rooted – The bike (cheetah) is 5 months old, battery wont charge, back tire deflated, tells me i'm on full battery until I accelerate then it tells me im on empty, seat falls forward, squeeks and creaks all the time... upon calling them they told me that warranty doesn't cover the battery failure (yes, practically the only thing that can really go wrong with an electric bike and warranty doesn't cover it).....DO NOT BUY!!!

Scam! Don't bother. Not Worth the Money – The bike is made of cheap Chines part and is an absolute disgrace to Australian consumer standards. Their after sales service is non existent not to mention down right rude. I'm sure the 'Australian Competition and Consumer Commission' will catch up with these manufacturers. Don't waist your money.

Tread with extreme care if you intend to order one of these bikes – Excited at finding an "affordable" electric bike......wish I hadn't now. I would have been better saving some money and buying from a UK dealer. The problem is that should you have a problem (most customers seem to have from these cheap monsters), you cannot talk to anyone, emails remain answered and when pressured, the problem is yours. Rubbish....don't be tempted!

bike arrived faulty and was told to fix it myself! – I brought the cheetah electric bike from Dillenger and after several rides on it I emailed them to complain that the electric motor chain kept falling off, after pictures sent to them at their request they told me there was a fault likely caused in shipping and told me to fix it myself! was unacceptable and that I would be entitled to a full refund as the bike was not fit for purpose, I requested this and was once again told to fix it myself. After many emails they asked me to take it to a bike shop which I did ( two in fact) which both told me it was faulty and the motor plate had been fused in the wrong position and it was a factory fault and unsafe to use. I sent these to Dillenger who told me " on second thoughts it is not a bike shop issue" and have still refused to refund and accept the bike back. DO NOT BUY if you feel you may need to return if not satisfied or if you bike is faulty!

Cheap and ??? – I had high hopes for this little Cheetah bike. I believed Dillinger's design hype (they are Aussie after all) and I bought 2 of the bikes from the Kickstarter crowd funding website. Both bikes arrived with minor aesthetic damage and with greater assembly requirements than indicated. One of the chargers was broken also but Dillinger replaced that… Read more

promptly with no fuss. I have only had a couple of short rides so cannot comment on battery life but major concerns include limited safe seat height adjustment due a very short seat post and difficulty in safe handlebar height adjustment for anybody half tall (ie 6ft or more) for similar reasons and the limited length of the various cables.

The major design problem that I see though is the very small ground clearance to the drive sprocket and motor. I have measured this at 50mm to a level surface with the bike unladen and tyres pumped to recommended pressure. This clearance reduces to only 35mm with a rider (me) sitting quietly in place. Combine this with the centre articulated suspension and it means that the simplest of level variations such as driveway to road gutter or low mountable kerbing become hazardous and cannot be ridden over without real risk of motor damage or destruction. I know this because of, fortunately just a scratch, when I departed the neighbours driveway which I would not have thought I needed to have given any thought to - and I am no cowboy.

It should also be noted that the picture of the Cheetah on the Dillinger website is MISLEADING in that it shows the MOTOR MOUNTED IN A DIFFERENT ORIENTATION TO THAT ACTUALLY SUPPLIED on the bike. The effect of the website picture, by whatever process, is to create a false sense of the actual ground clearance. The actual (50mm) is similar depth as the tyre and rim whereas the picture appears to demonstrate a lot more clearance than that.

Unless you are are short, lightweight, handle disappointment well and can afford to risk wasting money you should not buy this bike. I have taken screen images of the Cheetah image on the Dillinger website and intend to determine if it's level of inaccuracy is grounds for returning the bikes and obtaining a refund. The bike is (relatively) as cheap as chips but Dillinger claimed a revolutionary manufacturing method as the reason. If you buy this bike you may find other reasons for the cheap price. I am also dismayed that Dillinger ring their bells as local (Brisbane) AUSTRALIAN bike designers and entrepreneurs and are apparently selling worldwide. I would feel a lot happier if they had claimed citizenship of some other country or if I had seen evidence of genuine, end user friendly, actual design and quality assurance. Price is only one small part of the customer equation.

Have to say - Disappointed with bike and aftersales service – I purchased a Cheetah bike to get around my small coastal home town. warehouse and the chain stretched - bike used less then 5 months but I was denied any replacement despite the bike being under 12mth warranty. Currently the bike is not holding battery charge and I barely get 5klms out of each ride. Its heavy to ride unassisted and damn heavy to push uphill. Rear brake pads are completely gone so little stopping power as well. I strongly advise against this bike. There are some excellent electric fold up bikes selling here on the coast with the opportunity to test drive and great follow up service.

What a piece of s--t – I'd love to say it's a good bike but I won't lie Because it is rubbish Battery says fully charged Best I have got is 11km but averages 5km on FULL CHARGE! attitude and the bloody horn wouldn't stop and their advice? Just cut the wires.

I'm sure there are good e-bikes available but this isn't one of them.

When it works you have no control of the throttle once pedal assist cuts in its either stop pedelling and slow down to a stop or full steam ahead.

Don't Bother go local – I also had terrible after service. I am in Melbourne and had trouble immediately with the chain it broke, and after several condescending emails back and forth they sent out another chain. Love the Cheetah – I have one of the first Cheetahs that I bought off Dillenger ages ago. I used it to get around Uni and inner Melbourne, and now I use it to get to work most days. I had to replace the battery a while back, but i had charged it over 1000 times. Tom was a pleasure to deal with when buying another battery.

Beats paying for Fuel – Bought this bike half way through last year and reckon it is an absolute champion. Makes it easy to get to work, tackle the hills. The design is awesome. I actually walk into to my office a fold it next to my desk. If I forget to whack it on charge, there's still plenty of power to get me home at the end of the day. Seriously would recommend to anyone.

Convenient, low cost option for zipping around town – Purchased this bike four months ago to get back and forth from work and the shops. I get around 40km range from a charge. The bike is on the heavy side, but thats the trade off for low cost. I'm happy they made it affordable by using a heavier battery, rather than compromising on build quality. Highly recommended for anyone who just wants a convenient, cheap way to get around town.

After sales service non-existent - buyer beware – It's all very well buying the bike, but when something goes wrong you will be dealing with a couple of lads who are clandestinely working out of a non-listed tiny warehouse in Southport (tax avoidance?), packed to the gills with Chinese imports, and with no particular facilities to help deal with your coming bike troubles. shipping out the bikes to deal with customer service. Don't be taken in by the snazzy homepage. At ground level you are dealing with amateurs who are simply more interested in pumping out the bikes. That's where the money is. Now, this is a problem for us locals, but how the rest of you away from the Gold Coast will deal with this, good luck. After sales service is a major issue and it looks like they are not really interested in sorting it out. This is a backyard job. Be warned. It's your thousands, after all.

Cheap price, cheap quality – While Dillenger claim to be offering this bike at a heavily discounted price, the reality is that you are getting a very poor quality bike.
