Ecoriginals Nappies Newborn

I never thought I’d write a negative feedback but it really got to me. We really love Ecoriginals. It’s THE only nappy brand that doesn’t cause my babies nappy rash. And I tried a lot. When travelling to Europe, I was bringing Ecoriginals with me, and when I ran out of them, nothing could replace them. Nothing - I tried all of the ‘natural’… Read more
recommendations they gave me there. So I want to believe that Ecoriginals are indeed using natural materials for their nappies.
However, what is driving me crazy is that they keep reducing their nappy size, while keeping the recommended weight the same. I just restocked nappies for my newborn. The new nappies are suddenly so different to the ones we just used, and are SIGNIFICANTLY smaller! The nappy literally doesn’t fit on my newborn’s bum. Yesterday size 0 fit well and today, the new shipment, I cannot fit the nappy size 0 on my 2-week newborn. Also the nappy keeps opening now, not sure of it’s because how tiny it is or the quality of the sticker went down. And well since the same nappy suddenly doesn’t fit anymore, I’m left with 9 packs of nappies that I can’t use. My honest believe is that if Ecoriginals do something like this (reducing sizes), they should warn the existing customers.
And this is not a one time occurrence. The same thing happened with my toddler’s Ecoriginals nappies one year or so ago. They suddenly reduced the existing nappy size.
Really really annoying.
One more thing: I never buy nappies on Ecoriginal’s website - they are always very late with delivering the order and sometimes even get it wrong! Even with the subscription I’d run out of nappies since they wouldn’t ship them on time! So my advice is to use some other retailer for these.
Terrible, come apart within minutes ending up in leaks every time – Probably the worst nappies I’ve tried so far. Every single one I’ve tried to use on my baby ends up in a big leak, wee or poo. I’ve seen responses from the company that put it down to ‘sizing’ issues or problems with the way that parents are fitting the nappy to their baby. Bollocks. The tabs don’t even stick!! The nappy tabs come off within… Read more
minutes of being put on my baby, ending up in a nappy that doesn’t even stay done up. No wonder there are leaks every nappy. I’ve tried multiple times to make these work but they just don’t. Without tabs that stay down there’s no point to these nappies. And it’s clearly not a sizing or fit issue, even after reading up on them and trying my hardest to make these work with the advice from the company. Very happy I only purchased a trial pack, they are useless. I would have been pretty peeved if I subscribed or bought a bigger pack. Will go back to the other Eco brand I was using, I was just wanting to trial another company and see how they compared. Big waste of time.
Leaking – Leaking nappies! Horrible experience with both nappies and the customer service. They charged me $25 for a standard delivery the second time, and the first time it was $12. They seemed dodgy then but I hoped that nappies would be good. But they weren’t. They leak every time and once even come off completely. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Waste of money! And they are not cheap. Baby Shower Gift ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – I was looking for something a little different for a Baby Shower gift for twins, due in December. When I saw Ecoriginals I knew straight away this was the BEST GIFT as all bub's need nappies and wipes. I ordered the Newborn Jumbo Pack directly from Ecoriginals at 10.30pm on Friday 11/08/2023 and they arrived on Monday 14/08/2023 in the morning.… Read more · 1
BRILLIANT SERVICE ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. I was worrying they may not arrive before the baby shower on the 25th, but there was absolutely no need to worry. I refused to use regular wipes on my son back in 1995 as I don't like chemicals on babies. When I saw these I thought, WOW finally something more Bum Friendly. Being a combined baby shower with her friend who is due around the same time, I bought her a NEWBORN STARTER PACK (trial pack) as I would feel a bit awkward turning up with only a gift for one. I opened one of the nappies to and did my own testing to see if they stand up to the advertising tests. OMG YES THEY DO. They 100% PASSED THE TEST. No false advertising or exaggerated advertising with this product. 100% legit and I am so happy to be able to get them started with the Bundle which was on sale at 40% off at total $189. Thank you for creating a BRILLIANT PRODUCT which is which is not only great for babies, but is also ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best nappies we've used – We've tried countless nappies for our 2 boys and Ecoriginals are by far the softest and most high-quality ones that we've used. You can literally feel the difference when you hold the nappy, they don't feel like the cheap thin plastic that so many of the other brands do. My second especially has sensitive skin and is prone to rashes, but he… Read more · 1
doesn't get any rashes or irritation with Ecoriginals. I love that they're delivered as well, otherwise we would always run out of nappies and who has the time! The ultimate eco bundle is my go to baby shower gift and all of our friends love the difference of the plant-based nappies and wipes too.
Does not post negative reviews on their website – Firstly, they do not post any negative reviews on their website (deceiving people to read/believe only good reviews about their product) - it’s been 3 weeks since they responded to my review but never posted it! More cons about this product includes: - size 0 is definitely not for babies under 3kg, it just leaks everywhere! I ended up buying… Read more
premmie nappies without issues (they chalked this up to lack of plastics and chemicals to hold back extra liquids) - no blue line indicator on the front nor back (because they couldn’t find a safe ingredient to do so, per their response) - tends to leak because there is no protection/cotton/absorbers on the sides nor edges of front/back, especially when peepee is not facing straight down - double the price compared to huggies 160’s (because they “offer a premium product made with mostly plant based ingredients that cost so much more than a conventional plastic nappy”) - expensive delivery (even within Victoria only)
Pros: - biodegradable (so they say) - provides discount via promo code (sometimes)
No matter how snug/tight they are, they still leak at times. Baby already has nappy marks on his thighs (using up what’s left)

Title: A Sustainable and Earth-Friendly Choice – I recently had the opportunity to gift some products from Ecoriginals to soon-to-be parents, and I must say, I'm impressed with the commitment to sustainability and quality. The products not only align with eco-conscious values but also deliver on their promises. Plant-based Nappies: The natural breathable fibers used in the nappies make them a… Read more · 1
standout choice. It's reassuring to know that they are certified globally, giving peace of mind to environmentally conscious parents. The absence of any harmful ingredients is a plus, ensuring a gentle and safe experience for the baby.
Bamboo Fiber Wipes: The wipes made from sustainably sourced bamboo fiber and five all-natural ingredients are a game-changer. They are not only effective but also fully biodegradable and compostable. The thoughtfulness behind the composition of these wipes is evident, and it's a step towards reducing our environmental footprint.
Biodegradable Packaging: The biodegradable corn starch nappy packaging is a highlight. It's wonderful to see a brand actively working towards minimizing its impact on the environment. The disappearance of the packaging faster than ever is a small yet significant step in the right direction.
In conclusion, Ecoriginals' dedication to creating eco-friendly products shines through in every aspect. These items are not only a thoughtful gift for expecting parents but also a contribution to a healthier planet. Highly recommended for those looking to make sustainable choices without compromising on quality.
Best for baby's skin & the environment! – My husband and I both have sensitive skin, so without “testing” the waters, we assumed our new baby would too, so didn’t want to risk trying any of the plastic nappies on the supermarket shelves. After a lot of research, we found Ecoriginals. We ordered a trial pack to start with and were not disappointed. The nappies are so soft against the… Read more · 1
skin, with no fake fragrance or chemical smell. The trial pack came with a pack of wipes also, and they were amazing and worked so well even when bub was really “grotty” and again no overpowering fragrance.
So happy with Ecoriginals – it’s a thumbs up from me!
Baby boom – I am not the end user, Ecos purchased as gifts , but I’m sure they will be fit for the ‘perfect purpose’ for which they were designed . Is there maybe room for a ‘purchased as a gift’ tag when buying on line ? Show reply

Leakage – Pretty disappointed wih these nappies especially considering the cost of them. I purchased a few packets before baby was born. Even though these are newborn nappies I could not use them on my newborn as they constantly leaked. leaked at times! I never had any issues with the Aldi nappies but sadly with these ones I've had to change the sheets in the bassinet many times. Really glad I didn't subscribe.
Love the nappies. Not great customer service – We’ve been using the nappies for our first for 2 years. Loved them. Exxy, but we valued the eco side of things, and they didn’t give him nappy rash. We’ve recently had a second, so thought we’d use them for him too. We ordered a set of 0s and 1s. 2s arrived. Bit annoying, as we had to go and get some other brand nappies that actually fit to… Read more
bridge the gap. All good though, we contacted them about the error, they said they’d sent our 0s. Except it took more than 2 and a half weeks for them to be delivered. When we told them that this meant that they were now too small, so we didn’t need that size anymore, they blamed Australia Post, and kept avoiding our request for a refund or the ability to send them back and swap for a size we could actually use.
So now we’ve got some newborn nappies we no longer need, and to be honest I’m a bit peeved that after so many years and $, they’ve been so unhelpful. Looking at other brands.

Been waiting for ages for my order to be delivered – I've emailed, Instagram messaged and prayed. Still no delivery and no communication. Terrible customer service & a nightmare to deal with. Painful. Find alternative – The worst customer service ever. Your order goes missing for weeks with no communication from the company. No phone number to call, terrible responses to emails. I had to hustle with them to get them to post my order. First they said it wasn't it stock, then moments later they said they just sent it. Painful is an understatement.

Terrible – Worst nappies we have tried. Nappies wouldn’t stick, didn’t hold waste and our newborn hated them. Sometimes it’s best to use the non eco product, stick to those that do it well (Huggies, Babylove). Show details

One of the better Eco Friendly nappy brands – Some of the better quality "eco-friendly" nappies from my experience... I have used a couple of other brands and experienced leaking with both after a short wear. Also, I'm a fan of the ecoriginals wipes and wipes boxes. However, I do think think they're costly, particularly the shipping costs, and it would also be handy if they'd had a wet/dry… Read more
indicator line on the outside of nappy, for those reasons I will only give 3 stars out 5. I paid $132.83 (this price had a 1st time order $50 discount) for my initial order of: - ULTIMATE ECO BUNDLE 6 packs nappies + 6 packs wipes × 1 - 3 Packs of Wipes × 1

Criminally high shipping charges – After many review comparing the best genuine eco disposable nappy market, this brand scores well. However, I cannot move past the audacity of charging 25 dollars for shipping?!? Nearly the price of a whole pack of nappies. I think it’s a sneaky way to reduce the appearance of cost per nappy. I would much rather transparency in pricing and a reasonable shipping charge. I ended up going to Comfy Koala brand and have no regrets. Show details
Leaked first time – I was really excited to try these nappies mainly for the fact they are 90% biodegradable however I am sadly really disappointed! I’m surprised to see so many good reviews as my opinion is quite the opposite. They are very papery and not soft at all despite what some reviews say. so they are hard to fit nicely and never quite feel like they are in place properly. From the first nappy change every single nappy has leaked, around the legs, up the front or back and sometimes everywhere. Unfortunately I won’t be buying again, and am really glad I didn’t sign up for the subscription. On the plus side postage was incredibly fast and I love the plastic free packaging. I really wanted to love these nappies but won’t be buying them again.

Worst nappies ever – The nappies leaked, disintegrated on our newborn, all the insides of the nappy were coming out after 4-5 hours of overnight wear. They’re not a nice fit, not very soft either. Constant leakage causing painful constant wardrobe changes – These were gifted to me as another mother was not a fan of using them. I understand now why. Unfortunately these appear to be poorly designed and unsure whether this is due to a poor water proofing on the outer of the nappy resulting in my baby nappies leaking and almost 2 wardrobe changes a night. Is this due to the ‘eco design’? Possibly.… Read more
Unfortunately I won’t be buying these until this brand is able to design a nappy that prevents me from always having to make a complete wardrobe change for my little one as well.

Cold, slow cumstomer service and ridiculous shipping charges – I ordered a trial pack and one reusable nappy on Sunday. An hour later I've realised there were separate shipping costs applied to two items. I found out later that the website does mention that the trial pack has separate shipping costs applied. But in general it's ridiculous to pay $25 for shipping for a pack of nappies and one reusuable nappy.… Read more
I ordered similar trial packs and other items from other brands too and paid only $10 and I live in a major city. Watch out for their shipping costs when making orders. Discounts are not really discounts when you factor in the shipping costs. I read other reviews too and it seems impossible to correct your order or return products with this company so be mindful.
I emailed them on Sunday to edit/cancel in an hour. And I left a message on chat in their website on Monday morning, which says I will be contacted in a few minutes. I waited an hour and didn't get any response. I also called the CS centre and was told to leave message. A laday called me later saying "the order has been process there's nothing I can do." She can't care less. I argued that I sent an email immediately to cancel. She goes "I don't work on Sundays." The website says I need to notify in 48hrs to make changes to order. I did that within an hour. I chased next day first thing in the morning. I can see my errors here but the company doesn't operate based on their premises either. Not happy with the service. Cold and careless.
Poor fit and leaks – Bought the newborn which was suppose to fit 0-4kgs. My bubs was born at 2.6kg and the diapers were such a poor fit for him, it constantly leaked wee and poo. clothes overnight which annoys the bubs. These diapers just do not absorb as well as the other eco brands. We’ve tried Bambo, Panda Luvs and Comfy Koalas which all performed way better lasting at least 6-8 hours overnight and also slightly cheaper.
Now we’re stuck with 2 more packs which is better thrown into the bin than to be gifted away or used up.

Serious leakage – I bought a box of 6 packs (30x6) plus an extra 2 as the sell themselves as being eco. Unfortunately, they leak so much. I reached out to them and they offered to refund but the postage was half the price of what I paid for the nappies. I have had to change mattress protectors so many times and so many change of clothes during the day. These are not worth the trouble they cause. Show details

We were gifted some of these as a friends baby outgrew them - Best nappies we've tried so far – Since the arrival of our Newborn baby son around a month or so ago we have tried a few different types of nappies - the Huggees from hospital, some Tooshies and these. as a father with a 1 month old with about as much experience putting nappies on.
We were kindly given some of these nappies in a bagful of different types of newborn nappies by a friend who's baby has outgrown the newborn size. So I haven't bought them and experienced the ordering process. With that said the Ecoriginals are quite amazing compared to the other nappies we have used so far
Experience so far: - No leaks when using them so far. Other nappies we've had at least one or two leaks a day, though some of those times may have been user installation error rather than nappy design flaw.
- Easy to put on - For context our son generally kicks, wriggles, cries and carries on during a nappy change. This makes putting on a fresh nappy quite a challenge at times. We just thought that was how he is, however we both have noticed that he hardly kicks at all when putting on/changing the Ecoriginals. Whereas with both the huggees and Tooshies he kicks a lot. Not exactly sure what the difference is but an easier to change baby is a bonus, especially when that nappy being changed is filled with poo. No one likes changing a kicking baby with poo on its foot at 2AM as the job suddenly becomes 10 times more work to clean up.
- Philosophically, I like that they biodegrade, even if they do end up in the conventional garbage bin instead of the compost.
- Feel of quality materials and well built.
Cons: - Have to subscribe and order them online - can't just whip down to the shop to grab a pack of ecoriginals as needed. - No 'Wet Nappy' indicator like the huggees.
Anyway I'm, very happy with them and recommend you try them out on your baby.
Love the products, we use the nappies when we go out and the wipes everyday – Wasn't too happy that we couldn't subscribe to get the wipes every 12 weeks as they were sold out. But will try next time we need an order. But we love using them and we love the fact that our boy can have them on all day and not get nappy rash, and they are so absorbent. Show details · 1
Terrible design and customer support – Terrible design, at least two or three leakeges per day, My baby is already 4.5 kg but the company says I need to wait for my baby to grow more to fit in this size nappies but, the curiosity is that the size range for newborn plus size is 3.5 - 5 Kg. Newborn Fell off but bigger size a lot better – We bought a trial pack of the newborn nappies and we couldn't get them to stay on. the time to deal with that problem with a newborn. Ecoriginals were kind enough to replace the newborn nappies with the next size up for us to try free of charge because the newborn size hadn’t worked and these are much better. Haven’t had any issues with the few we have used so far. So happy because it’s good to know an environmentally friendly alternative for a nappy does work when needed.
Want to love it but leaks every so often – I got a newborn trial pack and it’s been hit and miss. I’ve had it leak up the back after only 2+ hours of wear. Haven’t had this issue with commercial nappy brands or another eco nappy brand. My 3 week old is now 4.03kg and the newborn size still feels a bit big. It’s also challenging to gauge whether you have it on too loose or too tight. Show details

Horrible service. They lie about money back guarantee – I wish I could give 0 star! Horrible customer service. I've never come across such a generous brand! – Everytime we have ordered from EcoOriginals - we have been gifted their amazing non-toxic wipes for FREE!
