perfume so this isn't my signature scent, I've got about 15 or so I rotate through. I favour Givenchy perfumes. It depends where I'm going, what I'm wearing, how I'm feeling as to what perfume I choose to wear for the day or night. This one though I do like wearing... I've smelt it on others and it can smell different than it does on me and I can tell it doesn't suit some people. I think it depends on your body chemistry as it whether or not it works for you.

Toxic and lethal – Red door perfume should be banned. It makes me feel like I have asthma, dementia and nausea within 5 minutes of smelling it on some one. I have trouble speaking and coordinating. Driving home from where I smell it is dangerous. I am debilitated and off work for days. Talking to some nursing home nurses ... they are affected by it so throw it in the bin if an old lady is given it. Gee! Wonder why the ladies are in the nursing home?? Sandra

Love it – I wear this daily and have been complimented when I was working (now a stay at home mum). I have loved the smell since I was a little girl (both my mum and grandmother wear it too). Only is heavy and overbearing if you decide to drown yourself in it, so wear it properly.

Absolutely love it! Worth the money! – A friend got me a small bottle of this as a gift, and I cannot believe how often I get compliments or passing comments about how nice I smell when I have it on. No scent anymore – I have used Red Door since it came out. I always received comments and inquiries about it. I never changed scents because the smell was on coats ,gowns etc for years. My husband always bought it for me and after he passed away my children bought for me. However, my new bottle has no scent at all. I called, but they don't care. Awful! – Nothing like original! why can’t the company do a special edition or something, just so all of us that have been wearing this perfume 20 years plus & have sadly told people what one it is for them to buy it too & be so disappointed, like everyone else, the amount of people that have commented over the years from strangers has been unbelievable.

Completely different smell from the original! – I fell in love with Red Door nearly 15 years ago. I just bought a new bottle from Chemist Warehouse and it smells so horrible. It smells like cheap soap! There’s a slight lingering smell of the original but it smells so nasty and cheap and gross. It has a very powdery floral smell that is very overpowering and nauseating. HQ admits that Red Door’s formula has changed – Yes. Rev Lon acquired Elizabeth Arden. I emailed and talked to HQ Consumer Affairs. They told me the scent has been changed, more alcohol, etc. It’s not even a watered down version of the old RD…it’s completely different. So why not be honest. Rename it. valley…mid notes of rose, orange flower, jasmine…and base notes of oak moss, honey and sandalwood are no more. I switched to Calvin Klein Eternity…created in 1988…a year earlier than RD (who probably tried to copy cat CKE) . It lasts and has many of the same fragrance notes. There should be a class action suit to force RD to rename the crappy new imposter!

What happened? – I have worn and loved Red Door for many years. I was given a new bottle for mothers day yesterday and was really pleased as I had run out of it. Red door scent – I have wore red door for over 20 years. Everyone knows that smell on me is my trademark. I bought a bottle several months ago and it did not have that scent i love. Disappointed – I have used Red Door for more than 20 years. A while back I bought a spray bottle and it didn't smell the same. I thought it must have been a fake. Last year my husband bought me another one and that smells like the fake too. So disappointed. The original one often drew compliments and lasted really well without being overpowering. A HORRIBLE CHANGE – I fell in love with Red Door Perfume well over 20yrs ago. I kept it stocked and recently ran out of it. I purchase an new bottle of the Red Door Eau de Toilette spray.
