strong chemical smell The base of the cardboard box that the buffet was in was also wet now sitting on my hardwood floor. As I unpacked the furniture the smell was even worse the packing inside stinks of chemicals. And it got worse every piece of furniture was damaged certainly didn’t resemble what was in the show room I’ve seen better quality timber on packing crates. I rang the store day of delivery to inform them of the problem sent photos the next day I was told the manager would call Monday that didn’t happen I called them I was told would be picked up on the 14th November. I think this is totally unreasonable I want my money refunded promptly and these items of furniture removed sooner than the 14th Be wary of purchasing this range very poor quality. Won’t purchase from them again.

satisfied at all, they said oh it’s “just wear and tear” and to get a de piller to fix it. After complaining saying I am very de satisfied with thay response they said they would get someone from the repairs team to come out and de pill my lounge, he came out with a tiny little de piller machine and started doing a little section and said yeah so obviously it’s not going to perfect it’s just the fabric, well it pilled the next day. We were never advised this fabric does pill and you’ll need to sit there for hours a day and de pill after only owning it a few months. We are still fuming and will be taking this further to fair trading.

been told to wait and call back. Never happened. Till today there is no phone call nor email back. The warranty reference number is 79031. Nothing will get done if there is no communication. Really don’t understand the mindset of the customer care team, how do you call yourself customer service if you don’t even talk to your customer.

Never got a response for payed item missing beware – As the description says, I contacted early settler for a dior knocker online and never got a response, the item was overpriced and wanted to clarify what happened with delivery never got contacted. What a waste!  Show details

Quality control on door handles? – I purchased door handles, internal hardware, hinges and door stops from Early Settler and was shocked at the horrible quality of these products. not enough screws were provided and no instructions/templates provided.

I have renovated many homes and tried the Early Settler selection for the first time (paying MUCH more than I normally would) and I have never come across such a lack of QC. Overall, I am shocked at the prices they charge versus the quality of the product.

TL;DR Don't make the make mistake I did! Go elsewhere for your door hardware!

Melbourne to see if they had a damaged one back that had the splash back intact. They did and shipped it to the store for me. I went in to collect last week and was told there would be no charge!! Amazing customers service and i was thrilled with the efforts they went to so that my bathroom renovation looked complete. Can't wait to do my ensuite with the Beechworth vanity that i have also purchased from this store.

I was so happy that i even purchased yet another item from the store (don't tell my husband!)

Thank you so much for the effort taken and making my day!

Great to have good customer service to their loyal customers when you do not get that so much these days from other stores. Will be back in no time to do some more shopping!

Bella Vista store: terrible would be a compliment – I was unfortunate enough to ever deal with the Early Settler store in Bella Vista. I was ripped off, given damaged products and to "apologise" for the sheer inconvenience and unprofessional manner - I was "upgraded" to another table -- one that was worth far less than the one I had purchased. Bad service, virtually no warranty, you buy one thing and you receive another.

was found interstate and was to be delivered on 6th October. It didn't turn up! I was told a week later that it had not been delivered because it too was found to be damaged on arrival to their store. It is now 14th November and I am still waiting for a response. Fair Trading will be informed today of this! the sales lady very sympathetic but said the matter was out of her hands. Very little communication from the manager, no answer to my emails and when he does respond I get empty promises!
