Our 18mth old Dreame vacuum cleaner / mop battery died and we had to send the whole unit away to get it fixed. This was in Nov 25 and despite regularly following up with the dealership, they cannot get an answer, battery or replacement unit now 3… Read more

months later. We have had to resort to vaccuming our floors and mopping our tiles which defeats the purpose of buying the unit in the first place. Our unit will also now most likely run out of warranty before we get it back. I am now wondering why I spent over $2k on this vaccum and mopping system.

done twice on a brand new Dream3 L20, check firmware is up to date, it was etc. Interestingly the old Roborock S5 does not have this problem at all. Additionally the Dreame team seem to be very slow in providing a refund. Not a Dreame team in my experience.

phone chargers are up and out of the way. I love the feature of making it vacuum first and then mop. When it’s mopping it’s streak free and dectects the carpet to go around them, and I love the feature of the mop pad extending out. Now I only have to do a big vacuum every so often. I love that you can change the setting of the vacuum and mopping , it’s so easy to use the app, once you get the hang of it of course. ABSOLUTELY A GAME CHANGER! So worth the money

This machine is absolutely amazing! I could never be without it again! – My Dreame L20 Ultra is amazing, I have 5 kids and this machine senses everything and just goes around! No more getting stuck like my old robot. My floors are in a constant state of shine thanks to the vac and mop in one feature. Everything is so smooth and easy to use. I can not rate this machine high enough! Well above the rest!

Terrible – If I could give zero stars I would. whatsoever - not even to say it was on its way so I returned home to find my $2500 machine on my doorstep in plain view from the road and the Problem was still not fixed. After multiple back and forth s it was sent back again under warranty when they finally agreed to replace it. Kicker is, the machine was now discontinued and they offered to replace it with an older model. What an insult. I wasn’t going to accept this and they finally agreed to replace it with the x40 ultra. This is now December 2024. I was assured I would receive a working machine prior to Christmas. Not surprisingly Christmas and new years comes and goes with zero communication, so once again I call to find out when I’ll receive my replacement machine. Now I’m told they sold out in the Christmas new year sales and won’t be getting more stock until end of January. Once again no further communication and no machine, now it’s mid February and I’m being told upon calling and online chats end of February. I’ll now be surprised if I ever see my money back or a replacement machine, do not purchase from this company - the customer service is the WORST I have ever experienced and even if I do get the replacement - I’ll never get to enjoy it due to the ridiculous experience I’ve had dealing with them over the past almost 18 months.

Anyway, luckily this was on sale before June 30, 2024. And based upon the value proposition, we were all quite overwhelmed with the exception of one thing. That it didn't come with the plumbing kit, which is a product sold separately on Dreame's website. Something of course we will definitely sought after at a later point in time.

We have been using this along with the application, using it to map out the floor plan from its LIDAR scanning capability. Set up the programmed cleaning modes amongst other interesting features we have yet to explore fully.

Packaging This comes in a massive box, which upon purchase from Harvey Norman in Fyshwick; I had to drive to the loading dock and when it came out, it was literally about the size of a bar fridge. And I struggled to put it into our car which required a time-consuming amount playing.

So if you are planning to buy a Dreame branded product, you might need to aware of the fact that this item is huge, so either a Ute or a larger SUV (not the medium sized ones); or cop the delivery charge instead.

Once you get it home and open it up, you're presented with neat packaging, almost like a Dyson experience.

Pros (+): - large battery life (60 minutes) - onboard LIDAR and Camera system (can remote connect to the robot) - many cleaning modes - cleaning exclusion zones (requires skill as well as trial and error to get it right) - detachable mop pads - vocalised robot processes (e.g. Activing cleaning mode, Charging) - comes in many languages you can customise to suit you and/or your household; - has relative object avoidance... to a certain point - can be connected to your smart home/office automation network (e.g. Google, Alexa) - can change the sound in which it makes and especially where cleaning modes are concerned. You can program it to undertake quiet cleaning while you and your household are sleeping. - the robot comes with built-in lights so that it can see where it is cleaning

Cons (-): - If your premises contains obstacles, the robot performs a great job, but things like electrical cabling and wires, it does get stuck. - Continuing from the above con, the robot, if you're using a mop mode which takes on the mop pads with it. It can cause the robot to dislodge when it comes in contact with any object it can't overcome.

This results in a disruption to the cleaning process which causes the robot to go offline. Which you as a human being will have to go and reattach the mop pads to re-establish connection to the base station and cleaning mode.

Conclusion In the wild world of household / office cleaning this thing does it almost all, other than the negatives upon what was mentioned earlier.

Do you need this thought? This is not cheap and if you do have the resources, I would at least try out the cheaper alternatives out there. Especially for a vacuum and mop solution in one but in this instance, this model can be plumbed.

What this means, is that the plumbed solution refills the white water container and drains the dirty water it collects without you as a human element ever needing to touch it every so often.

right up to the skirting boards as well. Depending on how often you get it to clean through the week and the type of clean it performs it’s nice to not have to top up and empty the water after every clean.

Only down fall. When you select the cleaner to mop everything first and drop the mop pads back to the station to go and vacuum to carpet areas. When the robo cleaner comes back to the base station sometimes it doesn’t attach the mop pads back on properly and won’t then go into the base station to charge or empty the vacuum container.

Make sure the flap on the back of the cleaner where the vacuum container gets emptied isn’t stuck. Otherwise won’t empty and the vacuum container on the cleaner doesn’t empty into the base station.

Pretty expensive piece of equipment. But all in all if it last for years n years, than it will be worth it.

We have floating floors, tiles and floor mats and this machine will automatically stop mopping and start vacuuming the mats, it will also adapt when the environment changes without having a brain fart. hopeless. They eventually issued us with return token on the 4 Apr 25 and asked us not nominate 3 dates for collection, we did, and these dates came and went and nobody came to collect. Unit failed in the first year of operation and at this stage it looks like Dreame will take another year to get the issue resolved. It is now the 27 Apr 25 and we are no closer to a resolution than when the raised the issue in early March 25. Don't buy this product.

ticket was created. Eventually the status on the warrantee repair page was changed to "Replacement Sent". No communication to me. This was over 3 weeks ago and have not heard a thing from Dreame. I have queried this many times and all I get is a Sorry for the inconvenience and tracking details will be sent as soon as they get it message. How does this take over 3 weeks?? We have tried being patient but this in now beyond ridiculous. Never have we experienced such poor service. Where is the machine? No communication. This all started on the 11th September. use, with diligent maintenance on my part, the vacuum started leaking water continuously from the tank, even when the mops were not installed. This issue led to a perpetually damp environment around the docking station, attracting bugs and creating significant hygiene concerns—particularly alarming as I have young children at home.

Despite multiple videos and photographic evidence submitted to Dreame, clearly demonstrating the malfunction, the resolution process has been frustratingly slow and inadequate. The customer service team, while polite, has not provided effective solutions. They suggested a factory reset and reconfiguration, which did not address the core issue. Their proposal to send the unit back for assessment, without offering a temporary replacement or immediate refund, only added to our inconvenience.

Customer Service Interaction: The response from Dreame's customer service, including the registration for a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA), has been underwhelming. The process required to even initiate a service request was cumbersome and not user-friendly, with limited options to accurately describe the fault and restrictions on how much evidence could be uploaded.

The proposed solution of sending the unit back for further assessment, without a guarantee of a swift resolution, is unacceptable given the clear evidence of product failure. It's been over two weeks since the initial complaint, and the lack of urgency or an effective interim solution has only compounded our family's distress.

Overall Experience: I am incredibly disappointed with the Dreame L20 Ultra's performance and the subsequent customer service. For a high-end product coupled with a three-year warranty, I expected much more in terms of product reliability and customer support. The experience has significantly eroded my trust in Dreame products, and I am considering switching back to Roborock, whose products I have used previously without such issues.

I hope my experience serves as a cautionary tale for potential buyers. It is crucial that a company not only ensures product quality but also backs it up with competent and responsive customer support, especially when the product's failure impacts the health and well-being of its users.

Way way way better than ecovacs x20 – I had the ecovacs x20 and I ended up returning after 6 months due to to so many faults and so much noise. I then got the dreame l20 and it is 100 times better than any ecovacs I have ever got. It has never got caught anywhere and I haven't put any exclusion zones.
