I was perplexed by the number of competitors facebook ads "in your face" and I found Energy Bite to be honest and sharp with their pricing and very knowledgeable on install requirements. where things started to unravel.

The subcontractors were not properly informed by Energy Bite’s installation coordinator ([Name Removed]) about what was actually meant to be installed at my property. So if yours was installed correctly, fantastic — enjoy it. But if you ever need them to come back and fix something, buckle up.

I paid extra for DC coupling instead of AC coupling. However, the correct licensed electricians were not sent to connect my solar panels to the new inverter. On top of that, the system was not updated to the latest firmware version.

I was told by Energy Bite to leave the system AC-coupled until the second week of January and that someone would be arranged to return and complete the work properly. That sounded reasonable, and I agreed.

Spoiler: nothing happened.

When I followed up in the second week of January, nothing had been scheduled. Then I was given a specific date. Then another. Then another. So far, I have taken time off work three separate times, each with a confirmed date and time window. I even called the day before each appointment to reconfirm — every time I was assured everything was booked and ready.

Each time, no one showed up.

[Name Removed], the installation coordinator, has effectively disappeared. Calls are ignored or cut short, and promised callbacks never happen. Full ghost mode.

Ironically, the only person who seems genuinely willing to help is a sales representative at Energy Bite — and to be fair, he is trying and remains positive — but even that support has been inconsistent.

I have given the company multiple opportunities to resolve this. I sent a formal complaint email to Sunil, the company owner, and received no response. At this point, it feels like once they have your money, the relationship ends. New customers appear to take priority over existing ones.

Update: After two and a half months, Energy Bite finally sent a team on a Friday afternoon to convert the system from AC to DC coupling.

Unfortunately, the workmanship was the worst I have seen (photo attached, conduit just cut off and silicon in it). The team appeared rushed and focused on finishing as quickly as possible. Communication was difficult, and when I questioned the quality of the work, I was told that running conduit neatly between walls was “not allowed in NSW,” which did not sound credible.

It felt very much like a “Friday afternoon rush job.”

Summary: The product itself (Fox ESS) is solid, and the first subcontractor team did a good job with the initial install. However, if something goes wrong after installation, do not expect timely follow-up or accountability.

I am giving two stars because, during the original install, only one scheduled appointment was cancelled — which, based on my experience since, almost feels like a win.

I quoted with 2 other retailers and paid the deposit and backed out due to concerns. Went with Energybite and everything was much more professional, 2 weeks from signing to install. Installers they chose had 5/5 stars. Very good quality install, neat, tidy and fast. Awesome Show details

Great team, highly recommended. James was great at communicating about the product options and timeline and the installation team on the day that installed my home battery were very efficient, neat and got everything set up on my phone so I can monitor its performance.

Energy Bite installed my FoxESS - 10kw inverter / 42kwh battery stack. Excellent process all the way through. From signing up to install was just over 2 weeks. already had about 13kW of panels on my roof and had decided to purchase the 42kw Fox modular battery system with 10kW hybrid inverter. Sunil from Solar Bite committed that he could do a better price and a neater installation. He also committed to having my system installed within 3 weeks. I took the leap and deposited with Energy Bite within a couple of days. Was required to pay a 10 percent deposit to get the process started and the balance on or before the day of installation. I was a bit concerned about that, but my concerns were unfounded.

Within about 10 days, I received notice from Ausgrid that my application was approved. My installation was booked in for the next week. From deposit to installation took 20 days. Energy Bite were certainly good to their word. Particularly when a lot of other installers were experiencing delays due to stock shortages and availability of quality installers.

The installers turned up as promised at 7.30 am and the truck carrying the batteries and inverter arrived a short time later. The team were polite, professional and very considerate. They took the time to make sure the batteries and inverter were installed where I wanted. Everything was unpacked and the truck driver took away all of the cardboard and packaging materials.

The installation team took their time to install everything really neatly, taking genuine pride in their workmanship. I elected to have the system DC coupled, which threw up a few challenges. The team were on site for almost 11 hours and did a fantastic job.

The app was connected and everything worked perfectly after the commissioning process.

I am a firm believer that the true value of a company lies in their ability not just to take an order but to deal with issues well when they arise. There was a small issue with my meter box which was causing the system to not function optimally. I contacted Energy Bite and they were out within 2 days to fix it. Perfect customer service and commitment to their product.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Energy Bite for anyone considering installing solar batteries at their home. They did a fantastic job, completed a really neat and professional installation at a very competitive price. Thanks to Sunil, Karl and the team at Energy Bite!

answered all my questions. i have doubt about that they located in NSW, i am in Parkinson QLD. how good they will service? but they outstanding, i bought 40kw Fox ess battery with 5800$ installation done within 30 days, which was cant beat by some leading companies. highly recommended.
