Consistent issues with the unit, to have the vacuuming in the station fail and now the water in the station won't get into the vacuum itself. Weve had it for just over 2 years and it has been a terrible purchase. The unit will often go around in circles, get lost or drop out of wifi all together. The mopping function when it was working was average but suitable. Unit had previously been repaired and still had issues after that Show details
Pretty average for paying a lot of money ($ 2k) for a vacuum and mopping machine. Often gets lost, changes maps, goes back to areas where it gets caught up in cords instead of avoiding it. Messy to clean esp the mop function. Spills dirty smelly water all over the basin of the home station. I wish I hadn't purchased this and tried another brand which someone recommended as a better product. Show details

Don't buy not worth the premium – This vacuum striped its gears after 10 months of use, sent it back under warranty. Took 6 weeks to repair. Lasted just another year and stripped gears again. Officeworks won't cover as our of warranty and evovacs, well waiting to hear from them about Australian Consumer warranty. Spending $2000 for a vacuum you would expect it to last more than 1 year. Awesome vacuum/mop – Amazing robot vacuum/ mop The app is very easy to use. There are multiple functions if you want a deeper clean or more/ less water when mopping. Vacuum automatically detects carpet; using a deeper suction but also avoids carpet when mopping Some downfalls are; voice command function isn’t the greatest. Easier to just use the app Having to purchase vacuum bags. Can be abit loud when emptying dust bin/ refilling mop water Show details
Fantastic robot vaccum and mop – Good quality robot vaccum and mop. Does a great job cleaning on; tiles, wood and carpet floors. We have a hairy dog and this vaccum picks up all the dog hair :) App is easy to use to set up scehdules. When mopping it cleans and empties by itself using the clean and dirty water containers. Innovative Floor Cleaning Fun – These days many of us expect fast and tech savvy devices to help clean and organise our busy lives. If you are time poor and detest the weekly (or sometimes daily) tasks of vacuuming and mopping, then the ECOVACS DEEBOT X1 OMNI may be the cleaning companion for you. The DEEBOT is more than just a robot. This amazing cleaning machine uses AIVI –… Read more · 1
Artificial Intelligence & Visual Interpretation, which identifies and avoids multiple obstacles as it cleans. Thus, giving you peace of mind that your beloved furry friend or expensive furniture does not get hurt, or damaged whilst the bot is operating.
This clever robotic vacuum and mopping cleaner uses the ‘YIKO’ intelligent voice assistant, developed by ECOVACS. To wake up the bot you say ‘OK YIKO’ and it will respond with ‘I’m here’ (then awaits further instruction) or alternatively you can control the bot with the ECOVACS application that you install on your phone (found in Google Play Store). You can set scheduled cleaning on the app. You can also stop, start or pause with many other functions and commands via the app.
The Deebot uses a ‘True Mapping Feature’ to map out your home. Learning where it can and cannot go, also differentiating between carpet or tiles etc. The clarity of the HD camera is excellent and the video streaming can be a great spy if you want to monitor your furry friends which also doubles as a security cam. The bot is surprisingly quiet whilst cleaning and has 5000pa of suction power. The dust compartment in the bot will empty automatically. The dustbin bag (a hidden draw under the water tanks) can be used for up to 60 days before replacement. There are two four litre tanks, one for clean water and one for dirty. The bot (once back) at the station empties the dirty water and refills with clean. It uses a ‘hot air dry’ process to wash and sanitise the mopping pads which helps prevent the growth of bacteria. ***I mop every 3 days. I have included a pic of the dirty mop water in the tank....wow!***
The bots station is heavy at around 16 kgs, which is something to consider if you have a 2 storey home. At $2,499 it is an expensive vacuum/mopping unit that can make your life easier but your wallet a little lighter. I wound up with a leg injury last year which has made cleaning a bit difficult, but with the OMNI X1 I couldn't ask for a better helper.

My Little Helper – My Ecovax Deebot is my new best friend. Who would not like a machine that takes over a boring household job like cleaning floors? Setting the machine up took a little time but once up and running it is a painless process. It does help to read all the directions before you begin. There is a great app to download, which allows you to control and… Read more · 1
monitor the robot’s progress. The docking station requires space for the robot to move in and out, so you need to have a convenient position to house it. It is also really designed for a single level house. The unit is quite heavy, so it is impractical to carry up to every level, and we have three. Downstairs is our largest area which includes lounge, dining, kitchen, and alcove into the laundry. This area is quite large and needs constant attention as it gets the greatest use. We have polished wooden floors and a large carpet square. Wooden floors need a little care, but this machine does an excellent job and I have had no problems. To begin, it maps the whole area, including around furniture, so you do not have to move these when vacuuming or washing. It remembers all. The only furniture we had to move were the kitchen stools which have a chrome base. Directions tell you it does not like anything reflective, and this was proved correct. We did reposition the docking station and it knew it was in a new position when started again. It can be voice activated or operated by the app on an iPad or phone. I prefer the iPad as it has a larger screen. Great how you can monitor its progress or click on the video function to see what is going on. I was able to go about my other jobs without having to worry about my “new best friend.” We started the robot one night while watching TV and just put our feet up to give it a free run and it did its job perfectly. The noise from the machine is not distracting. You could say initially it was a source of entertainment. I think we might have been too long in covid lockup last year, that we can be entertained by just about anything. I was a bit hesitant about running it while we were out, but I have to say I was most impressed when we got home, and my little friend had done an excellent job and was tucked up in the docking station. Of course, I could have monitored it while we were out, but it was not convenient to do so. As I said earlier, it can be operated by voice, and it will also tell you if it must return to the station to empty the dust bag or clean the washing brushes because they are dirty. It pays to listen carefully, or you will miss what it says. Not that it really matters as it does it anyway. If you want to interrupt the program for any reason, there is a function to select to make it return to the docking station. This can also be done remotely if you are not in the area. To wash the floors, applying pads and ensuring the water supply is adequate, is a straightforward process. I have tried plain water and a small amount of floor cleaner with water in the container. (It has two tanks, one clean and one dirty). Both methods did an excellent job, although I prefer the later. The machine also tells you when a quick dust of the robot is required to ensure its sensor is working properly. For vacuuming, I leave the carpet in place, and it is vacuumed with the rest of the floor. For washing, I just roll the edges of the carpet up so that the floor can be cleaned underneath. Works well for me. Extremely impressed with the results in my kitchen area. There is the ability to select a particular zone to clean, rather than the whole area and the one section I would normally clean daily is the kitchen. When buying appliances, I always look at the price of replacement parts. For this machine, electricity usage, replacement dust bags and washing pads costs must be considered. My Initial thoughts are that they will work out a little more expensive but saving time and my energy will no doubt justify the extra cost. We will see. All I need now is for another little” friend “to take over more of my household chores and I will be an incredibly happy person.
Now I always have clean floors! – After buying a cheapie Robovac from an online marketplace - then having it break within 12 months, I was really feeling that I wanted something more durable and reliable - I researched Ecovac a little and popped into the local team to decide on a new model. I spent a little more than I anticipated though I knew the value for money and warranty… Read more
would be a great support.
I love this little dream machine! This one can tackle just about anything- and it does sometimes haha.
I often use the X1 on my lino floor, tiles, and carpet and I'm pleasantly surprised that I can adjust the suction and speed to suit the conditions which really does mean that the cleaning is deep and thorough, which means that anyone in the family can truly use it- all they do is press the button and accept the praise for doing the cleaning :)
The app is very clever and reminds you when you need to swap a brush or empty the dustbin liner which is great for a forgetful person like myself, who appreciates the prompted reminders,
The camera feature I think would be a little gimmicky in my opinion, as you can see in real-time where the vacuum is covering so you don't really need to check up on the camera too often.
I have deduced one star- As I feel the mapping feature is a letdown of the app. During the time that I have owned it, I have had to completely reset the mapping so that I can use the app. Once its in cleaning mode, its great, though there have been a few times it has randomly divided the room in half and not cleaned one side, or maps have just dropped offline.
Over time, I have definitely seen a difference in my floors being more brighter and less dusty. Of course, I know at the end of the day, I still struggle to clean the corners of the room due to the circle shape, but this is a very minor problem and only takes a few moments to sort out with your old-fashioned broom.
I would recommend this to anyone who is unsure about what a Robovac can do, because choosing one that is clever like this can really help your life seem just that bit easier.

DEEBOT X1 OMNI - Clean floors every day – OVERVIEW – DEEBOT X1 OMNI The Deebot X1 OMNI is a robotic vacuum cleaner and mop, with a base station, that has auto dust bin emptying, clean and dirty water tanks. The Deebot station comes with cleaning tools that fit neatly in the centre of the base station between the two water bins. The Deebot’s name is ‘Yiko’ and you can talk to it and give… Read more
it instructions. The Deebot now talks more than it did when I first purchased it, and it now advises you of every move (Yiko starting vacuum, Yiko is off the floor please return to the floor etc). The Deebot X1 OMNI has not skipped a beat since purchasing.
WHY DEEBOT X1 OMNI I purchased the Deebot X1 OMNI approximately 6 - 7 months ago, after being without a robotic vacuum for a few months. My past experience of robotic vacuums included: - 2x Kogan branded machines. - Roomba
I found the Kogan machines lasted about 3 years, with the main issue being a lack of spare parts once the machine was no longer sold. The Roomba’s were a good brand, however very pricy considering they still used physical sensors to make a ‘no go zones’, oppose to other brands that had virtual walls on the app.
I am a busy single mum of two teenage children. I work full time and between work and after school activities I don’t find time to vacuum the house as frequently as I would like. I have found the Deebot X1 OMNI has not skipped a beat since purchasing and it has become one of my most valued appliances in the home.
SETUP & EVACS APP The setup process went smoothly, I downloaded the EVACS APP and connected to the Deebot via home wifi. After charging the Deebot mapped my house and created a map. Once the map was created, I was able to customise, by adding room names and confirming flooring type. The APP is intuitive and easy to navigate. A great feature is the ‘Assessory and Parts’, it monitors the usage of the assessories and provides you with a reminder to clean the Deebot and base station and to replace the assessories such as side brush, main brush, filter, mopping pads etc. You can set up notifications and view the cleaning log.
SCHEDULING I schedule the Deebot to vacuum ½ the house every weekday and Sunday, including kitchen, lounge, dining room, pantry and hallway, and a whole house vacuum every Saturday. The scheduling in the APP enables me to select the room order to vacuum, the suction and cleaning frequency by room. If you are a busy person like myself, with a little OCD, the schedule is a life saver. Getting home after a busy day at work and the floor is clean is a great feeling.
ISSUES TO DATE From time to time the Deebot loses wifi connections and it requires both, the vacuum and base station to be powered off and on again. It’s not an issue, just something to remember if your Deebot is going round in circles or bumping into things.
OVERALL I lived without a robotic vacuum for a couple of months prior to purchasing the Deebot x1 OMNI and I didn’t realise how much I relied on the cleaner. I recearched all of the robotic cleaners on the market at the time, comparing features, cost, assessories etc. Given my experience with Kogan robotic vacuums I was after a company that would support their products into the future. EVACS assessories are often interchangeable between their models, which is smart, this means I will be able to purchase spare parts for my Deebot for years to come because the parts are available for multiple vaccums. I purchased the Deebot x1 OMNI during the Mother's Day sale and I have never regretted the purchase. For me the Deebot gives me back a little time and reduces my stress by leaving my house clean everytime. If you are weighing up, should I spend the money or not, just put a price on your time, stress levels and balance that against the purchase price of the Deebot. I can guarantee you won't be disappointed.
Couldn't live without – Suction on vacuum is fantastic and picks up so much dirt that you didn't even know was there. The mopping function works well and gets marks off on our vinyl timber plank flooring and tiled areas. Battery life also really good vacuums or mops for around 90 mins before needing to be charged. Does occasionally go off line for no reason. Show details
Great machine. Almost perfect – I've had this machine for nearly 8 months and overall very happy with it. It gets into every nook and cranny and the map is very accurate. The floors are always clean and I find if I run it 3 times a week it maintains the floors great. I run it in the kitchen every day as the floor gets messiest there. Only niggles is it doesn't completely empty… Read more
the dustbin when auto emptying. There is always a bit of gunk left in there and the self cleaning mopping sometimes says there is water in the bottom sink and to empty. They are not completely hands off and you do need to clean the station of gunk that builds up. But compared to mopping and vacuuming all the time myself the 10 minutes of maintenance once a week is a life changer. Recommend.

Doesn't do what is promised – Continual wifi drop outs, terrible mapping includingmap management and poor build quality. The quick mapping is the worst, it keeps going over areas it has already been and this lengthens the process. Show details

PRETTY MUCH A SCAM! DOES NOT WORK, DOES NOT CLEAN, DISRESPECFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE (ECOVACS) – PRETTY MUCH A SCAM! I purchased 2 Omni X1 and since day 1 have had issues with that, I have been contacting customer service, the good guys and all other venues to fix the issue and NO ONE HELPS. I have over 4K in a robot vacuum cleaner that does not do what needs to be done. This is disgraceful. I will be lodging cases against The good guys and ECOVACS with fair trading and ACCC. Broken Down Often – Purchased this unit from Good Guys Hopper Crossing and been having so many problems. It just stops working every few weeks and eventually doesn't work at all. Have taken it for repair 3 times already. Have reported it to Good Guys and Ecovac, still waiting to hear back.
Avoid Ecovacs X1 Omni at all costs – If possible I would give this product a zero. I bought an X1 in October 2022. By May 2023 it had developed its first fault. It was returned to Godfrey’s for repair. After 6 weeks Godfrey's replaced the item with a new one as the repair had taken too long. The second X1 lasted 10 months before having to be sent for repair this time to Ecovacs… Read more
directly as Godfrey’s had gone bust. The repaired X1 was returned and lasted 2 months before again needing repair. After 3 months the stupid thing broke again. All in all my dealings with Ecovacs have been frustratingly slow and unhelpful. I would not trust any refurbished Ecovacs machine to work for long given the inability to effectively repair my machine. For the initial outlay of around $2,200 this product is wholly unsatisfactory. I will never buy another Ecovacs product. Ecovacs is refusing to issue a refund and considers a refurbished machine is a reasonable solution. I bought one of these machines to make life simpler not more difficult. On that score it has been a big FAIL.
Respect Yourself Enough to NOT BUY – Respect yourself enough to NOT buy this piece of junk. Nothing but issues. Gets lost, doesn't recognise areas, voice command didn't work (at all), camera didn't work. Kept turning around and going back to base for no reason, not cleaning all areas despite 5 mapping sessions and map was correct, drags wet mop over carpet and mats. Just CONTSTANT… Read more
issues and the response from Ecovac was rubbish! Took two weeks of them forcing me to record myself and the device not working, plus photos and rediculous amounts of evidence (as if I went to the effort of purchasing this to then lie and say it didn't work so I could then send it back!!?) Eventually all they did when I insisted on a refund was contact Amazon (but they didn't so I had to do it myself) to then have to post it back and wait weeks for a refund. CRAP. Don't buy.
Great when it works – We are onto our second deebot and this one is going back too! It continues to get lost in the house. The bumper keeps getting stuck. The mapping doesnt map the house properly. Mopping isn’t that great, it’s water on a mopping pad, can’t use dissinfectant. We have vinyl planks throughout the entire home, except bathrooms which are tiles. As the… Read more
house is large, I have to set it to go 3 times a day as the battery is not sufficient to do the whole home. We have had to reset it approx 6 times since we had this one Have to remap it each time as ‘it cant find the designated floor’ Now the base unit loses power and the robot doesn’t charge…
Considering what we pay for these items, you would expect it to last longer than it does. Not confident on having another ecovacs so looking into different options.
Started well, now almost a lemon – Bought this thinking it would be the latest and greatest!. Firstly if you want to buy a robotic vaccuum thinking you will never have to manually clean your floors again, forget it. Whilst these are great, I would consider this one to be a cleaner you could use 'in between' a regular manual clean. No robot can replace a human's clean!. This… Read more
cleaner was great to start with, worked quite well. Only downside we found from the beginning was the very limited mopping it done, the mop only does very superficial cleaning, if there is a deep stain or one thats sat there a bit long, this wont do anything but brush over the top of it. We found the vacuum only mode worked quite well and we had good results usually. A few months in and the glitches started, this would usually result in the robot forgetting the map, doing circles and returning to the station. I have had to remap the whole house quite a few times now to resolve these glitches. We had a problem with the water return to the tanks, after contacting Ecovac I eventually returned the product to be looked at and it was returned, seemingly with a new base unit, although it was impossible to tell as there was no report, email or anything from Ecovac that would tell you what the problem was or what they did about it, I found this quite poor. Now approaching the end of our warranty I have noticed in the past few months the battery life has certainly decreased to the point of only operating now for 20-30 minutes before returning to charge, it has also had numerous occasions of simply shutting down completely mid cleaning and needing to be returned to the base where it turns it self on again, the battery still shows 30%, so there is clearly another issue here. Contacting support this time and I just get a run around and various emails wanting me to try a range of things, seems they want to avoid looking at this issue now. These cleaners are like a family member living in your house, you know them very well so when something isnt right, you can tell, although the responses from Support almost treat you like a stupid idiot who doesnt know how it works. All in all I wouldn't buy this again, I can see a raft of complaints about the Omni version 2 upgrade aswell so I think I'll just steer clear of this brand.
My cleaning assistance – I feel the suction power of the vacuum cleaner is good , it cleans the place . The mopping is good however it doesnt deep clean and not able to clean food stains on the floor. What I have issue with is it’s ability in moving/working on different surfaces. Mine cant clean the rug , it goes around it and only clean and mop around the rug which I find annoying . Its a pricey item so you expect to be better. Show details
Doesn't do what it's advertised to do – In principle, this is a great device, however... Whilst it is advertised to be able to mop and vacuum, it seems that cannot do both. until they advised that the unit cannot traverse carpet with the mops on.
I bought the device to allow for overnight vacuuming of all floors and mopping the hard surfaces.
Ecovac's advice was to manually add the mops after the vacuuming had finished. When I reminded the company that this was an overnight clean, they suggested that I don't clean everyday.
The customer service has been beyond poor for what should have been a great product but has failed miserably. Sadly, it isn't really fit for purpose now and was a very expensive waste of money.
I have reached out to request a refund, but one has been denied as it is now past 90 days, albeit I flagged this issue immediately. The online email support team do not read the emails, often repeat the same questions and do everything to avoid actively supporting the customer.
If you are looking to buy, do note that there are other companies selling great quality robotic vacuums and mops...
Have spent a frustrating 12 months dealing with ongoing issues with this vacuum – Have sent the X1 Omni back 5 times now, and not really getting my hopes up that the problems will be fixed. than it used to and nothing is clogged or causing the problem, and lately it has smelled like a burning electrical smell. Ecovacs has been terrible and keeps asking for videos to be sent showing the problem, then I have to send it back so I'm pretty much without a vacuum for a month before they send it back again........so paying someone $150 per week to do what the X1 Omni used to do...not good. It keeps coming back with the same problems and doesnt even look like anyone has tried to deal with it.

Disappointing Experience with Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni – I have been a loyal Ecovacs customer for many years and have had the opportunity to review several of their robotic vacuum cleaners during my two-decade career as an expert reviewer. However, my experience with the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni over the past year has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. At first, the Deebot X1 Omni showed great… Read more
promise, delivering 2-3 months of exceptional cleaning performance. During this initial period, it efficiently navigated my home, picking up dirt and debris with ease. I was impressed by its advanced features and convenience, which seemed to justify its premium price tag of 2500 AUD.
However, my initial enthusiasm quickly waned as issues began to surface. The vacuum's performance started to deteriorate, and it became less reliable in its navigation and cleaning abilities. Eventually, the device failed altogether, prompting me to contact Ecovacs' customer service for assistance.
My troubles only escalated when I had to send the Deebot X1 Omni back to Ecovacs for repair. The process of getting the device repaired took an exasperatingly long time, spanning several months. This extended downtime without a functioning robotic vacuum was a significant inconvenience and disrupted my household's cleaning routine.
Regrettably, the problems didn't end there. After finally receiving the device back from Ecovacs, it worked satisfactorily for just two weeks before the same issues resurfaced. This recurrent failure raises serious concerns about the device's overall durability and reliability, especially given its high price point.
Considering the significant investment of 2500 AUD for the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni, I expected a product that would consistently deliver exceptional cleaning performance and reliability. Unfortunately, my experience with this particular model has been anything but satisfactory.
In summary, based on my year-long experience with the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni, I cannot recommend this product at its current price point. While it initially showed promise, the recurring issues, lengthy repair process, and ultimate failure of the device have left me deeply disappointed. I hope that Ecovacs will take these issues into consideration and make significant improvements in their future offerings to regain the trust of their customers.
Stay away – Purchased January this year (2023) and has just been sent for the second time for repair. Driving wheel died and WiFi signal frequently lost. often won't allow it to leave the dock. First time it was away for 5 weeks and had issues from day it came back. JB won't replace or refund as Ecovacs want to assess for repair so off it goes again. I have reached out to Ecovacs via email however the emails are unhelpful (please re-set, check wifi, clean the sensors) and are possibly different Evovacs employees each reply as they seem disconnected from what the previous email was about. This is from an email i received from Ecovacs "We strongly advise that you consider sending the robot for repair once more, given that this particular unit has undergone repair only once previously" - how many times should it need repair in under a year?? Anyhoo we have bought a Roborock Revo Q and will continue the fight for a refund. If you value your bank account and sanity stay away from Omni X1.
Almost there but not worth the money – I decided to make this review today after the robot spent 20 mins in a corner of my dining room going in circles. time it takes to setup. Its not set and forget. I regularly get home and its just stopped in the middle of the floor. The initial mapping process was painful and I just thought once its done it'll be ok. It never was. The problem is this machine does not understand what a sliding door or window is. Because it is always re mapping while it cleans it will clean next to a large window or an open front door and think there is another room. Recently it changed my whole house map so drastically it needed to be deleted and re mapped. The map edit function is slow and fiddly. You can add furniture which is a good feature but you cannot add things like rugs which I think would benefit it. Editing the map on a desktop would be much more practical than using the app. I feel that my robot recently got dumber, my house has not changed but it gets stuck all the time now in places it didn't before and I find that it takes longer to clean my house. Stopping in rooms and just buzzing on the spot. Maybe there was some kind of update, but I don't know. I regularly clean it as directed. The maintenance is not basic and will get you down on your knees cleaning inside its little charge dock. It gets filthy and clogged up fast from the dirty water when it cleans the mop heads. The app does remind you what needs to be done to it and when which is very handy. Recently I've been having a message saying my side brushes are worn and to replace which I did but I cannot reset the message like before. Instead of taking me to the screen where you can tell it the maintenance was conducted it just goes to a white screen. Not good for big houses and it struggles to clean around curtains, add a rug nearby and it will just get stuck. It cant mop my whole house without returning to charge, the last room left is a tiny tiled walk in closet. instead of knowing it can do the room in less than 5 minutes it will still need to charge to 100% which takes half the day then it will return to complete the job. If if was as intuitive as it should be for that price it would charge to 35% and then go finish. The vacuum function is good and I cant complain with the results of how it cleans when it works. Cant say I recommend this product and especially for the price. Its like a toddler you tell to go and do chores that needs constant supervision.

Avoid - many problems – Bought originally in December 2022 from JB HiFi. Worked great to begin with, soon problems started. sliding door) it just goes haywire. Same happens when it slips due to slippery floor it creates when it gets a little lost. The navigation fails regularly and it gets lost, causing frequent need to remap the house. The clean water tank seal keeps leaking in to the station as well. The support is atrocious and the staff at both jbhifi as well as ecovacs do not understand, or just ignore, Australian Consumer Laws. Keep in mind that as a consumer, you have the absolute right to choose a replacement, repair, or refund. It cannot be forced on to you by the seller or manufacturer. When it does work, it works ok, but this is rare. It's a poorly designed product that is marketed at a high price, and I will be returning it soon.
edit - soon after posting this, the vacuum failed entirely. the camera stopped working - so no more AI avoidance, and the main brush made a horrible grinding noise then stopped as well. have returned to JB HiFi who are adamant in their refusal to abide by the consumer laws so far, stating their store policy over-rules it. will see what happens
Edit - after the store staff lied to my face, and over phone and (thankfully) email, I received a full refund under ACL major product fault. Both ecovacs and jbhifi staff purposely mislead you against your ACL rights, and in JB HiFi case, their staff policy - the manager I was talking with refused to escalate to their compliance. Avoid JB HiFi as well.

First day same problem again randomly stopping and failing to return to station. Once again 2 weeks for them to respond to emails. Asked if they even repaired machine or even looked at it cause same problem persist. Asked to get full refund or new replacement they said no refund or replacement cause it’s out of there warranty timeframe Said they would repair for free product is still under warranty so you aren’t really giving me a free repair it’s in your terms and conditions like seriously How long is your replacement/refund wind last for ? As the machine was first repairs only 4-5 months old. So what repairs are you going to do to the machine this time to fix the first problem when we sent it down for repairs ? And also the brushes only cost $14. How long will this repair take ????

Too many faults. Unreliable product. Maintenance support poor in Australia – EDIT. Since my original review the X1 has had to be returned for fault fixing 3 more times. All within warranty but very disappointing given it’s been less than 2 years since I bought it. Am now dealing directly with Ecovacs as Godfrey’s no longer trading. Their service department leaves a lot to be desired. Would not buy this machine again. OG… Read more
review: I bought an ECOVACSHOME X1 Omni which worked brilliantly for about 9 months. It then blocked and wouldn’t work without being returned to Godfrey’s maintenance department as required by ECOVACSHOME. It has been 6 weeks and it hasn’t been fixed. The store staff have been sympathetic however the company needs to do more to ensure that such expensive equipment can be fixed in a reasonable timeframe.
Absolutley avoid avoid avoid! – I am extremely dissatisfied with my purchase from the Ecovac Australia Official eBay Store. The clean water tank pump of the robot vacuum constantly fails, which is undoubtedly a manufacturing fault. Despite sending it in for repair three times, the issue persists, with the unit breaking down every few months. The customer service representatives… Read more
have been unhelpful and unwilling to provide a refund. Frustrated with the lack of resolution, I have filed complaints with both the ACCC and Consumer Affairs Victoria. I am so infuriated by this situation that I am prepared to escalate the matter to VCAT (Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal). It is essential for global companies to understand that when they sell products in specific countries, they must comply with local laws and be held accountable for their actions.
I have engaged in countless back-and-forth email exchanges with the customer service team, and I must express my frustration with their utter lack of understanding and competence. It is disheartening to see their cluelessness regarding the ongoing issues with the product. Despite my repeated attempts to seek assistance and resolution, their responses have been unhelpful and have failed to address the root cause of the problem. The countless hours spent communicating with them have only exacerbated my dissatisfaction and further highlighted the lack of effective support provided by Ecovacs Australia's customer service team.
Warning, this issue is not isolated. Google "X1 Omni No longer drawing water from the clean water tank" this has been reported by other users as well.
KEEP YOUR PACKAGING!!! ENSURE WARRANTY – *******UPDATE 3 MONTHS AFTER ORIGINAL POST****** ROBOT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL NOW, TOWER AND ROBOT. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! I bought the ecovac deebot x1 omni in November 2022 and loved it. Did a great job mopping and vaccuming. However, it has a major flaw which is apparently known to ecovac. That is the dirty water tank tube often gets blocked. … Read more
When this occurs the cleaning sink no longer drains into the dirty water tank and the robot will not run unless you manually remove the water (which you can do with a towel).
Thankfully this occurred 4 months after purchase directly from the ecovac store and I had a warranty on the product. I would have been livid otherwise.
Then onto customer service.......contacted ecovac who suggested I pack the entire deebot into the original packaging and send it to the repairs department in Melbourne (I am located in Brisbane) they did send an auspost sticker which meant postage was paid for.
However, I did not keep my packaging as I did not foresee a need too. This was a bit of a palava wrapping in bubble wrap and ensuring the components were all well protected. I stuck the sticker on the box and heard nothing further. The only reason I knew deebot had arrived was through auspost. I heard NOTHING from the ecovac team.....not that had recieved, worked out the problem or fixed it. I then had another notification that deebot was on its way back from Australia post.
I was HORRIFIED on opening the box at how it was packaged and scratched up! Looked like something that had been packaged off the deep dark web, not from a company that 4 months prior took $2000 off me. See attached images. Deebot now makes a loud whirring noise when it runs. However the dirty water empties.....for now.......
Would not recommend this product which is such a shame.
I would say though, if you are going to buy this product, buy it from somewhere like good guys or jb hifi where Australian consumer rights laws apply. They will have to replace or refund when it does fail. Unfortunately, I bought mine from the ecovac store where apparently these rules do not apply.
Complete disaster – Bought this machine from their Chinese.flagship store and arrived in mid February, by end of March, this machine has already given up working. Let alone of doing any vacuum or mopping. It can't even leave the base more than 1 meter then stated itself finish cleaning and as it was trying to return to the base, it even failed doing so. reset to the factory settings. No success. And they won't even do a refund after this dramatic product failure.
I'm not asking the aussie company to refund, but just wanted to share the product quality to you guys. Try other products don't waste your money. Even from the Chinese factory supply, it still cost more than a thousand bucks. No joke.
Never worked – First Deebot didn't work, returned it at Costco and got another one because it does both mopping and cleaning. Numerous problems with mapping, wifi, mopping. Finally, given it for service but the service center takes forever to fix it. Saying Good bye to Deebot and moving on with another brand Show details
Yiko is deaf – Still early days - but had major issues with wifi and eventually had to buy an extender to get a stable connection (even though all other wireless products in the house work without a hitch and even in the room where the Omni is housed). Voice control does not work - Yiko is non responsive and I even went to the desperate measure of completely… Read more
resetting and setting everything up again - still didn't work. As to the principal reason why I bought it, cleaning, so far so good. Luckily I got a reasonable discount, but I would definitely not pay its RRP. Also something I did not research beforehand, the cleaning solution for mopping is $37.50 / Ltr, which is extremely overpriced and out of touch with reality.
