They use MetLife for their insurance and that is an absolute disaster. Months of lies by MetLife and still gotten nowhere. Any fund that uses MetLife should be avoided like the plague.
Fantastic fund, led me into retirement with a financial advisor, my money has grown much more than the other funds i was with.
Nothing but crooks and liars. Brutally hate these people for withholding my money

Cannot login!! Still waiting for their IT to fix the issue – Cannot logon to account due to system issues. Still not rectified..it's been days now. Not good enough Equip Super!!

Worst returns ever – The returns with this super fund are terrible.Two steps forward and one step backwards.My wife is with aussie super and the returns are very good.The negative returns was immediate when riotinto changed from mercer to equip.Not happy
Had reference number – I.got a call from.equip I wasn't able to answer the phone. The guy left a reference number. I am away from home so all.my details are at home.i.phoned and even through I gave them.my details and I said I had a reference number they still wanted a employee number and they wouldn't proceed any further. Good performer and happy with service – Member for around 10 yrs (post Rio.) Although some challenges with responsiveness (relating to superannuation funds) funds are secure, returns have been good and no problems contacting staff with questions.
A very poorly operated Super Fund – Switched from Rio Tinto super to Equip and it has been the worst experience so far. Half of the staff including the chief client officer do not understand their own firm's policies. Requiring the customer to highlight their policy wordings in their forms and then educate equip staff on the same. Pathetic incompetence at the best of times
Very bad superfund – I been with this fund for years. The fee is increasing all the time. I waste my time and my money. My friend’s one is growing lots. I am going to join his ones.
Abysmal – Their customer service is focused on keeping members away from the management team - even if the customer support officer can't answer your query. They repeatedly promise to contact back and then don't. 20 days waiting so far for a response. Horrible phone system (and I work from home myself so know fully well what is capable of being done). Do not even respond to complaints. Will have to go to ombudsman to get result. Show details

Horrible – Am a current member and I cannot even get hold of them to make a super claim. After 11 months of trying both via email and phone I'm now taking legal action. Put your super elsewhere do not go with this mob
Equip super does not care about the issue of divorce – Contacted equip super (trustee) in regards to replenishing a depleted account after divorce. I requested that this issue was reviewed with legislators - ignored.
No reply, cant get through on the phone – Emailed an insurance question 20 days ago, still no reply. Spent 15 mins on hold trying to follow up - no answer so took the 'call me when I reach the front of the queue' option, 45 mins later and I'm still waiting for them to call back. Time to move to a provider who values me as a customer, having the correct insurance in place is vital and I can't even speak to anyone about it!
Customer service... Where?? – Customer service doesn't exist for this company, they want your money, but refuse to part with it when you need to apply for release of funds. Choose another super company if you like service and responses to enquiries regarding your own money.
helpline – Tried to contact them 3 times this morning. Left my number on the last try because "all of their consultants were extremely busy". Have now been waiting for about an hour for the call back.
Shocking – They charge exorbitant fees, returns minimal. I tried to change super funds and it took 4 months and multiple attempts to prove my identity. Each submission was apparently incorrect or sent via wrong medium- it wasn't they just kept changing what was required. I would recommend moving from these frauds ASAP
Online access impossible – I'm an employer- one of my employees uses Equip super and I always have difficulty every quarter in paying her super. It would appear that every 3 months my login changes - their website changes and now they use a third party website for all super contributions - which has currently blocked my access - reason unknown - still awaiting a reply from… Read more
them. I try to get all super payments in on time - all my other employee websites and access are easy and straightforward. Sending money to Equip is about as painful as root canal surgery and every 3 months I have to allow them 3 weeks to allow them to explain their "NEW" access procedure. A Total waste of time.
Poor online access – I have been equip super member since 2012 and I changed employer though staying with equip super so i get continuity of service and online statements, etc. To my surprise all the online account statements were unavailable as soon I changed employer, while still using equip. is to call them and get it emailed. They charge loads of fee for the service but can't provide all online statements.
Longest claims process of all the superannuations! – Equip are currently making me send proof of address, a bank statement (when I've left the country!) and photo Id all whilst I'm out the country!!! Just saying the call centre is ALSO only open 9-5 Monday to Friday just to make it easy to contact them while your working.
Easy to manage but – High standard in reporting but asset switch and buy sell spread very high.. not suitable for those who actively manage their super investments. The flexibility of asset switch instantly is impressive. If they can reduce the fee I would not consider leaving them. Website is also well designed.
