buyer beware – I have had 2 tables returned from the Albury store, the tables were from their clover range due to the wood splitting, apparently caused by the heat I was told by the Albury store, . time to me I was left with the packaging dumped on the floor. I said to delivery person they took the packaging the last time why would this be any different, I was told it was not their job. Adding to my issue is I am getting over a knee replacement and find it difficult to bend down. Thank you early settler Albury for lack of customer care here. How long will the 3rd table survive for before splitting

Up Market $2 Shop Filled With Poorly Made Chinese Rubbish ! – Had to rate this store with one star as it would not let me proceed - should be zero stars even negative stars. Purchased several expensive items from this shop vanity mirror , bath , plumbing fixtures ,basins . Paint was already flaking off the vanity mirror when it was taken out of the box it continues to loose large strips , bath legs fell… Read more

off whilst being used damaging our tile floor , fixtures in basins are a poor fit cheap rubbish , we purchased these items a couple of years ago but had instant problems with the products and the manager.

Owner didn’t want to know about it , told us it was our fault rude arrogant man would be better suited managing a rubbish tip , even then I’d feel sorry for the rubbish .

Don’t be fooled by the flashy sign on the shop front . This shop is filled with cheap poorly made Chinese junk - who charges extortionist prices ! It’s an up market $2 shop . Buy goods at your own peril.

Try dealing with the owner when the junk he sells you breaks or fails !

Give this rubbish shop a wide berth and spend your hard earned cash in a better store in Albury.

Steel you can bend with your bare hands! – We purchased the Regent queen bed in store at the end of 2016. It took two MONTHS for our order to arrive. The bed was used for one year before any problem became apparent; note that for the majority of the year, there was only one person sleeping in the bed. pulling out all the slats and resulting in a very rude awakening at 4am. When I inspected, I realised that many of the welded spots were torn and that the entire frame was damaged/bent inwards from the pull of the support beam bowing. The slats were warped. The middle beam was so bent that it was touching the floor. I later found that I was able to bend it with my bare hands - so much for "steel."

We attempted to get a refund, as the bed was in no way usable (as mentioned, the bend of the beam had also damaged the rest of the frame, the slats, etc). We felt that this constituted a major product failure. However, our complaint was dismissed by Early Settler. They begrudgingly offered store credit, which I felt inadequate as the Regent is the lowest cost bed they offer, and I'd bought it on sale - in order to replace the bed with store credit, we would need to spend yet more money with Early Settler. Eventually they stopped returning our calls and replying to our emails. We chose then to contact Fair Trading who confirmed that we were entitled to a refund under Australian consumer law, as I had been sure of all along. Early Settler reluctantly complied, but made sure to request that we take the mangled bed back to the store rather than the tip, as they need it for "spare parts" (an odd request, in my opinion. Do they intend to try hiding the damage and reselling the defective bed? Buyer beware). I won't be buying anything from Early Settler again.

Poor Customer Service – Zero or better still minus stars for Early Settler - They can't order a replacement cushion cover for my stripped beige and cream couch or tell me the name or code of the material. They only order whole couches from China was all the employee kept saying over and over. What incredibly poor customer service! shocking quality – We spent a lot of money only to receive damaged goods. The legs fell off our claw foot bath and we were treated like liars! It had been installed by our plumber and I was in it at the time and aggravated my already bad back.  Show details
