approximately two weeks to be dispatched from the Melbourne warehouse. However, it didn't arrive until 9 weeks later. I picked up the item in late June but only discovered the problem yesterday during installation as I have just moved into a new built house.
I visited the store today to request a replacement for the defective flute. I was served by [Name Removed], the Store Manager, who showed no empathy for my situation. She incorrectly insisted that I had received a refund last week for this item. I tried to explain that there was a partial refund of $104.48 on April 20th because I was incorrectly informed that the item had arrived, however this was a mistake made by the store, therefore they refunded part of the order as I didn't want to pay for something I had not received, which is just common sense. Despite my explanations, [Name Removed] was disinterested and insinuated that no further action could be taken since, according to her, I had not paid for the product. I pointed out that this was illogical and provided evidence of full payment, including the tax invoice and bank receipt. My frustration escalated when [Name Removed] continued to ignore my valid concerns and treated me as if I were being dishonest. To my shock, another salesperson named [Name Removed] approached me and called me a "[Content Removed] rude [Content Removed]." He continued to use abusive language, making me feel extremely uncomfortable until I left the store. Throughout this incident, [Name Removed] stood by and did nothing to address [Name Removed] inappropriate behavior.
I am deeply appalled by the inappropriate and offensive behavior. I have never in my entire life been spoken like this by retail staff in a business where I have spent hundreds of dollars!! The lack of professionalism and empathy, especially from a Store Manager, is just mind blowing! These people have no intrest in providing any level of service and in actual fact should not even be employed anywhere! THIS IS A WARNING FOR ALL NOT TO SHOP AT EARLY SETTLERS. Arms are studded in a classic 'Club' style and they are solid and durable. We love these chairs and they were excellent value for money. The company delivered and installed the seats for us and we also received two complimentary cushions. (See images). We are extremely satisfied with these products and look forward to many more hours of relaxation in our favourite chairs.
Warranty claim – Staff and management of Hervey Bay store are very obliging and helpful . Shonky kitchen units – Early Settler delivered to me two kitchen units with damaged granite benchtops, deep scratches and 2.5cm letters and numbers etched into them. After 20 plus emails back and forth they are trying to wiggle out of their responsibility under consumer law in Queensland and refuse to pay for the cost of fitting replacement benchtops to the units. units I purchased came with the benchtops attached. Early Settler say it is the customer's responsibility to refit replacement benchtops. How ridiculous given I paid for units with benchtops attached and this is how they were delivered to me by Early Settler. I would be out of pocket for the cost of fitting the replacements and this makes a mockery of Early Settler's repair/replacement waranty. I would give zero stars if I could because of Early Settler's tactics. Now they are attempting to intimidate me by saying they will close the case. I am referring this to Office of Fair Trading. Be cautious of this company when purchasing the kitchen units. Check over thoroughly and if any damage be prepared for lengthy negotiation and significant inconvenience. Check your consumer rights.
Expensive bed, not fit for use – We went into the store and spent about $7000 including a $2500 on a King Hampton bed frame that within two weeks, started creaking and making all sorts of noises that are incredibly loud and impossible to sleep on because when you roll over, you wake the neighborhood!. warranty claim weeks ago and had to follow up many times before they finally offered to send some foam tape to fix the problem! Which I explained was a temporary fix for a bed that should last at least 5 years and wasn't acceptable.
We got the guy who the shop recommended to assemble the bed to come look at it and he said the only way to stop the noise is to put screws everywhere. I was told we can swap it for another bed set but they don't have the one we want till June. I want a refund but they insist on trying to fix it, but drilling screws everywhere and adding foam tape that won't last is not an acceptable fix. I've emailed every day for the past 9 days and still no response. Incredibly frustrated and disappointed.
We have been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for 6 weeks now and want to get it resolved but Jess doesn't respond. I hope you will make it right and refund us.
