Order placed was charged twice. Difficulty finding contact number to speak to customer service as their chat box doesn’t cover this kind of query. Suppliers had only received one payment. Customer service non-existant. Customer service refused to send email contact so that I could provide proof. Told to go to my Bank to sort out. Tried to convince me that their security on their site was safe. AVOID EBAY!!!!!
I will never use eBay again
I purchased a watch from India. When I received the package it was empty. The watch had either not been put in the package or was stolen between the seller and the India post office. I attempted to resolve this with the seller who told me to "get lost". I attempted to work through eBay for a refund. But eBay still think the watch is "in transit" and there is NO way to communicate with eBay. I ahve had it and I will never use eBay again for purchasing.
Appalling customer service with blatant lies
Offer fake vouchers of compensation for errors to appease people and then offer no support when the vouchers don’t work
My accout was SUSPENDED FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER. I bought a product that was clearly not what was shown and described in the ad. So I complained and then accepted the mitigation offered by the seller. Next thing, out of the blue with no warnings, Ebay sent me an email saying I was permenently suspended and that I could not even appeal the descision. I cannot even close the account and trying to get help to at least ask for a reason I get directed to a $2 payment!

Got charged 4 time for the same parcel. Called ebay customer service and they not able to rectify this postage. How can you pay 4 time for the same parcel? If do not use the postage label they still charge you for postage. DO NOT USE EBAY POSTAGE

I notice the current advertising campaign by eBay across Australia. Having been a regular eBayer overseas for over 20 years, purchasing almost anything and always with very quick delivery, my Australian experience over the last 10 years has been quite the opposite. Delivery times are always ridiculously slow in Australia, even metro to metro, which is an issue firmly under the control of Australia Post. As such, I generally no longer purchase things on eBay simply because of the diabolical delivery service offered by Aus Post. eBay should first sort out their postal partners before they start advertising on the TV.
Difficult to contact, slow delivery of purchases, "Form" replies to complaints
I have recently purchased 2 items on eBay from the U.S. Both have had unacceptably slow delivery times within Australia - 8 and 6 weeks respectively from Sydney to Perth I went to eBay "Help" but couldn't find any way of contacting them directly by phone or email. I had to search on the internet (not their website) to get an email address. I wrote to them with my complaint and it took 4 days for a response to come from Switzerland. It spoke in generic terms about my complaint and gave me a $100 eBay voucher "as a onetime courtesy and gesture o...f goodwill". I don't want gestures, I want my parcels. I will not be using eBay again if the postage option is "eBay standard international delivery" - it is supposed to "provide sellers with a a lower cost international delivery option" according to my email response. If eBay don't police their contractors and ensure they're providing a reasonable service, then they shouldn't be providing this as their only postage option.
Private information sellers
My ID number, phone, and address were sold by eBay to several marketing organisations. They keep calling my number and saying that I have an outstanding balance on Ebay. I tried to chat with customer service and the person named Anjali said that I was probably a bad person and have a stalker. How rude and unprofessional. They did not ask for any details about spam callers from their company and did not even want to deal with complaints. By the way, all products that came to me from eBay recently were all damaged or did not work, any conversations with sellers ended up unfinished because they said that the issue of AusPost. Nice. I deleted my account and will never sign up again.
Ebay is an indian run scam

When you find out you have been done over with your ebay purchase (which is very often as most of the new items are utter knock of garbage ) you can open a dispute and return the rubbish item but then ebay will say that their sellers have a good (selling history) with ebay and shut you down siding with the dodgy seller almost every time!!! Ebays buyer protection is non existant and they just love the money coming in so as a buyer,you are scr#wed! Just remember,it wasnt all that long ago that ebay was busted for aiding t#rrori...sm by governments worldwide and were almost shut down. Now they just steal your hard earnt money and buy up property in Australia because our goverment is a joke. Dont buy from ebay. You will lose bigtime!
crap customer service and refund policy
using ebay for years but lately they have changed their refund, before could get refund if item was faulty now they just dont care about customers..amazon is prob better to use..seller has promised free item posted then refund and nothing..i will never use ebay again or refer them to friends..poor customer service..website needs refresh its new paint its living in the 90s hence why people now prob use amazon, half of the stuff on ebay is faulty and sellers get away with anything like landlords..buyer beware all rubbish, im sad and depressed but ebay didnt help
They Certainly know how to jab you with fees
Sold and item to an overseas purchaser, ebay decided to slug me a fee not only for the sale price, but also for the shipping charge that I make NO money on. So they double dipped on fees just because they can, then also hit me for a conversion fee. Thats three fees all up. I cant wait till a competitor gets up and running so I can tell ebay to Get F&^#ed.

Does not even deserve a star for delivery service
They have sneaky way of putting a REGULAR subscription service charge to ensure you get normal time deliver (not urgent delivery). When you opt not to have that now, the delivery is slowed to the extends that it takes you forever (more than 60 days to get your product). There are other better quality service delivery than this site now. It will be my topic of conversation now with everyone i interact with. Ebay want to proof a point, they will get it.
ebay has screwed the poooch
they just have just developed practices that are not honest anymore...been buying for 20 yrs, no more....cant leave honest feedback,you get blocked.

I feel it is because they are there for the seller only. They provide a token support to the buyer for 30 days after purchase, after that, they don't want to have anything to do with you. I have only ...been able to communicate with them by online chat, after you get past the BOT!

The eBay 'Help' access is a tiny font right at the bottom. It will try to get you to read their useless 'what to do' self-help . I just ignore all that and just keep searching to find the 'CHAT NOW' f...unction from which I usually get helped over a problem, either as a buyer or as a seller. However the whole 'help' system is designed to send you in circles and frustrate buyers and sellers. Also their web pages are continually *ucked with to make it hard to negotiate if help is needed or even just to buy or sell. Currently selling commission is roughly 12%, and yes, always check where sellers are really located, many who say they are in Australia and even give a City in Oz, are really in China, which makes dealing with issues very difficult if not impossible. I have started buying from Aliexpress, yes, from China but sellers do not get paid until the buyer accepts and confirms delivery, they also can get the flick from the platform if too many negative feedbacks,
Why does Productreview not change the rating system. The way that companies and products are rated on here is ridiculous EBay for example has 1400 negative comments and scores 1.8, that is rubbish and meaningless and does not reflect how bad they are!
Because ebay has become a joke, a paradise for online criminals...Too bad it was once a respectable site.
