1 PSm  · Their home price estimates can be incorrect by hundreds of thousands of dollars. Beware. Can waste a lot of your time
1 ilyeq2  · Watch the prices in this place. Ticket price is not the real price.
5 Jayden M.  · Much better search results than competitors. I find it doesn't offer houses outside of my results (other than when the realtors intentionally mislead)
1 simon p.  · Terrible website, filters do nothing and the search only returns 50% that realestate.com finds.
1 Nessy  · Unorganised and lack communication – Horrible company to deal with. No communication between staff members and unorganised.
1 NNair  · Terrible user experience – Sharing properties is hopeless. This site does not respect your time when sharing found properties.

Read the "feature article" by Sue Williams "The housing gap dividing Australia's generations".in Domain SMH which is full of inconsistencies. Saying Baby Boombers "haunt" the wealthier suburbs (if so, so what they have had a life time to work and pay for their homes) but in the next para it states there is a " much higher medians of 45 and 41" in… Read more

such blue -chip suburbs like Point Piper and Bellevue Hill. These age groups are not Baby Boomers so please Sue Williams get it right and back your Baby Boomer claim with accurate evidence and stop this generational vilification. Then to blow your agruement out of the water demographer Bernard Salt states 60 -70 year olds (these are Baby Boombers) are moving to the south west of Sydney not the highly wealthy blue- chip suburbs yu are peddling. So please spare me your divisive rant on generational wealth and housing, because you know what is truely "boring" is your article.

Domain has become an absolutely disgraceful company. Their property valuations are wildly inaccurate, and their so‑called “high estimates” feel like numbers pulled out of thin air. These figures have a huge influence on both buyers and sellers, yet Domain provides zero transparency about how they’re calculated. Buyers often rely on these… Read more

estimates because they don’t always trust their agent, and sellers expect a major platform to reflect the true value of their home. Instead, Domain publishes figures that can be hundreds of thousands of dollars off. In my case, my home is undervalued by $700,000, and even after raising it with them, they still can’t explain where their “highest estimate” came from. They’ve done nothing to correct it, leaving homeowners to deal with the fallout of their careless and misleading data.

What makes this even more ridiculous is that the house next door has been valued at half a million dollars more than mine, despite the fact that my property has superior features including double glazing, brand‑new bathrooms, and solar. There is no logical reason for Domain to value my home so far below a comparable property that is objectively less upgraded.

Domain even asked us to get an estate agent’s appraisal, which confirmed the true value of our home, but they ignored it completely. It wasted our time and the agent’s time, and nothing was updated.

A platform with this much influence should be held to a far higher standard.

The app is almost impossible to navigate. Filters NEVER work. Poor results compared to realestate.com, at least they’re easy to navigate in seconds whereas Domain takes forever to find nothing. Terrible.

Terrible Customer Service – My property has been listed on Domain with a sold price $20000 more than we actually paid. I believe the real estate is using this to drive up prices and when the real estate failed to amend it I contacted Domain. 6 times I have requested help and absolutely no response whatsoever. I am now wary of comparing sold prices on Domain, as I have no faith that the information is true and correct.

really poorly designed website – When searching for rental properties, the map view only works sometimes. Also the price indicator is for what period? A month? A week? A fortnight? a year? who would know as it doesn't state. Really basic features and yet it is lacking these. The picture attached speaks for itself. I think you can do better, a lot better, which is why I use realestate.com.au instead, their site actually works.

Worst search engine – Looking for a house and get this - happens all the time. If caused by Real estate agent, they should be black listed but also this means they all do it! In this day and age, with technology, this is reprehensible.

An indispensable tool when looking for a property – Whether I’m looking to buy, rent or research properties, Domain is my favourite website. I like the easy-to-read format and the bright layout and colour scheme. I can create my own saved searches, with regular alerts delivered to my inbox, daily or weekly, depending on my own preference, or I can setup a shortlist of props that I want to… Read more

investigate further.

Another handy feature is the ability to append your own notes to your shortlisted properties, and to amend, delete or add to those notes. When I’m looking at multiple properties in some cases, in the same building it's useful to be able to write notes to myself concerning the status of each one.

Once you have a saved search you can determine the order that you want to view your properties in that search. I find that ordering them by the open day inspections helps me to plan my schedule. Of course you can also sort from highest price to lowest price or vice versa, newest listed, suburb or earliest inspection. This all helps to make the time consuming and stressful process of house hunting, as simple and efficient as possible.

And it’s free to buyers or renters.

Once I’ve found a prop to rent that I like, there is usually a link to the “2 Apply '' online form, and from there it's a simple process to submit my application. It’s easy to quickly unsubscribe to all alerts when you no longer need them.

There are valuable research tools available, such as the latest sales prices, or info about suburbs or even individual props such as when it was last sold, what the last rent paid was etc. Domain is a veritable mine of information and an indispensable tool when looking for a prop to rent or buy or when you have a prop to list or to sell yourself.

Highly recommended – Gerry Setiyadi, from Ray White Carnegie, ran an extremely professional and ethical marketing campaign. He initially discussed his strategy and welcomed our input. He provided regular progress reports and was always available to answer any of our queries. It was a pleasure to work with him and we would highly recommend him.

McGrath Real Estate Wentworth Falls – Matthew Gale - honest, friendly, professional. Worked hard to find the right buyer at the right price. I highly recommend him and would definitely engage him again in the future. Matthew sold my home to me 7 years ago and I did not hesitate to go back to Matthew - trustworthy and competent.

Domain has listed wrong information about my property which has affected the online valuation and price of the property. I have asked them to correct this wrong information over 1 month ago, and they still haven't done anything about it. I cannot recommend a company that is so unprofessional.

They have my property listed as sold by a real estate company in 2025. I have never had contact with this company. Further, they have my home listed as land only. I have a 3 bedroom house and have lived here for over 20 years. Repeated requests to delete this incorrect information have not had any success. This incorrect information will affect any possible sale I am contemplating.

We are the owners of a house that has incorrectly been listed as sold for an incorrect price. The sale is by private treaty and settlement doesn’t occur till late next year. contract price isn’t incorrect on their site. Not sure what system generated incorrect false information but it now appears on View.com.au also. ?? Real estate.com.au correctly has sold, with no price disclosed as was the agreement with estate agent. I wouldn’t rely solely on these sites for correct historical pricing information

Not worth rating. This site is a waste of time and grossly inaccurate in terms of house values. They say its the government who controls the data they use. If that is the case, we're in big trouble.

Avoid at All Costs - Unauthorised Cancellation, Serious Breach of Services & Ongoing Domain Transfer Nightmare – I have never encountered such an appalling experience with any service provider as I have with Domain.com. What started as a simple WordPress installation issue has spiraled into a complete disaster. Over the past few weeks, I’ve faced repeated cancellations of services—including my hosting, domain, and Google Workspace—without my authorisation.… Read more

No one from Domain.com has been able to explain how or why this occurred, and every attempt to get a resolution has resulted in further complications.

I initially reached out to their support team with problems installing WordPress, but the situation only worsened. My hosting was canceled and refunded without my request, and when I logged in to point my domain name to my new hosting, my domain and Google Workspace were no longer available in my account. When I followed up with support to find out why my domain was missing, I was told it had been transferred to Network Solutions—again, without my authorisation. After contacting Network Solutions myself, I was informed that not only had my domain never been transferred to them, but it had been canceled altogether. This was the first clear answer I had received after multiple frustrating conversations with Domain.com support.

To make matters worse, my Google Workspace account is linked to live accounts that we desperately need access to. We haven’t been able to access these accounts throughout this ordeal, causing significant disruption to our business operations.

After weeks of this nonsense, I begged Domain.com support for a way to escalate the case, desperate to understand how such a serious breach of service could happen. I received no response to my initial escalation request. Out of sheer desperation, I scoured the internet for any contact email linked to Domain.com and finally reached out.

Despite being the one to send the incredibly desperate email, and who has invested the time, resources, and emotional energy into resolving this mess, it was the primary account holder who received a call in response, and all further communication has been directed to them. While I understand this may be their process, as the person in all the support logs and the sender of the email, I deserved the courtesy call to resolve the issue. Which, I stress, has still not been resolved.

While an email was sent to the primary account owner asking them to confirm their identity, which they did, the saga continues. Since then—nothing. No follow-up, no resolution, and still no domain transfer. Every attempt to move forward has failed, and we’re stuck in limbo. It’s been weeks, and the issue remains unresolved. I fear at this point we have lost our domain due to the negligence and incompetence of Domain.com.

To any potential customers: avoid this company at all costs. Their handling of our domain transfer has been a nightmare, and they’ve caused us to lose valuable time, money, and business. Domain.com has been the single worst decision we’ve made for our startup.

Absurd valuations not based on real sales date – Domain property valuations of homes in my immediate area are misleading and wildly inaccurate. For example, one home in our street sold for $9.5M in March 2023. Yet today Domain has this same property valued at Low range of $3.55M; Mid range at $4.04M; and High range estimate of $4.53m. According to Domain, this property has devalued around $5.5M… Read more

Wildly innacurate property valuations – Domain has the impertinence to put wildly inaccurate valuations on properties they have never visited, misreporting No of bedrooms, bathrooms and features etc. They probably cost people thousands of dollars as people follow these guidelines when purchasing. It is appropriate to sue this company for providing property valuations they have no authority to provide.

Inconsistent Valuations -Two identical apartments given wildly different valuations… – Valued my property at $550,000 less than an identical unit 2 floors below me. It is exactly the same layout, finish, floor plan etc…but somehow they say mine is worth 25% less. Offensive and misleading. Very deceptive behaviour that hurts both sellers and buyers. Major error in our tv advertisment – Domains current tv advertisment is compellingly wrong. The defibrillator of median stated is average not median. Median is the muffle number in a set of numbers arranged highest to lowest. Probably make up for the errors on your website. Median when calculated correctly may give a better representation of a data set. This is emparessment for a property company. Geez.

Wildly inaccurate value of properties based on no data at all it would seem – The Domain property values (source Australian Property Moniters) on both properties I own and follow are ~ 40% lower than the Core Logic data and bank valuations. Coronis also seem to use this same source so I certainly would not use Coronis to sell a property for me when the data they use to value my properties is so far off the mark.

A complete and utter load of nonsense – Don't waste your time using the HomePriceGuide value estimator offered by Domain and let me tell you why, Firstly, any Tom, Dick or Harry can put in any property details which are not verified by Domain. E.g. I can put that I have a 8 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms on any property that is clearly a studio apartment and Domain will make no effort… Read more

whatsoever to verify the details. The worst contributors are the "owners" of properties because it's in their best interest that HomePriceGuide to calculate their property to be worth more than it actually is.

Secondly, real estate agents also take advantage of this feature. I have seen studio apartments listed as houses, and again this occurs because Domain allows it to happen. There is a feature to report listings but in reality you're wasting your time because the reporting feature is ignored. I have a keen interest in property and have tried to rectify the misleading information on their site but ran into all sorts of problems being that my profile for some unknown reason was no longer accepting my updates. When reported to tech support, I realised what a useless bunch of people they were and I had more knowledge about their system than they did.

There are other reliable tools available and I would never recommend that anybody in their right mind to treat the information on Domain as reliable.

Property valuations inaccuracy – Valuations provided by domain/Australian property monitors fail to provide accurate valuations and are very misleading. Do not rely on any information provided. similar sized houses in similar condition and structure type on a 500 - 600 sqm lot on exactly the same street is valued at 20 percent higher than my own but the land size is 1148 sqm. Any valuation should include the potential for future development. Noone should be allowed to input valuations without the knowledge of the owner, and only registered property valuers should have any ability to place valuations (not real estate agents, neighbours, owners,, or unknown persons). If the algorithms cannot take into account the property size and potential development and display who has submitted such valuations, it should not be displayed. At this point it becomes a fraud. An owner should have the power to stop the display of personal information such as purchase price, number of bedrooms, bathrooms etc The latter information is only pertinent when an owner decides to sell. APM and Domain should close down the site as should all other oroviders who display unsubstantiated information. It is non-transparent and shows a lack of integrity. ASIIC should invsrigate this ASX listed company for misleading conduct and company internal auditors should review APM data and how valuations have been derived. The 'complicated formulas' should be shown for all to see - I'm sure there are many readers competent in mathematics to dissect their means of valuations.
