Fairy Platinum Tablet Questions & Answers
I was going to ask if anyone else hates the smell of Fairy dishwasher tablets. I inadvertently purchased Fairy large packet and will toss them out as the smell is so toxic! Never again.
Last packet of fairy tablets are leaving 3/4 tablet in dishwasher What’s causing this. Paid $25 for the packet. Not happy
Water in your dishwasher not hot enough or is something in the dishwasher blocking water getting to the tablet if it's in the tablet dispenser?
I am finding that the Fairy tablets foam up too much and cause excessive sudding in the dishwasher. Has anyone else found this?
Has anyone found out if Fairy Platinum Plus is safe in Septic Systems?
I'm not sure
I would like to know this also
Based on the toxic perfume smell and taste left on every dish as well as the toxic smell permeating throughout the entire house when using fairy dishwashing tablets, I would not use them for a septic system. I had to bin them. Even a year later the smell is still embedded in my memory. Plastic containers had to be ditched as well as the smell simply would not come out no matter how many times I rewashed.
Hi all. I have emailed the company and received the following response. It's not a definitive answers but they did respond at least. Thank you for contacting Procter & Gamble. Fairy detergents contain several sodium sources (e.g. carbonate, sulphate, percarbonate) and they do not contain citric acid.
As you can imagine, the resultant greywater/ septic tanks can be a complex variable concoction of chemicals depending on what was washed, the type of detergents used, how much detergents are used, the grease/food residue from the dishes, etc. Therefore, we are unable to advise which dishwashing tablets are suitable for use.
Please note that although the dishwashing tablets are only a small contributor to the greywater/ septic tanks, the amount of sodium and citric acid would already be present in diluted proportion inside the greywater mixture.
I hope this information helps.
We appreciate your time getting in touch with us.
Always take care and stay safe.
I just called the fairy office and asked specifically 'Fairy Platinum' was septic tank safe. I was advised that yes it is and that all their products are septic safe
Please tell me if Fairy Dishwasher tablets are safe to use if you have a septic waste system .
Yes could you please answer this question?
I am over seventy so my eyesight is not quite as perfect as when young but all the same it is still fairly good. I have skin problems so I am careful to read safety instructions. The print is soooo small! What planet do they think we come from to be able to dear such small print?
I wrote sincerely to your company complaining about the quality of the product. IT didn’t clean my dishes
The casings have leaked and are all stuck together and I can't find an email to sent a photo and a complaint to can anyone help? Thank you in advance
I seem to be experiencing problems with my fairy original.. ie. ... the casing is only allowing the top part to be released . I have lanced the casing and washed again .. Has anyone experienced this occurring? And , is there a simple solution ?
It could be the casing of the dishwasher, its happened to me as well.I put pressure on the casing a few times and wash again.Hope this works
The casing on the tablet needs to melt off, releasing the powder. I have found that sometimes it doesn't do that on quick washes. It does not have contact with really hot water enough to melt the casing. If doing a quick wash then loose powder or liquid is best.
Cheers ..
excessive foam in dish washer
I havent had any problems with Fairy platinum tablet.Do you rinse your plates before putting them in dishwasher and do you use detergent? This could be one of the reason.
We only rinse really caked on food. No detergent just hot water. Try cutting tablet in half if there is too much foam.
How can I get rid of the chemical or soap smell from my dishes after using fairy platinum dishwasher tablets? Thanks in advance for your advice .
Rub a lemon on the plate and then rinse under cold water
Why on earth would anyone need to get rid of chemical smell from Fairy dishwasher tablets, when the toxic smell should not be there in the first place. I will never purchase Fairy products again. Complete waste of money IMO.
Is fairy platinum septic tank safe?
Which way do they go in the dishwasher. I have been putting the yellow & blue side face down and pushing so the the two prongs break into the liquid which leaves the powder on top. is this correct or should the powder side go face down onto the prongs ?
I always put it with colours up. I haven't had a problem but I have no idea whether or not it is correct.
I put them in facing up too.
I don't think there is a problem putting any side, because it drops into the washer.
I am pleased with the Fairy Platinum capsules but recently some of the dishes upon completion of the cycle are still wet. Should I use a Rinse aid to help dry the load?.
I find that leaving the door slightly open (about 20cm) or better so fully allows the dishes to dry naturally . To answer your question yes it does assist in drying. Also always google fairy dishwasher tablets many websites offer them even better thn the specials that supermarkets have.
