After it arrived, it took me a while to realise why it stood wobbling on any flat surface: The electric cord holder had been installed upside down and was sticking out underneath. How did THAT pass quality control? Surprise 2#: Doesn't oscilate, just revolves 360deg - useless for a small apartment. 3#: Only Low or Very High setting, nothing in… Read more

between. Surprise 3#: Can't clean blades!!!!! What THE ACTUAL HELL? Love how the manual says: "Grill and Blades become dusty over time and causes problems...' NO. TRASH! But can't remove cover. It even says that. Well, thanks. 94 bucks - rip-off! Update: The (only) knob also comes off while trying to turn it.

Lasted barely 3 years and can't remove cover to clean! – Purchased 3 of these fans as initially thought they were great. Compact yet powerful. However 1 has stopped working already , for $100+ per fan you expect longer than that. The cover CANNOT be removed to clean the blades. Ridiculous design. Do not recommend. Show details

Air/heat circulator – The fan is good & useful for multiple purposes. Powerful output & provides direct airflow, circulate air or heat & just circulate & distribute room air. Love the 360 degree rotation. The fan is very stable. Show details ·  1

Great compact aircon, perfect for hot days – We bought this air circulator after having sleepless nights with the heat, and we wanted to be able to keep the air moving through to cool us. We were trying to solve the problem quickly, as we one day would plan to put in a fan - however right now we don’t have the time. This little gem was on special at the good guys, and we thought we would… Read more ·  1

give it a go! Pros: It really does cover a good area - circulates through our whole master suite, wardrobes and ensuite no problems The option to rotate not only it’s direction for constant direct airflow or circulating, but the multi angle fixture can be angled from flat facing to direct upwards, and 3 placed between. It’s relatively quiet - okay, you can definitely hear it, but it doesn’t buzz or make any disturbing sounds It was cheap - $80 and my summer issues were taken care of It’s potable - can move between rooms no problem

Cons: Unsure how it will be able to be cleaned - I am currently using a dust brush or my Dyson attachment however I expect bigger build up in the future. Will update. It’s a very plastic design, however for the money that is expected. The electric controls may be a nice upgrade, however for the base cheap model it doesn’t impact its use. Speed levels - basically slow or fast with no inbetween. One more speed would have been great.

Can't clean the fan blades and inside - it's dangerous and could be a fire hazard – I purchased a Dimplex DCACM20 Air Circulator 23/1/2020. At first I didn't use it much but lately I am using it more and it needs a good clean on the inside but the instruction manual says just wipe the outside with a soft brush and wipe the surface of the unit with a soft damp cloth and a mild detergent which is alright for the outside but how on… Read more

earth do you clean the inside. There is no mention of how to clean the inside. Dust and grime has built up on the fan blades inside the air circulator and all the instruction manual says is 'THE FAN COVER CANNOT BE REMOVED'. It's very dangerous and could be a fire hazard. I wouldn't recommend this product.

How do you clean it? – This is a great little fan but I can't clean it. Now it takes a while to actually start rotating. Probably dust build up because I live out in the country. Please help

Nice looking fan but hard to clean – Nice looking little fan, needs more thought put into accessing fan blades for cleaning. Can be quite noisy, they need a very low setting for at night, I found it too noisy to use in my bedroom at night, so ended up giving it away to a relative. Show details

Pretty good – Great function and form factor. Quite on low speed but noisy on high. Difficult to clean but not impossible. The front of the unit does come off, there is a screw you can access from the back. Once removed, it’s easier to get to cover off. Show details ·  1

Has failed twice in 12 months – Purchased this from appliances Online just 12 months ago and they were wonderful. Within 6 months of moderate use unit failed. Would not work at all. Appliances Online replaced it promptly. Now 6 months after that unit has again failed. Have only just written to dimplex. Has put me right off anything with the Dimplex brand. I've had fans that have… Read more

continued to work after close to a decade, and this thing can't event make it to a year. Difficult to clean, can't get to the fan blades to wipe them down as it is an entirely closed unit. Doesn't seem to be made for any form of repair which is environmentally wrong. Another item that will end up tossed into landfill prematurely Expected more from Dimplex. This was the first Dimplex item I had ever purchased. That's the way it will stay. Only just tried calling customer service as per dimplex's request, got hung up on once and after being put on hold my phone number details were taken for recontact. Don't have any faith in customer service either: no one really there.

Good fan but useless if you can't clean it – This is a great little fan to start with, but as mentioned in the manual, dust build-up will effect the operation and yet you can't remove the grill cover to clean the dust! They recommend to use a vacuum, however, as other reviews have mentioned, this simply does not work. So, depending on your environment, you effectively have a fan becoming increasing ineffective within a few months. Would I recommend it? Certainly NOT! Show details

replacement, not new, but how wonderful to encounter a company with genuine customer care qualities, as older Aussies it's a breath of fresh air. Thankyou Dimplex and congratulations.

Disappointing – Purchased the Dimplex Air Circulator in May 2018. Low setting is reasonably quiet so it suits the main purpose for use in the bedroom to circulate air helping me sleep, white noise effect is helpful to in that respect. But high speed is ridiculous, the noise it makes is very loud, to loud to watch TV with, the increase in air flow does not match… Read more

the decibel increase and the unit vibrates on high, making high useless. But with recent hot nights I really wanted a fan speed a bit more than the low setting. Not good enough for the $80 it cost. The fans blade protector can not be removed which is annoying as it makes cleaning difficult, fiddly and time consuming. I bought this fan after my Dimplex 30cm box fan burnt out after 13 years of considerable use. Dimplex no longer make a 30cm box fan. I now regret not going to Bunnings and getting a Mistral Box Fan for $23 considerably cheaper. 30cm box fans move more air efficiently and considerable quieter
