Great product and super professional service…. Very impressed and I am not an easy person to impress
Recently installed the Ekodeck Batten Screen Castellated Panel as a ceiling cladding in my verandah. The product is very easy to install, cutting it is easy. I contacted the sizing and design team and I kept being provided with rubbish advice to the point. I decided to buy Trex. The design I was offered showed the decking boards in the same directions than the joists ?! I pointed it out then they sent a new design that would have required me to mitre cut all boards… long story short, ekodeck design team couldn’t be bothered. No me neither and I moved to the competitor

Follow-up · The sample pack I received contained the classic and designer range of colours. We decided on the classics Greystone for our deck. We were going for another colour but the sample pack changed our minds. You can hold the samples next to your house and gain the best result. Our Bunnings order arrived within 2 weeks of ordering, but we’re rural so it might be faster in the city.

Product is great but it does not have the corner trims, end panels and other joining elements necessary to do a fully finished job. Colour range is good, and no issues with the base product, but missing the extra trims and angles and joining elements needed when going around corners and finishing. Show reply

We were sent a sample box of decking colours which made selection much easier. There was a great range of colour options to choose from. Our builder ordered the product for us through Bunnings. We went with the Backbeach colour which is perfect for our side verandah and we are delighted with the finished product . Show details · 1

Know better, choose better.
We used the screening around the bottom of our house. Really lifted the look of the house, easy to install. Requested a sample kit which was delivered promptly. Helpful video hints for installation available if needed. Can't fault the service or the product. We used Designer colours. Easy to get the product from Bunnings. Show reply
We have just completed our deck (shadow , bal rated) once started and you start understanding what you are doing it is reasonably quick. Clips are very good helping with the overall look and quality. the clips, which led to a bit of confusion at the start. Disappointed that Bal rating boards don’t have grooved face boards. Cleaning is pretty easy just using washing up liquid. Overall we are happy with the look and quality but we only finished it at the end of March 25 so will see over the coming years how well they last and the quality.
June 2025 ( update review) unfortunately started to see hair like fraying of the boards after a discussion with Ekodeck this is an acceptable natural affect. I actually don’t like this as it looks untidy and dirty.

I like the product from the Kit but I was not that pleased with the possible installer as he did not seem to have the experience to carry out the job. I am now finding that right installer myself. Show reply

Overall a nice material to work with, just a bit pricey – A pretty good product overall. The composite material looks to be flexible enough that it will take a lot of walking without breaking, but also quite sturdy too. Ekodeck have a calculator on their website you can use to map things out and work out how many boards you need, I highly recommend this! They will tell you how many boards you need and… Read more · 1
how QuickFix Kits. The QuickFix Kit is a bucket of specialized screws, spacers and clamps etc that are specifically designed for these boards. You can get 3mm or 6mm spacers, use what suits you best.
My deck was only 5.75m2 so I needed to cut all of my boards by about half. I would have liked it if there were various lengths available such as something less than the 5.4M. Otherwise it means I am forced to use Bunnings delivery which is truly, truly terrible. If you have your own truck, or know someone with a truck, see if they can transport the boards for you. Don't use Bunnings delivery.
Overall it was a nice little project that I completed in less than one weekend. The teenager who walks on it constantly hasn't complained yet, so I must have done it right.
