Delivery is appauling – We purchased a few pieces of furniture earlier in the year in your store. Nothing is available to take straight away, which is ridiculous, you have to wait for them to have it shipped up from their storage in Victoria. One piece was on back order and we were initially told about a month, which was fine, however, that month turned into 2… Read more

months.....6 months later, we got our item. That is appalling.

I swore never to shop there again, however decided to try one more time and ordered a rug online. Another big mistake. I ordered it and ensured that the website stated it was in stock. All it needed was to be shipped up from their warehouse to my local store.

2 weeks later, it has not moved. It has not been shipped up, I have not been told of any delay, it is just sitting there in limbo. No response from customer service. There is absolutely no excuse for it to not be dispatched if it is in stock. If it is not in stock, there is also absolutely no excuse for me not to be contacted to advise of the delay.

I will not shop with them again. Whilst their items are beautiful, their deliver is absolutely terrible.

Never, Ever again.

Pilling on new lounge – I bought the boden lounge last year. within a few months it started pilling. Sent complaint and photos to head office, they stated this was normal and it would stop. Lady at store came out said to depill lounge myself. I didn’t pay all this money for a lounge for this to happen. They did follow up but not happy with result. home; only to realize on arrival that we forgot an item not on the list. I rang and spoke to Kelan and he was more than happy to assist and help to add the item and take payment. He emailed me the corrected invoice and now we await the arrival of our furniture. Overall, our experience was hassle free and enjoyable. I was impressed by the quality of the items we bought too, being a bit of a wood-worker at my local Men's Shed. My only concern was that my disability walker had a few tight spots to negotiate, but this was easily overcome. I'd recommend anyone looking for good quality furniture with a great range to select from to visit and enjoy the warm friendly staff assistance you will find.

Where has this shop been!!!! – The sales staff are friendly. I was spoken to like a person and not just another customer. I would definitely go back to purchase more irems. All items are absolutely beautiful.

labelled “Hamilton” it was extremely light In colour, and the dimensions were different. It was not Mansfield it was very very light which did not blend well with my other furniture bought from early settler. I then called the Campbelltown store and spoke with Debbie, She was speaking to me rudely, she was unprofessional, instead of coming up with a solution it seemed like Debbie just wanted me off the phone and insisted for me to take floor stock and provide a credit, seemed that Debbie was too busy to deal with my complaint and would rather just palm me off with the easiest solution. After getting off the phone with her I had a think about it, and rather just keep what I didn’t order and just not deal with early settler again and find another shop that knows how to speak to paying customers nicely.

Pain in full months ago. No item, no refund, no customer service. Beware – Bought an item back in June 2020, paid in full and was told to expect delivery in a month. Nearly 4 months later still no item, I’ve asked for a refund, no refund. Go elsewhere, go where you can pay and walk out with the item. Staff not helpful. A waste of time. Show details

early settler 5 yr fabric protection all a scam? – I purchased lounges with the 5 year fabric protection earlier this year..we have since got a small stain that we have tried and tried to get off ..on the 19th of april i lodged an enquiry to have this cleaned as per the warranty , since then nothing at all has happened... sent emails ..have been promised return calls .. with no response at all!! … Read more

Campbelltown Manager says " She is not the truck driver! " – Two months ago we ordered a heated towel rack from Early Settler furniture shop over the phone and paid the full amount. We were told that it would take two weeks for it to be delivered. After two weeks we called them and found out it got damaged during delivery and it would approximately take another two weeks for an other one to be delivered.… Read more

When questioned whether there was any compensation for not delivering on time there was no straight answer other than our manager would give you a call to discuss. Manager didn't call of course. After a few attempts I managed to get in touch with [name removed], the store manager at Campbelltown.

She was very short and unapologetic. When questioned about the delivery date she rudely said " in a week or so, I don't know. I am not the truck driver!!!" After a week we still had no news from [name removed]. I left a number of messages for her to call me back. It was frustrating. When I managed to speak to [name removed], she mentioned that our towel rack left Newcastle for Melbourne to be used in a photo shoot! I nearly fell off my chair! She also added that it would be another couple of weeks before it arrived in Sydney. I requested her to refund the full amount and end the circus. She offered me a store credit or alternatively, I would have to go to their Campbelltown store get the credit card transaction reversed. I said, I would never step into her store and asked her to refund us on the phone and she just did that.
