Envirosun TS300/5E (Thermosiphon, Electric Boost)

Our unit installed in June 2024 replaced the 26 year old Edwards solar HWS that had died. As it was winter we needed to have the booster on for about 30 minutes a day during occasional very cold or cloudy days. However over the past 7 months since August 2024 there has been no need for the booster and the supply of hot waster has been excellent. Alex at Ureco and the installers were very obliging and efficient and it was a pleasure dealing with them.

Pretty much perfect – The perfect hot water system for us, we're a family of four & it keeps up with our needs.

Instilationi7 – Your system works perfect but the installer(sun city hot water)leave a lot to be desired. We had our electric circuit breaker tripping out. So we called the installer.who came and said it was an electrical problem (which he said he wasn't) so he isolated the system .cost of $160 for nothing. so an electrician found that where Sun City hot water connected the power was not sealed & filled up with water which was on the side of the house .Contacted Sun City hotwater.would not refund & would charge again to send someone out.had their installer contact us & he would not fix his fault without a price .so still no hot water till the sun comes out.your unit is A1 but Don use SUN CITY HOT WATER TO INSTALL IT.

Works very well. Efficient enough to work in winter – I've had my Envirosun thermo-siphon with E25 panels through a Sydney winter and am able to run our household of 4 off 100% solar for many, maybe most days. Way more productive/ efficient than my previous solarhart L. The E25 panels are I think about 20% bigger, but the quality of the tank insulation and installation (pipes, valves etc) insulation probably also helps. My electricity consumption is down consistently throughout the year, on many winter days down by 40%/ 10kWh consistently (excluding overcast days). To be fair the SolarHart's performance had no doubt deteriorated with age (about 15 years old). But the difference is huge. It's a big call, expensive kit, but it looks like the extra cost will payoff within about 4-5 winters
