Brittle – We purchased the Electrolux Ultra One a few years ago from Harvey Norman - Castle. Initially it survived us very well - great suction and much quieter than our previous Vac but it did not take long for the accessories to break. piece by piece every plastic part has broken. Contacted Electrolux, [name removed] eventually contacted me but have… Read more
playing an endless game of phone tag without there is still no solution or message of help - just call me back.
Their spare parts agent in Seven Hills Sydney has been promising me the broken handle (connects the wand with the hose) before Christmas - I called today to be told Electrolux will not be supplying him till the New Year!
Thanks for nothing Electrolux.
Have not been able to vacuum the house in weeks and have to wait till New Year - What am I suppose to do now?
Poor plastic design, and not fit for purpose – Since purchasing this, the power head, 3 in one tool, and cover have all broken. It's not engineered for appropriate domestic use. The motor seems fine it's just the plastic casing. Would recommend you reed casings and challenge the 1year warranty on the product to make sure that the company honours consumer law obligations, and don't just pump out products just designed until the end of warranty.
Rubbish model and brand – Purchased an Electrolux based on past experience , they used to make good vacuum cleaners. This model was expensive, but is very poorly constructed. Issues include cord return does work, hose will fall off handle, handle has broken at weak point and both heads have needed to be replaced. Would have given zero stars if possible

Off to the repairer...again – Have already spent half the original purchase price on new hose and 2 circuit boards (out of warranty) and today have to get the cord retracter fixed and a new hard floor nozzle as all the bristles in the old one just fell out. Agree with other comments that when it is working its good.
Don't waste your money! – Purchased in March 2010 after being recommended by sales person at Harvey Norman for $590. My last vacuum was from kmart cost around $100 and lasted years. I decided it was time for an upgrade with my dog, young kids and allergies. It was good in the beginning but now after 3.5 years it has broken down twice! The head was the first to go after 2… Read more
years and cost $110 to replace. The side plastic part where you house the vacuum stand also broke not long after. Now, the handle has snapped off! It seems to me that the plastic construct is not durable and can't handle the wear and tear. I will now have to spend the $50 odd dollars to have the handle replaced.
My next vacuum will probably be a miele - never electrolus again! Length of cord was longer, good for allergy sufferers, quieter than last vacuum Expensive for what you get and broken parts after only a few years!
Top price, terrible quality. Buyer beware – My Electrolux is falling apart after 3 years. Cost $500 and I am now up for repairs of $230. Electrolux have offered to cover $23 of that. The head, hose assembly, on/off button, cord winding mechanism, and cover lock have all broken. I believe they are not a quality product and I would be very careful about choosing this product. HEPA filter Cheaply made, all the plastic parts break off.
