Installation went according to plan. Since they got their money, communication has been poor. Indian based comny so could be problems getting help here in Australia. Stick with an Australian based company for follow up. Show details
If I could give zero stars, I would. This company cost me the April 30th battery rebate due to misleading assurances and inconsistent communication. assurances, I paid the deposit believing everything was secured.
Throughout early April, I followed up and was repeatedly told that everything was on track. I was later given an installation date of April 24. However, as the date approached, the explanation suddenly changed- I was told there were “installer shortages” and that the installation could no longer be guaranteed. Another customer I spoke with received a completely different excuse, which raised further concerns about the company’s transparency. By the time the truth surfaced, it was too late to secure another provider, and I ultimately missed the April 30th rebate.
What made the situation even more concerning was the pattern I observed. It left me wondering whether the company gained some benefit from collecting deposits from multiple customers, or whether those “confirmed slots” were instead given to last‑minute customers who were quoted higher prices. We will never know.
When I requested my refund, it was dragged out for several days. Even after following up, I was told it would take 5 business days to process. The refund was only issued after I made it clear that I would escalate the matter.
My advice is to stay away. A company whose staff do not even use their real names when dealing with customers is not one I can consider trustworthy.

I was pleased to find these guys in the market Energy Bite. I was perplexed by the number of competitors facebook ads "in your face" and I found Energy Bite to be honest and sharp with their pricing and very knowledgeable on install requirements. It is tricky with the gov rebate and everyone trying to take advantage. I recommend them. Show details

⚠️ Warning to Customers – Avoid This Company I strongly recommend avoiding Energy Bite based on my experience. I was quoted and signed a contract for a 15kW inverter with a solar battery system, and paid the required deposit in good faith. All documentation was completed and agreed upon. However, two weeks later, the company contacted me to say… Read more
the inverter was “sold out” and attempted to downgrade me to a 10kW inverter, which is not suitable for my 15kW solar system.
This is extremely concerning. Changing key system specifications after signing a contract and taking payment is both unprofessional and misleading. It puts customers in a difficult position, especially when timelines and rebates or deadlines are involved.
At that point, I lost confidence entirely. While I could have pushed to enforce the original agreement, I was not comfortable proceeding given the lack of transparency and professionalism. When it comes to something as critical as your home’s electrical system, trust and reliability are non negotiable.
As a result, I’ve had to walk away and now risk missing the May 1st deadline, which has significant implications for me financially and logistically.
My advice:
* Be extremely cautious when dealing with this company * Double-check all equipment availability before paying any deposit * Ensure contract terms are honored in writing and not changed later
I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through this experience.
I’ve left a review after the installation of the solar battery and inverter. Everything has been working well so far—thanks to Veronica for the excellent service and fast response throughout the process!
Price was unbeatable, 6.5k for 42kwh battery and 10kw inverter (and 15m of cabling). I got messed around by an Australia-based company who boasted their own installers, for 6 bloody months before I pulled the pin on them, they were unable to deliver despite me being metro QLD. 6 months that cost me $3000 in electricity while I was still having to… Read more
pull from the grid over summer.
With the rebate drop looming, in only 6 weeks start to finish, "Steve" and "George" got me signed and installed, not just at one property, but at 2. I was so impressed with the speed and quality of the first install, I signed for a second property, which included 10kw of panels for another 5.5k (12k total for battery and panels).
Yes, you are getting subcontractors. Does that matter? Not in the slightest, there's no guarantee that just because someone works for XYZ company directly, that they will do a better or worse job, so I would not worry.
Everyone on the phones is foreign with fake/localised names, but I could not care less given the fact they delivered when other companies would not, for a lower price as well. Additionally, they were all perfectly amicable.
Install at primary residence was not 100% perfect in terms of cabling being a little messy on the inverter, but it is barely noticeable and does not present a safety hazard.
Side note, you will not get these prices now for the same battery size due to rebate drops, so do not use this review as a direct price reference ongoing.
Overall, I was happy with the sales team, although their communication regarding install dates left something to be desired. Time will tell if their after-sals support is good or not, but the contractors who did the install did a wonderful, professional, clean install and I’m happy with the results. Show details
Derek from Energy Bite was very helpful when planning for the battery installation. Derek communicated and kept me upto date at the every stage of the process. Derek even liaised with the installers and ensured they installed Battery as per original plan and not allowing any alterations or massive unexpected costs. Show details
Jayden made the whole experience very easy to deal with. Did not try to upsell any products but provided all options that were available. Only issues was the delivery of the batteries before the installation. Delivery was not advised prior and I did not have any notice that the components would be delivered before the installation. Very neat and clean install. Electricians took all rubbish with them and cleaned site very thorough afterwards. Show details
Massive shoutout to David and Kevin by making my battery installed in time, and went through a very smooth transaction, no delays no excuses. Installer were very friendly and did a very clean and professional install! Highly recommended!!! Show details

I looked at a lot of options for my battery installation and I'm so glad I chose Energy Bite. All my interactions were professionally handled. The original installation date didn't work for me as I needed to move my air-conditioner condenser, so they worked out a way to change it. The installer was great and explained everything once he was finished. The battery is doing what it is supposed to do and I couldn't be happier. Show details

I can see that many Energy Bite customers are happy with their Fox ESS battery and installation. Honestly, I was too at first. Fox ESS is a solid system, and the subcontractors who installed mine in mid-December were tidy, professional, and did a great job with what they were instructed to do. Unfortunately, “what they were instructed to do” is… Read more
where things started to unravel.
The subcontractors were not properly informed by Energy Bite’s installation coordinator ([Name Removed]) about what was actually meant to be installed at my property. So if yours was installed correctly, fantastic — enjoy it. But if you ever need them to come back and fix something, buckle up.
I paid extra for DC coupling instead of AC coupling. However, the correct licensed electricians were not sent to connect my solar panels to the new inverter. On top of that, the system was not updated to the latest firmware version.
I was told by Energy Bite to leave the system AC-coupled until the second week of January and that someone would be arranged to return and complete the work properly. That sounded reasonable, and I agreed.
Spoiler: nothing happened.
When I followed up in the second week of January, nothing had been scheduled. Then I was given a specific date. Then another. Then another. So far, I have taken time off work three separate times, each with a confirmed date and time window. I even called the day before each appointment to reconfirm — every time I was assured everything was booked and ready.
Each time, no one showed up.
[Name Removed], the installation coordinator, has effectively disappeared. Calls are ignored or cut short, and promised callbacks never happen. Full ghost mode.
Ironically, the only person who seems genuinely willing to help is a sales representative at Energy Bite — and to be fair, he is trying and remains positive — but even that support has been inconsistent.
I have given the company multiple opportunities to resolve this. I sent a formal complaint email to Sunil, the company owner, and received no response. At this point, it feels like once they have your money, the relationship ends. New customers appear to take priority over existing ones.

Update: After two and a half months, Energy Bite finally sent a team on a Friday afternoon to convert the system from AC to DC coupling.
Unfortunately, the workmanship was the worst I have seen (photo attached, conduit just cut off and silicon in it). The team appeared rushed and focused on finishing as quickly as possible. Communication was difficult, and when I questioned the quality of the work, I was told that running conduit neatly between walls was “not allowed in NSW,” which did not sound credible.
It felt very much like a “Friday afternoon rush job.”

Summary: The product itself (Fox ESS) is solid, and the first subcontractor team did a good job with the initial install. However, if something goes wrong after installation, do not expect timely follow-up or accountability.
I am giving two stars because, during the original install, only one scheduled appointment was cancelled — which, based on my experience since, almost feels like a win.
I had a great experience with Energy Bite. They installed my solar battery within just two days. There was an issue with the original battery, but they replaced it within a week. process was smooth and reassuring.
Overall, a very positive experience. Installing the battery has definitely helped me save a lot of money, and I would happily recommend Energy Bite to others.
Awesome from start to finish. Was not pressured Harry the sales man you were the one no pressure true and honest to let me know that I can’t get it done for Xmas but held the quote for the new year what a gentlemen. The installers very professional Know there stuff. Thanks again Show details

Arron and Kevin helped me install a battery system to accompany my existing solar panels. They were efficient and effective in this task and the installation was set up perfectly first go. Can not recommend these boys more.
Follow-up · No contact, but no problems! I am so happy with the installation.

installation and refund deposit. They cancel installation and after two weeks of requests to refund are still sitting on my $700 deposit. Sales people rude and unprofessional, making promises to ensure installation prior to deposit being paid then evaporating afterwards. A more confusing and hard to understand sales team one could not experience on the phone. I will start proceedings with Fair Trading AM 14/4 to recover my deposit.
Follow-up · Energy bites sales lady , I will call her (S) called to offer a deposit refund, that was contingent on me changing my one star review of the company. After a heated exchange she relented and said all deposit funds would be refunded , but then asked again to change my review. Very happy with Energy Bite, George was patient with me when I changed my requirements and provided updated quotes quickly. Follow-up · The system is working well, I have it set to discharge for 2 hours during the peak period and I consistently export 30kW each day. My bill is in credit for the first time ever.

Beware — extremely poor service and communication I placed my order four months ago and the installation still has not been completed. The company appears to lack adequate ground-level staff, and outsourced labour seems to be too expensive for them to manage properly. The result has been ongoing delays and no clear installation timeframe. Their… Read more
communication has been extremely disappointing. I have sent multiple emails asking for updates about the installation, but have received no response. I am now waiting for a refund, and once again, I have not received any reply. To make matters worse, the Queensland Government rebate has reduced from May, meaning I will now likely end up paying more if I have to arrange installation with another provider. This is extremely frustrating and feels like very bad luck after already waiting so long. My sincere advice is to avoid this company unless you are prepared to waste both your money and your precious time.
Well, what an “experience” this has been. In short: I cannot recommend this company—especially if you live outside a metro area or have any non-standard requests (tilt frames, additional electrical work, etc.). Their inability to communicate requirements to installers, follow through on agreed details, or keep you informed will very likely leave… Read more
you frustrated and disappointed. To be fair this may improve in the coming months as demand is sure to drop off.
I signed up in early February and was told installation would occur around mid-March. To be fair, the quotation process was solid. They took the time to understand what I wanted, weren’t pushy, and provided relatively clear pricing upfront (which, at the time, felt like a positive compared to others). However, even here there were warning signs—pricing for additional cable changed by the time of installation, with a blunt “that’s the price now as installer is charging us more now as well”
My install was booked for mid-March—no show, no call. I was then told “about a week” for rescheduling (nothing), then “1–2 weeks” (again, nothing), and so on. You get the picture. Meanwhile, I was watching others who signed up well after me having installs within about 2 weeks installed while I sat at 10+ weeks waiting.
I even suggested simplifying the job (battery only) to make it easier for an installer to accept, as I was told installers were cherry-picking quick jobs. They agreed in principle… and then seemingly ignored that entirely, continuing to delay trying to do the full job while risking my eligibility for rebates—something that should have been my decision, not theirs to gamble with.
Communication throughout was consistently poor. Promises were made and broken, follow-ups were required constantly (often multiple times), and at times it felt like concerns were brushed off entirely. Then came install day—which somehow managed to be even worse.
I was told equipment would arrive a few days prior. It didn’t. After chasing repeatedly, a courier finally showed up at 5:50AM on the day of installation, expecting two people to help unload—with zero prior notice. After assisting, we discovered the panels delivered were the wrong ones. Following a heated discussion (loud enough for the neighbours), the driver eventually agreed to unload the correct panels. In seeing how this driver had customer details spread across scrap paper, some labelled products on pallets and SMS or similar messages I can kind of see how the mix up was made. The panels left on the truck were then very badly packaged as he drove off about another hour to next customer. My installers and I believe that at best they will arrive in sub optimal condition and I feel sorry for those customers. When he came back to pick up the panels he had unloaded earlier and then couldn’t fit back on the truck my installers were kind enough to pack them properly on the truck for him so he could go back to an earlier delivery with at least those ones not damaged.
Even then, it wasn’t complete—tilt frames were missing, along with other components that weren’t discovered until later such as auto transfer switch but were explicitly confirmed at every step of the process. Just goes to show promises and confirmations from this company mean nothing.
The only redeeming part of this entire experience was the installer and his team. They were professional, capable, and did their best to salvage the situation and deliver something close to what was originally agreed. Without them, this would have been a complete disaster. If I didn't have a great team turn up I am sure I would be in a dispute right now.
Overall, the experience has been exhausting. Constant chasing, broken commitments, poor coordination, and zero accountability.
Once I had been harassed several times within about 15 minutes from multiple EnergyBite personnel about payment on the day whilst still trying to sort out the headaches from the courier and lack of communication with installer and what was and wasn't actually proceeding I have not heard a word from Energy Bite. No check-in or anything to verify happy with install or feedback etc in the 2 weeks that followed. Like I've said above just happy I got lucky with a good installation team.
I genuinely cannot recommend this company. Proceed at your own risk and if you do go with them make sure you confirm every single teeny tiny detail with the installer before works are commenced.
Sorry for being wordy but in cases like this believe detailed feedback is beneficial to potential new customers so they can really understand
The service provided was unsatisfactory and misleading. A 32 KWH solar battery installation was scheduled on March 12th, secured with a $600 deposit, and a written confirmation guaranteed installation by April 30th, 2026. Despite this, there was no communication for a month. Upon my inquiry regarding an estimated time of arrival (ETA) for the… Read more
battery, an EnrgyBite representative stated that my details had been forwarded to an installer, after which communication ceased again. A week later, I was informed via phone that EnergyBite could not fulfill the installation due to a lack of available installers.
Given the approaching May 1st deadline, which impacts eligibility for desired solar rebates, I was offered two options: a refund or a 28KWH battery for an additional $2000. I have requested a refund, though I was considering escalating this matter to the ACCC.

Absolutely horrible experience with this company. Please avoid. I paid a deposit of $1,000 in early April for a solar and battery package. for April. They wanted me to pay $8,000 more to get the same set up installed in May. They would refuse to get a manager to speak to me even after getting a cheaper quote for the same set up from another company.
