was told to email someone called Elizabeth regarding the issue. Upon emailing her, I was advised she's waiting to hear back from the "supplier".
Soon after Elizabeth emailed me back advising that she has ordered new covers for the couch. I'm Happy with the overall outcome.
a new table – A Table, new product delivered with damage to the top and damage to its frame. Paid top dollar, and wait is usually few mounts but you pay upfront. But who cares? for sure it is not Domayne !!! they have already your money !!! So before it arrives, one is left with mercy, hoping that you would get you product worth your money. And truth is reviled the moment you lay your eyes on the product. Domayne, you are disgrace to the NATION !!!
Cheap product and awful service – I just got the dresser delivered. I've got an used product. The mirror which was supposed to be delivered was also not delivered. chairs). My husband took a leave just to receive the delivery but unfortunately it’s incomplete (without informing us before hand). Also when we checked the chairs it’s wobbly (and they haven’t changed it). We thought we paid for quality, but there’s no quality here. Then now, we need to take another leave just to receive the delivery of our dining table they missed. It’s not our fault their delivery is incomplete but we are the one suffering. Getting all the stress and hassle.
Worst assembly experience ever – I bought a bed for $2000+ and the sales rep said I can easily assemble. 2 hours later, I’m still struggling. It’s not about instructions, but the design. Disgusting customer service and dodgy product – At Domayne Castle Hill I experienced disgustingly rude customer service and was sold a dodgy, low quality product. I purchased a table on 18/10/19 which could extend in the middle but after 3 times using it, after only 13 months the table breaks and I find out the middle part was being secured to the main part of the table only by cheap glue… Read more
which failed to keep the table together. I contacted customer service and she said the warranty only covers 1 year and the $200 Warranty of 5 years we paid on top of it doesn’t cover the faults. She wouldn’t even give me the manufacturer contact number and advised me to fix the table with doubled sided tape or get a handyman from internet to do it for me. The woman handling customer service was very rude and aggressive, she hang up on me after yelling at me and telling me it’s my fault.
Shop elsewhere! – We were in the market for a new bedroom suite.....everything, mattress, base drawers bed head. plan, delivery guys were polite and did their job well, but when it came for us to put it together, there was no way to attach the bedhead to the bed.
This is where the Domayne dropped the ball. I called, and was told that if I bought a bedhead that did not fit my bed it was my problem. When I said that I would have assumed that being sold a bed base and head in one go we would have been told that they are not compatible, the salesperson replied "There it is again, that word, assume" with a whole lot of attitude! There is a complete denial of any responsibility in this transaction. They told me that I had not asked if they were compatible, and it's not up to them to tell me. Their attitude was very poor. They obviously have no care about customer satisfaction or retention. The measure of a good sale/service is how the vendor responds when there is an issue and Domayne Castle Hill failed abysmally.
Dodgy products and bad customer service – Bought a coral centrepiece that had a glass base. It fell apart in the first week I had it. It wasn't glued properly. They have always provided really good service – I have purchased a number of items from Domayne Castle Hill and I have always been offered very good service. Latest is new lounge. Choice choice and more choice. Lounge was delivered Saturday, beautifully made but OMG was so uncomfortable and husband and I just hated sitting on it, we just couldn't get comfortable and ended up with bad back pain.… Read more
I called Monday and they were more than happy to take back. I was happy to pay the cancellation fee and thought this was more than reasonable. I have ordered another lounge. I have to wait another 6 weeks but I can live with that.
The original purchase... I wanted different legs, didn't want a skirt, wanted different fabric and accessories and extra fabric. Everything I asked for was provided. I went back the following day after purchase to make a change and order more cushions. Nothing was a problem. I was quoted 6/8 week delivery. I received at 6 weeks.
I was really happy with service. Staff are so accommodating and I know I can be somewhat painful but they just went out of their way to make me happy and satisfied. Thank you Lillian, Clare and Alicia. I really appreciate your patience and assistance.

afternoon, when no one had yet arrived, and I hadn’t heard from the delivery person, I rang Domayne to find out when it might be arriving only to find out I had been taken off the delivery run, because apparently “I had rung up to cancel the delivery” – which I absolutely had not done! The question being that even if I had rung to cancel the delivery (which I did not), when was it rescheduled for delivery? The person I was speaking to admitted that it was not rescheduled for any time. Which begs the question as to what they thought they were going to do with the bed that was sitting on their floor, paid for, but with no delivery scheduled. I wanted to speak to the salesman who had apparently “cancelled” the delivery, but was informed that he would not be back at work until later in the week. The “run sheet girl” simply wanted to reschedule the delivery but I wanted an explanation and wanted to speak to the salesperson before anything else happened. She did not seem to care, or appreciate the fact that I had been massively inconvenienced, not to mention my friend who had taken the day off work to be at my house, and we had received no phone call to tell us they were not coming, and she kept insisting that it was my fault because I had cancelled the delivery!
For the next couple of days, I expected a phone call back from someone at Domayne to sort out the problem. I deliberately left it, because I actually wanted to see what they would do about it. After all, they still had a bed which had been bought and paid for and was still sitting there on their floor with no scheduled date of delivery! I actually expected that a manager or someone would ring me back to sort it out.
It was not until Thursday night that I finally received a phone call from the salesman involved, but his first statement to me was simply “I got a message to ring you." That did not start the phone call well. Either he wasn’t told by the “run sheet girl” what the issue was, or he was being deliberately blasé. When I asked what happened to my delivery, he confirmed that I had never rung to cancel the delivery, and also said that he couldn’t have removed it from the run sheet because he had not worked since the Sunday, as he was a casual.
Then later on that Thursday night, the salesman rang me back to tell me that he had investigated what had happened and that he had inadvertently dropped me off the run sheet – not because I had rung him to cancel it – and when could they redeliver the bed? Or if I wanted a refund I could get that too.
By this time I was so upset about the whole thing that I didn’t want the bed any longer. It just left a horrible taste in my mouth. He was so cavalier about the whole thing, as if it wasn’t a major problem – no apology, no nothing – Just like the “run sheet girl”. The bed gets missed off the run sheet, we deliver it on another day – no problem, or we’ll just give the customer her money back!
I told him that the whole experience had resulted in me just not wanting it anymore, and he said he would have to get the manager to ring me back to organise a refund, but it would have to be the next day (Friday). Finally, I thought, a manager would actually do something about this (and would finally have to be told that there was a problem in the first place).
Friday afternoon, the bedding manager rang me back to organise the refund. She started immediately at that point, without any discussion over what had happened or why it had happened, or even the fact that I had been blamed for it happening in the first place!
The people at that store took the easy way out – they refunded the customer, hoping I’d go away. They could have rescued the sale. Because of their ineptitude and lack of care, the actual outcome has been that I am now without the bed I wanted and Domayne has lost a decent sale (but I guess they just don’t care).
At the end of the day, this is not about a delivery that was stuffed up. These things happen. But it is how the people in the store dealt with the problem that is an issue, and caused me the most upset – particularly the girl I initially dealt with over the run sheet who kept insisting during our phone call that it was because I had rung up and cancelled the delivery that the bed was not being delivered.
Tell blatant lies – We ordered a lounge suite and paid half deposit. Was told it would take UP TO 8 weeks for delivery. They also talked us into scotch guard which we thought was a good idea having grandkids. Rang up to see how the order was going and was told it was going to be another 8 weeks. cancel we incur a 20% charge, not only on the price of the lounge but also on the scotch guard and the $100 delivery fee a total of $460!. How can you incur a cost on 2 things that haven't even happened. Was also told that the salesman shouldn't have told us that it would be 8 weeks and of course he has left. How is that our problem.
Misled – I purchased 5 stools during a non sale period. They were out of stock. The time I was told passed & I called in, I was then informed a few more weeks. Sure. This time passed & I called in again & was then told they were discontinued. These stools were still on display ? delivery time changed from 3 to 6 weeks and still got the order wrong...in a limbo – ordered dining table over 6 weeks back.was told at time of order it takes appx 3 weeks. After than ETA changed to 4 weeks and after waiting for 6 weeks got the furniture however it was not what we ordered. they took the good back as the delivery guy so it was difference than what was on docket. returns calls, the staff made sexually inappropriate comments to my friend while we were shopping ("i could find you a sexy boy"....), i was lied to, a whole tv unit was not added to my order, i was then made to feel it was my fault that they didn't order it, they oversold a bed and instead of taking 6 weeks like they promised, it's now taking 4 months, my other items were supposed to be delivered (finally) last week, and it was cancelled last minute and was meant to be delivered today, and when i said it needed to be here asap as i have work, it is now 11am and i am still sitting here twiddling my thumbs, i could go on and on and on, but i am so angry that even on the day i am about to receive some of my order, i am ready to cancel altogether.
I can't believe this still happens in the 21st century. I spent thousands of dollars there to furnish my new home, and i really wish i had spent it somewhere else on a worthwhile company. Never shop here!!!!!!!!
