ErgoPouch ErgoCocoon 0.2 tog

Suffocation risk – These are terrible, I used the correct size for bub and the sleeping bag would always creep up over his face when his arms were in. Lucky I spotted this without leaving him in it overnight! Only good for arms out which defeats the purpose initially. I'll be sticking with the love to dream ones! Show details
Bad zip, fabric too stretchy – My baby was using 1.0 tog ergopouch cocoon and loves it although can’t seem to settle and sleep with 0.2 tog ergococoons as the fabric are stretchy and can’t keep his fists down and inside, he is able to wriggle them out through the top, zip also comes undone and fabric rides up over his face. Steer clear of 0.2 tog ergococoons Show details
Terrible. So unsafe. Suffocation hazard – This sleeping bag ends up completely covering my son’s face by the end of the night and he is definitely in the right size for his age (3 months). Will never use these again they are so dangerous. I’ve told all my mummy friends to steer clear and they just can’t believe the pictures of his face covered. I’m surprised this product is allowed on the market.
Meh – It worked well when my son’s weight was in the lower half of the sizing recommendation, but as soon as he got a little bigger (and should have still fit into the pouch according to the sizing), he would manage to wriggle till the zipper popped open and his arms could come out. This isn’t the best from a safety perspective and as my son was not yet… Read more
ready to transition out of a swaddle, having his arms free turned out to be a major distraction.
Meh. Worked for awhile. Product quality is not great and have had a number of sleepless nights resettling a baby (who would normally sleep 11 hours) as a result.
Poor quality on zip – I just bought one of these for my 6 week old bub. The fabric bunches up around her face, and she is able to escape just by pushing her arms out as the zipper is just not strong enough. Fairly disappointed as I bought this product to contain her arms.
Perfect for my baby who slept with fists under chin – Everyone raves about the love to dream but this suited my fists under chin or fists on chest baby perfectly. I loved that it was organic cotton and able to transition to arms out. Didn't love that different patterns had different fabric strength. It was very noticeable between the 2 I bought. At 7 months, my bub (who is just over 50 percentile for… Read more
height and weight) outgrew the 3-12 month size. The neck hole was quite restrictive at about 6 months and by 7 he was getting heat rashes cuz it was so tight.
Perfect – I brought my daughter an ergo 0.2 tog swaddle its perfect for winter with her pjs on as well it doesn't make her swear and light enough for summer This is the only one she doesn't make her way out of And the two way zipper makes it easy for late night nappy changes with out disturbing her too much
Best swaddle for summer! – After researching swaddles and I really loved the look of ergococoon and ergopouch swaddles. I purchased a few of the ergococoon 0.2 swaddles for my son as he was born in January right in the middle of an Australian summer. The material itself is thin and extremely high quality. It swaddles babies perfectly while still allowing airflow and never… Read more
overheated my son even in the middle of summer (35°C+). Best swaddle on the market, couldn't be happier! I'm definitely going to get more swaddles for future children!
Perfect product – Excellent swaddle as the zip makes it easy for everyone to use. Especially when grandparents are babysitting! The option to progressively let arms out is fantastic. The pattern and colour range is great this season. The only improvement would be a car seat hole option but it's a great product!
I would have been lost without this product – I would have been lost without this product. so easy to use, especially when my baby was tired, the last thing I wanted was a complicated swaddle. Even though the swaddle was firm (as it is meant to be) It didn't imprison my baby, and allowed her to "wrestle" for want of a better phrase, to self-soothe to sleep. I believe it has truly helped my baby become an excellent sleeper.
Love this – I have a very strong baby, who would break out of almost any swaddle. We found Halo sleep sacks and Love to Dream swaddles were excellent, but he could escape from the Halo and sometimes the LTD was not enough for him to sleep well as he would hit himself in the face too much. I found the ergococoon to be amazing as it seems like he likes to be… Read more
able to move his hands, or hold his hands, but still have that secure feeling. The beck looks tight, but it's perfectly good. The arms have two snap buttons which he had never escaped from, contrary to some other reviews. I have had his arms out in this suit & he didn't like the full use of his arms - he's four months and not rolling back to stomach so it's still fine for us at the moment. Altogether this is my favourite sleep suit and I would buy more if I wasn't going to transition him out soon.
Too much fabric – I bought this as a transition swaddle for my 6 month old. He loved his ergo swaddle but had outgrown it and was rolling over during the night. He hated the ergo cocoon and would not fall asleep when in it. It was too big (even though I bought the recommended size) and when he was trying to self soothe the fabric would ride up around his face. very dangerous!
Questionable materials, terrible service! – I gave up on this product nearly 4 years ago but I still laugh about my customer service experience today so thought it was worth writing a review. I didn't have any troubles with the arm holes or hand escaping through neck holes, however my baby would suck on anything she could get into her mouth, so she sucked on the zipper through the hood.… Read more
It quickly became obvious that there was some sort of chemical reaction happening causing a vivid blue discolouration to affect the cotton. My concern was that my daughter was ingesting whatever this substance was.
I wrote to the manufacturer hoping they could shed some light or offer a solution. After a string of emails they came back with the following:
1. We don't know what this is.
2. No one else has had this problem (read: it's not us, it's you.)
3. Unzip it so that she can't get it into her mouth (I'm sorry, WHAT?!!!)
4. We don't know.
By way of comparison, I had a minor flaw with a sleep sack that I purchased in the following months. The manufacturer replaced it without a question asked.
I never did find out what that zipper was made of.
Buttons too far apart on arms...DANGEROUS – So, we just woke up to our baby with her arm wedged in between the button holes, a freezing cold arm (circulation cut off and cold weather) and a nice, big tourniquet mark around her arm. She is using the 3 to 12 months size, which is a good fit on her. I've used the tog 1's until the weather changed recently. I wasnt completely happy with them,… Read more
but they weren't going to harm her irreversibly, so continued using them. One extra button, manufacturers!!!! One extra button on each side could prevent this from happening. Our baby can't do this in the tog 1's because of the stretch factor. I'm starting to think I need to design baby products as there is so many dangerous or poorly thought through products out there. Not impressed.
