Unhelpful customer service and faulty products
ECOVACSHOME customer service were very unhelpful.
The mop attachment they provided on my product is a faulty item.
It no longer functions.
But they refuse to replace the attachment even though it is broken through poor design and not even in use for 12 months.

Most needed equipment in the house .
We have tile and carpet flooring.this vacuum worked well on both flooring. This was our first Ecovac.I was really amazed with her work. She was my helper at home.Only problems I noticed was it was not going to the charging docking after a year of use.We had an extra warranty and so when we got a new model without any expense.

A much needed gadget for a clean home.
A much need vacuum and mopping gadget which saves me a lot of time. Superb mapping and auction power. Very good for hard floors. The battery life is impressive. The mopping is really good. The only down side is you can’t use it on soft carpets. Overall very happy with the product.
Great Vacuum once you can figure out how to program it
Great vacuum that cleans well but limited access to quality instructions to set up. After numerous attempts to map and zone the house, we have settled to just set perimeters each time we clean. We still can’t figure out how to set boundaries- the robot goes into the area regardless.

Happy! 1 year and mostly no problems! with two German Shepard's, lots of hair! its been a saviour for someone with OCD
Bought it with hesitation. Owned a Samsung prior, resold it, as it kept getting caught under furniture.
- Yes there are teething problems, does lose maps, goes around in circles occasionally, gets caught on mats, it loses wifi connection. This would be around 10 % of the time though. Doesn't take long to sort.
- I am mostly happy, I set it for 3 am in the morning on low suction and high is quite loud. The amount of hair it picks up is amazing, and the mopping keeps the tiled floor looking great. I dont use it on carpets and set boundar...

Love my Deebot
I've had my Deebot for a couple of years now and it's a wonderful product. It does a very good job of keeping clean floors clean. It needs a couple of runs to get on top of extra dirty floors but it picks up dirt that my dyson leaves behind. On the downside, it has a frustrating tendency to lose its map which is a hassle because I must then clear spaces so that it can re-map my house without getting tangled up in 'no-go' areas. That mapping malfunction also means that it can't always find the charger - it will be looking for the charger a...nd head off in the wrong direction, even when it's right in front of the charger! Come on Deebot - it's RIGHT THERE!!!! But, I would totally get this brand again and would recommend this model to friends and family.

OK for the first 11 mths, extremely slow warranty repair
Our Ecovacs Deebot 950 was OK for the first 11 mths. We did have mapping issues, however these did resolve themselves slightly. We have a large home, and found it would get lost or stuck often.
At 11 mths old with weekly use (on a smaller area) the mapping function failed. It was sent back for repairs. Repairs were extremely slow, only when contacting Amazon for resolution did we get out 'repaired' robot returned.
On return it did work, however the mapping abilities were never what they were. Now 4 mths after the repair it has forgotten where it is, and is unable to re-create it's map.
I wouldn't recommend this brand at all.

Waste of money and time
I’ve tried to use at the office and at home. Doesn’t work at either place with completely different floor coverings. Spent more time setting up than it takes to vacuum. Constantly gets lost, can’t find the charging dock, maps are useless as it forgets them after an hour. Do not buy! Customer service worse than the faulty product.

Does an amazing job even with sketchy mapping.
I have had my Deebot for only a few days but already we have had it clean a lot. The vacuum performance is amazing, I have a Dyson and this robot still fills the container by the time it has finished.
The mapping is a challenge. I had to try about 5 or 6 times before I got a proper map, different things stopped it being successful. Once it got blocked and I picked it up, when i placed it back down it continued mapping but it was on an angle inside the existing map. I have had to redo the map several times.
The cameras also see out our large g...lass doors, the outside area also appears on the map, it doesn't try to go there to clean, but it just makes the map look unfinished. The robot does get more efficient (apparently) after correct mapping, but yesterday I did a 132m² floor area in 124 mins and it just finished everything before needing to recharge. I have a lot of carpet and have it set to auto adjust the power, so it chewed the battery up quicker. As some others have said, the logic is a bit flawed. After starting it did half of a room, did half of the room beside it, then went to a different room in another part of the house, back to the second room, back to the other end of the house etc etc. If it was being more efficient, it would not go back and forth to opposite ends of the house, unnecessarily using up the battery. However, the Deebot knows what it has done, so despite it's ill logic, it does go everywhere it is meant to...assuming the battery lasts. If it has to go charge, it will continue where it left off. Mopping is also good, although it won't scrub off stubborn marks, I still used my steam mop. Great for maintenance of the tiles though.

Bit disappointed. It needs supervision
I did a lot of research before I bought this and hands down, it was the best value for price.
I did love it initially but my Deebot does act up. The mapping system is shocking, it doesn't like any changes in the environment. If you have large windows good luck! It causes ghosting on the map and you have to re map the whole house.
It's constantly getting stuck or banging into furniture, I thought it was meant to avoid doing that? Isn't that what I paid big money for?
Another interesting thing, after two months I got an alarm saying replace th...e main brush and the side brushes. So ECOVACS you expect me to pay for that constantly? I think that's pretty poor form from the company. My advice to the company is if there is an issue with the mapping allow customers to conduct a border only mapping first instead of them having to go through the whole remapping process. It's painful!

Nighmare to use after a year
Flooring type : wooden and carpet
I bought 950 ozmo in may 2020. It worked fine for less than an year. Initially when i started using, it worked fine even on 2 floors. There were occasions where map would suddenly disappear but it was less frequent. But since last 2/3 months, I am not able to save map at all. It takes few hours to trying to clean and create map and then bot says that Its unable to locate charging station. So, i have to start the whole process again. I have asked evovacs support for help. Lets see how it goes.
My rating is on my basis of frustration as of today.
On other note: ecovacs 950 also has a mop but I hardly use it as it leaves puddles of water on floor. I submitted mop review last year.

Appalling Customer Service
Loved my machine only to find it failed after 3 months. No replacement only repair available. Told repair would be 5-15 working days. It’s been 30 working days. Parts still out of stock. Disappointed & disgusted.

We’ve had Ozmo for a few weeks now, bought as an online special from JB Hifi, for $599. We have a single storey house, with a mix of flooring - carpet in bedrooms, bamboo in lounge and office and tiled elsewhere, and some sea grass or coir mats.
On the first cleaning run, Ozmo mapped the house, cleaning as it went, and picked up an amazing amount of dust, dirt, lint. We now run it every other day and it still seems to find stuff…since we consider ourselves clean and tidy types we’ll blame the cat!
Good points: just about everything. It was go...od value for money, it picks up a lot of dust, dirt, lint, hair and what have you…and it’s quieter than other vacuums. Improvements: 1. The mapping runs seem illogical. It would map part of one room then go to the other end of the house, map that area and then return to complete the half-done area. 2. In mopping mode Ozmo will not go onto carpeted areas, so it cannot get to our ensuite as the only way in is via the carpeted bedroom. 3. I watched it spend 10 full minutes circling a coffee table leg. No idea why. 4. Sometimes it cannot find the docking station even though the station hasn’t moved 5. To use area cleaning, Ozmo divides the house into its own areas, which you can label, but which might not be logical. I think it would be best to let the owner draw the boundaries for each room/area once the original mapping is done

Excellent performance and battery life compared to the high end $1000 models!
If you were considering the high end vacuums then save your money and read below!
I have been eyeing a Robo vacuum for months and initially, I was only considering the Roborock ones as a few friends have them and highly rate them. I also knew that the Roborock S7 was going to be released soon and having a handheld Dyson V10 that costed around $1000 back when it was new, I didn't hesitate that I was going to spend another $1000 on a Roborock however I wanted to ensure that my money goes towards something that is bang for buck.
When this model ...was on sale $599 vs $1000 at other retailers, I knew this was something I needed to look into and boy am I glad I did. For the price difference, I could definitely be happier spending at least $400 or more on other things. Now in terms of my house, I am in a two-storey home and am yet to try it on the second floor (carpet with 2 tiled bathrooms) but we have this downstairs and have an open plan home. One quarter of the downstairs area is carpeted and the rest is tile including the laundry/bathroom. Items in the box: You get 4 brushes in total. The Vac itself uses 2 which means you have a full spare set to replace if needed.

Vacuum is Adequate, mopping is average - but mapping fails every time, and the customer support team do not respond.
The vacuum power on this is fine, and love this idea that we can send it out at anytime, however I don’t think I’ve managed one entire vacuum with it getting ‘lost’, stuck, trying to return to the dock by trying to get through a wall.
And then once it gets stuck somewhere, seems to completely lost track of what has been vacuumed so goes over the same area again and again and again.
Additionally, the mopping function rarely works.
If the mapping and losing track of what had been vacuumed wasn’t an issue - then I’d be recommending this wholeheartedly.
But currently debating whether we keep or not.

Questions & Answers
Can I use hot boiling water for mopping?
Thank you for sending through your question.
We suggest using lukewarm water when pouring into your DEEBOT....
what is the size of the battery in inchs?
Thanks for the question! If you mean the size of the charging dock I can tell you it is 17cm wide. ...If you're after the specific size of the internal battery then please let us know :) Best Wishes, ECOVACS team
does the it mop well. i had the Ozmo 900 and had to return as it didn't mop at all
We have wooden floors and it does do a good job. It has adjustable settings for the mop and we have it on the lower setting. It is a robot and is a cloth dragging around a floor so good for in between...cleans. I don’t think any robot would get off caked in dirt. The water container is not able to take chemical but we sprinkle a bit of floor cleaner around and it helps and makes the place smell amazing and I think this helps with cleaning too. We are very happy with it!
Thanks for your question! ECOVACS OZMO mopping technology provides powerful mopping performance. The OZMO 950 vacuums and mops simultaneously and is fitted with an enlarged water reservoir to ensure the whole house is taken care of. ...Don't just take our word for it though; here's what a fellow product reviewer has to say on the OZMO 950: https://www.productreview.com.au/reviews/984297f8-0c27-4a3d-99bd-91ef2f1a9589
