Worst company ever – Obtained quote for gate and balustrading in backyard in December 2015- still waiting at the end of March 2015 to have it installed. Every time I call, there is another excuse as to why the installer hasn't turned up, with the most popular being that 'they just can't find or get in contact with him'. Would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Good job very happy with result – I signed my contact for a set of automated double gates and in-fills and got my fence installed 3 weeks later. I am very pleased with the installation, the installer did an excellent job on the fence and he also left me his mobile number in case there were any problems. Great looking products. Great quality products, excellent installation

great work – Fantastic job done by installer and Joondalup store-cheaper than some other quotes I got and such a good job-would use again no problem. Free quote done ,good price and a great job. The staff were fantastic and so was the installer-nothing was to much trouble for them. They bought out a colour chart and matched my colour for me as well. looks fantastic nothing

them in order to get anything done (they won't call you to let you know anything), the constant excuses and flat out lies from the Dura-Fenz people about why it's taking so long, the installer arriving without a plan and not enough material, the request for money up front...

The list of reasons why our experience was more than disappointing, and became a chore, is not worth going into here, as it's echoed in other reviews in more detail.

Do not be tempted by a reasonable quote - as the unforeseen cost is a nightmare.

even paid 50% to confirm the order. As what everyone has repeated here, I went through the same. The rude lady is called [name removed]. Her typical response is "We will try. We cannot promise". Nothing come out from her and she is useless. The other lady called [name removed] is equally terrible and delivers nothing.

They were supposed to install the gate this Monday as the condition but I had to chase them 2 week ago to make this happened. Then the installer was half day late and rude and didn't know what to do. It was the most expensive lesson I have learned. The gate is still not installed yet and I have no idea what is going to happen next. The worse is I will have to forego the 50% already paid as they are now asking 100% payment before installation!!!

Don't even try to call them unless you want a nighmare and waste the money! No, not even 1 star from me but I am forced to give 1 star - system default!

Rudest saless people in Perth – Don't even think about dealing with this company, they do not have a clue on the organizational or sales aspects of running a business. The woman in phone sales make Basil Faulty look efficient. There tradesmen are ok and I hope they all find a better company to work for in the future.

Pool glass fencing:

Although Durafenz have had our deposit since 15th of August, still no one has come out to even measure. We have been dealing with a lady who has been extremely rude, she never returns calls, promises people will show up and no one ever does. It is the 14th of October and still no one has come out. At one point when we angrily complained that no one had been out yet, she said they would install the fence without measurements?! How you would do that I don’t know, again she promised someone was coming out to install, and again no one showed up. My husband has called the office several times and she never returns the call. He has also taken time off work to wait around for no one to show up.

We have asked repeatedly to have our deposit back, and they won’t do it. We will have to take it further.

Colorbond fencing:

The installers although very nice, did not seem to know what they were doing. They installed the fence incorrectly, with half of it missing lattice and at the wrong height. When we questioned this we were told it was all a lady from the office’s fault because she forgot to send them a plan. It was also our fault for not providing them with the plan either. We obviously had no idea they were out there working without a plan, otherwise alarm bells would have gone off. The fence also didn’t line up with our front fence so there is a sizeable gap. I guess this goes to show you the kind of professionalism this company has, with subcontractors who don’t even bother to go off a plan, and just go by “memory” and “guessing as they told us themselves.

If I went into detail and actually spoke about all the things that they have done badly, I would never stop typing and this would be an extremely long novel.

Do. Not. Use. This. Company. I can't stress that enough.

Although I suspect it’s only a matter of time before they go out of business anyway, with the way they run their company.

wait...here's the best part..thinking the Rep may have left the company I rang head office. Found out Rep still there but was redirected to Customer Service - I asked to speak to the Manager - and was told he refused to take my call and that I had to deal with the Customer Service Officer who...yes promised to get back to me the next day once he had looked into my matter and that was 2 weeks ago. Unbelievable - clearly making so much money that they can afford to turn business away. When the Rep originally came - very pleasant No gate, no follow up, and a Manager unwilling to step up and take responsibility. Fail

Do not engage Dura Fenz for any work – Have waited 6 weeks for the gate installation. The Owner has the cheek to ask for a full payment before installation. Should have stumbled upon the reviews sooner, then will not have to anticipate how rotten the services and workmanship can be. The two good reviews must be written by Durafenz staff and/or owners.

Shocking – We had pool fencing done a few years ago. Job was very average, and even one installer came one day, then just disappeared! Yep, gone without any trace. I had to ride and ride them to finish the job. I would never recommend them. I'm not sure how they are these days, but seems like nothing has changed. I really don't know how they are still in business.

everyday. I also paid top $$ for it. Its is also disappointing Durafenz is still allowed to be trading and consumer protection can not do anything about this poor workmanship provided by Durafenz. For me durafenz damaged my fence they didnt cut the concrete and left it with sloppy edging. The fence is 1.6m short in lenth. They gate had to be taken away twice as the height wasnt right. The gate is full of rust and holes that have been drilled. Finally the motor they supplied was second hand and the inside was full of rust with parts missing. I was lucky enough to get this taken away and I didnt have to pay for it. There is many other fencing place that are cheaper providing good workmanship. I definatly would not recommend Durafenz as you would seriously regret it.

Terrible, go somewhere else! – This company promises the earth when they give you a quote. they fail to tell you that they outsorce the installation to sub contractors, who seem to have no clue whats going on. They got the measurements wrong, damaged our property, and have taken over 4 months and our pool fence is still not in! completed. The installer however left screws all over the driveway and had to clean them up myself - I wonder what he was trying to achieve by doing this! Later the lock broke and it took many phone calls and weeks to have this rectified. The gate how has rust appearing on it and I have been trying since early November 2013 to get this fixed - promises promises but no action.

Terrible service – Visited the O'Connor store about 10 weeks ago and am still waiting for a call back and quote for pool fencing. The fact that they couldn't even have the "open" sign on the door correctly displayed said it all. Thankfully have read these reviews and would never use this company.

I wish I didn't have to – Installation was 5 weeks late, after a 3 week lead time. Initial installation was crooked and the fence was not straight. The second tradie was good, the first shocking. 6 visits and 3 months later it's all finished and working, but there was a lot of phone calls and visits to get it done. They did return my calls during the whole process. Delivery time & product.

Very efficient and accommodating – I contacted the Morley branch to get a retaining fence ASAP as i was under pressure as it was a condition of my house sale. They were able to get it done in a very short time (only 1 week) and the trade was super friendly! Will defo use these guys again :) Fast and efficient in a short space of time

they focused on customer service and having the right attitude.

Measure twice and cut once. How you can get the design wrong twice is amazing and costly for your business.

It all worked out in the end but if you are going to use Dura Fenz then brace yourself for a trying time to get the right outcome. The finished product was eventually right, the trades person doing the job was very helpful Poor office interaction, quote was right but delivered product was wrong twice.

Follow up service – I contacted this company as i needed to change the code for my dura fenz electric gates approx 1 week before christmas as i could not follow the book instructions..i received a call to say some one would be out to see me and sure enough 3 days before christmas 2 people came out and fixed the probelm. I think that was good servive so close to the christmas break.

O'Connor office tells me that our colorbond hasn't come in yet and she will call me the next week. Surprise, surprise I didn't get a call.

Earlier this week - 5 weeks after paying the deposit - I phoned to see what was going on. The lady tells me I'm in luck as our colourbond has just arrived and my new fence can be installed Tuesday morning. Awesome! Tuesday morning. I wait. 9.30, 10am... 11am nobody shows up! So I call the office again. The lady tells me the installer has been held up and won't make it to our place that day. I mean I understand that things happen, but it doesn't take much to just call me and let me know what is going on! So I am told that they will be at my house on Wednesday morning around 8.30am to start installing our fence.

Wednesday morning 8.30am comes and they actually turn up! But that's where the good news ends. They dropped the materials off, told me they would be back by 9 - 10am... and left.

So now it's Wednesday 12.45 pm and they haven't come back. My hubby rang the office to see what was going on and the lady tells us they should be here now. They Aren't!!! I've been waiting around for 2 days now. It's less than a week til Christmas and I have stuff I need to do. Instead I am waiting for these fence contractors to show up.

I am so angry but what can I do? So I'm writing this, hoping that people read it before they choose to go with Durafenz. I will also be emailing everyone I know and telling them to stay well away from this horrible company.

Good customer service is not that difficult!
