I was looking at Chicago fire season 13. In stock in Sydney. It's the 10 September and not released until 25th. And 180 days returns. Season 14 in stock. Not released until October 1st.Very fishy.
I ordered several items from DVD shelf. All were charged at full price but only had 1/2 the number of episodes for each series. Apparently, this was due to the writer's strike in the US. I asked for some sort of refund since these were not COMPLETE series. They offered a $15 credit for one series but refused to do anything about all of the… Read more
rest. I would never ordered from them again. I also noticed that one series (NCIS) was an obvious fake copy. BUYER BEWARE. Do not use this company!
Don't buy from these people, you will only get hassle. DVDs are very dodgy copies. Buy from a reputable firm. They are very reluctant to issue refunds. I was told to send my purchase back to China! To get my refund I had to go through PayPal.

Bootleg Copy – Purchased Glass Onion Knives Out and it's a bootleg copy, not the real deal! There was blurry portions through out the movie! Definitely someone filmed it from Netflix and boxed it up! Should have realized with the cello wrap job on the case!
Total Scam – I purchased 'The Crown, The Complete Fourth Season' and was extremely annoyed to find season 3 disks inside. Total scam!
Scammers! Stay clear – Whilst an item was in my cart and I made an enquiry about it, they changed the price to make it higher! Shop elsewhere.

Very Happy. Quick, and efficient service – I ordered Get Back Collector's Edition from DVD Shelf Australia. Their price was half of that offered by others and with free postage. It was delivered within a week (tracked AustPost) in new wrapped condition.
Great after sales service – Bought a box set dvd series of an old show and had a problem with one disc freezing, Aaron could not supply a new disc so we worked out a discount for me which was put into my bank the next day, very happy with their service.
Great sale – Purchased 2 tv shows for delivery to New Zealand. Shaun advised a few days delay before dispatching because of holidays, however it only took 8 days to get to me, others retailers take weeks/months, very impressed. DVD's were well packaged, undamaged and correct. Highly recommend and look forward to buying more from this store in the future. Thank you Shaun.

Recently purchased over $600 worth of DVd's from DVD Shelf. They advertised that the DVD's were Region 0, but when they arrived they were Region 1. We tried to email that on the email address listed on their website but it is a fake email with the email bouncing and it cannot be sent to them. DO NOT TRUST DVD SHELF AS THEY HAVE NO RETURN POLICY LISTED AND NO LEGITIMATE EMAIL ADDRESS. AVOID DVD SHELF
Yep, total sham. Ordered all seasons of Desperate Housewives on bluray from them. Twice the price of the DVD box set on Amazon and bluray option not found not anywhere else online (that was a sign!). The copies that arrived were pirated copies of the DVD set, burnt onto recordable bluray disks. I then did a search on the "Australian" address… Read more
that appears on their website. It is for a completely unrelated company. The disks play, and we're watching Desperate Housewives... but I could have done the same for half the cost.
I got yellowstone boxset as a gift for my partner. 1 disc is cracked all the way through... multiple other discs are all scratched and won't play. I've emailed multiple times and noone gets back to me!! Not happy!!

Poor quality, poor service, DVD faulty, suspect pirated version – Warning: Do not buy DVDs from this site. We ordered 1) Beyond Paradise: "Disc 1" did NOT play at all, and Disc 2 & 3 poor quality display "International Regions Discs": 2) Harry Wild - Accidently ordered BluRay but latter tested on friend's BluRay observed poor quality and menu-selections combination of languages Chinese and translated English… Read more
- suspect this a pirated copy from China. I provided feedback that received sellers abrupt reply. Then I retuned these DVDs for refund explaining above, BUT DVDShelf upon receipt marked "RTS" on unopened package and I received this in my letter box today! BUYER BEWARE
Slack – I placed an order and waited the 2-3 weeks like their websites says. The tracking # was given but no movement of the item. Emailed them and “Shaun” said it was due to covid and no staff. Amazingly the item stated to move and I got it a week later. They just lie.
Professional Bootleggers! Beware! – We ordered "RICK AND MORTY SERIES FIVE", believing it was a licensed release. We were extremely disappointed to discover that we had been sold a poor quality bootleg with serious authoring faults, making this DVD entirely unacceptable merchandise. Following is a detailed list of the issues and concerns arising from the product we were sent ... … Read more
1] The "Sub-titles For The Hearing Impaired" cannot be switched off, because they're not really sub-titles. In fact, careful examination of the DVD's data content reveals that it contains no text files for any subtitles whatsoever. The subtitles that you see onscreen are recorded into the actual video image throughout every episode, so they're a permanent part of the picture, and you're stuck with them, whether you want them or not. This is an immensely distracting blot on the screen, and renders the whole DVD virtually unwatchable.
2] There are no production and copyright tags at the start of the disk. The Main menu layout is "home made" in its appearance, the episode titles are entirely missing (which they shouldn't be) and the episode numbering carelessly switches format partway through the list (from "E01" to "#05") which is just sloppy.
3] The logo "Adult Swim" appears in the bottom right corner of the screen throughout every episode. This is not the logo used by Adult Swim's online streaming service, and they have no DVD label of their own -- in fact this is the logo shown onscreen during actual television broadcasts on the Cartoon Network after 8pm, showing that the video files on this DVD were ripped by a member of the television audience.
4] "Rick and Morty" is exclusively distributed on DVD in Australia and New Zealand by MADMAN ENTERTAINMENT. No one else is licensed to sell the product in either of those territories. Yet this DVD is completely unknown to them. They didn't release it.
5] The DVD packaging claims that the DVD is published by WARNER BROTHERS, and goes on to state: "The sale or rental of this product outside of the USA or Canada has NOT BEEN AUTHORIZED by Warner Bros Home Entertainment, and is in DIRECT VIOLATION of its written terms of trade." Yet DVDshelf sold it to us in Sydney, Australia, brand new and sealed in plastic, shipping from an address in Chullora (which is also in Sydney).
6] The page for this item on DVDshelf's online store claims that the product is in PAL format and coded Region 4 only (for Australia & New Zealand exclusively).
However when the product arrived, the packaging claims that it is NTSC format and coded for Region 1 only (for the USA and Canada). If it was a legitimate WARNER BROTHERS product, as alleged by the outer wrapping, then this would actually be correct.
However when the disk data was examined, both claims proved to be equally false. It is neither Region 1 nor Region 4. The disk actually proved to be coded for Region Zero, flagging the maker's likely intention to sell it outside of its legally agreed borders.
A disk which is unprotected by an active Region restriction is in breach of the agreement between Adult Swim (the publisher) and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (the distributor).
7] The DVD carries various Canadian Board of Censorship ratings and advisories, but no Australian one whatsoever. Given that this DVD is not declared by DVDshelf to be an "import", it is required by law to have been seen and rated by the Australian authority before it can be sold in this territory. Neither of these conditions has been met.
8] The shipping label pasted to the outside of the envelope offers the following description of the envelope's contents: "HDMI Cable". It has come to our attention that BOTH of the DVDs we have so far ordered through DVDshelf have claimed "HDMI Cable" as the contents.
The misrepresentation of contents on an official Australia Post document is a serious breach of federal postal law.
We trust you will understand why it is unacceptable to take and keep money for supplying product of this nature.
Advised me item was posted. A week later Australia Post still don't have it – Dishonest is about all I can say in regards these people. Advised me my item was in the post on 17 October. Tracking still pending as of 22 October. Response from them now is that they haven't actually posted it and I should just wait on them for 2-3 more days. No thank-you. AVOID
No Hassles – Ordered box set of "that 70's show" which I could not get anywhere else unless I wanted region 1 which is no good to me in Oz. DVDShelf offered the box set for $85.00au in region 4. The dvds arrived within 14 days which is totally acceptable given that most of Sydney is in lockdown at the moment. The dvds came marked for region 2 but play fine on… Read more
my region 4 player. Very well packaged too. So, all in all, I am happy with my purchase and would use this company again.
Good service – Had some hiccups in your process between confirmation of order and what was sent. It was sorted with good service and prompt support and very happy with the end product.
Nt genuine – I wish I had read all these reviews before buying 2 boxed sets. You can tell they are not original, plus they say only for sale is USA and Canada, and I am in Australia. I did check if they played and luckily they did, but i would definitely not recommend buying from here.
Fake DVDs - don’t buy from here – I purchased a DVD box set believing it to be ‘real’. It took weeks to arrive and when it finally did you could tell it was a fake copy. One of the dvds even had another movie on it. Don’t buy from here. They only sell copy dvds from China.
Stranger Things boxset (seasons 1 to 3) – Thank you for your commendable service during this pandemic.. Items ordered arrived safely and promptly trustworthy online business .. excellent turnaround from time of purchase to arrival in hand Thanks guys keep up the great work !!!!

DVD Shelf and Buy DVD's NZ – DVD Shelf and Buy DVD's NZ are both the same company, they sell rip off copied DVD's. I purchased a DVD from DVD Shelf for playing in New Zealand area code 4, the DVD I received was a fake copied DVD, the box said it was for Canada and US distribution area code 1, the DVD was not even in HD, the box did not have Roadshow Entertainment's logo or… Read more
the correct serial number or bar code, the DVD did not have the correct serial number or title on the discs, the printing on the disc was inferior and patchy, the printing on the case and box was inferior and lopsided, the case itself was not the genuine one used by Roadshow Entertainment, the list goes on and on. DVD Shelf insisted it was a genuine DVD which was utter rubbish, Fortunately I had paid by Pay Pal so I opened a case and got a refund.
scammers – Ordered a box set from them, (obviously did not arrive), would not answer phone or emails or any messages on their website. Have taken my money! Do NOT use this websiste, they are fraudsters!
Terrible/criminal – They do not answer phone calls or emails these guys are scammers selling bad copies of dvds Don’t buy from them you will never get your product or money back
Chicago PD purchase review – Great service. Purchased Chicago PD Season 7. They are the only place that I could find that has it. Good quality and really cheap price. Arrived within time frame quoted. Really happy with service and purchase.
FRAUDULENT SCAMMERS. Do Not buy from this website! – Please do not buy from this website. Poor customer service and no responses to emails. Postage took almost 2 weeks, only to get Fake Bootleg Region 1 NOT Genuine Region 4 Australian Release as advertised and a DVD missing. They have multiple websites and have done this to numerous people and need to be stopped.
0 stars - Did not receive DVD set after 3 months they said their factory burnt down. DVD shelf - you suck – No DVD, took my money, no answer to my emails. Still waiting after 3 months. Hate these scammers that take your hard earned money and give you nothing. Don’t buy from them.
DVD Shelf - No Confirmation. No Reply. No Follow Up. No DVD – With my DVD order on 5th March, this company has not: 1. Been able to be contacted by phone 2. Replied to any emails 3. Confirmed my order 4. Conveyed any delivery dates But they have taken my money.
No problems, happy with my order – They don't send a payment receipt to make you feel like you will receive your product. I was nervous! My box set took a while to arrive, I sent an email and they assured me it will arrive ...and it did eventually. I am really happy with my purchase. And it was a very good price.
