Best Vacuum of its Time – My Dyson DC04 is an absolute miracle! As I have previously stated in a few of my other "Vacuum Cleaner" reviews I take then from hard rubbish and restore them, when I saw this on the rubbish I rushed out of the car and took it, this is not the point though. this beast! When I picked this machine up it was in perfect condition! The only issue was that the hose was missing, the attachments had never been used and the brush roll was clean as, although the clutch was making that irritating noise, (I talked with the owners and found out they found it too loud and bulky for them). Unfortunately, the filter disintegrated when I washed it (was to be expected) so I ended up using the filter off of an old scrapped DC05, the cyclone of the machine was very clean and just needed a little wash, and the post-motor filter was replaced with another one, I ordered a hose (The green one from the green dc04) and attached it.
The performance of this machine is absolutely outstanding, I am so happy with it, as soon as turned on the cat fur flies right into the canister, although I find it really loud and bulky it works so well, and I hope that it will continue to thrive, although when I turn it off the brush roll and clutch seem to rattle a little bit, so I am a little unsure about that.
Terrible – Sta rted falling to pieces at the end of warranty. I persisted with it for a few more years but found i was sending it back for repairs approximatly every 6 months. Continiously the turbine fan would fly apart disintergrating the casing efficient when working (in one piece) Constantly breakingOverpriced for the quality
