After taking the time to organise and plan around this appointment, the response I received was simply, “do you want to cancel?” which doesn’t address the problem at all.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first issue I’ve experienced with Fallons, and based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend their service.
Came to our place, sparkie started to upsell and made it conditional to change a small circuit breaker if I agreed to change the whole single phase switchboard for $7000. Following an explanation of the work to be done, Aidan left no trace of our 50 year old switchboard when he skillfully and efficiently replaced it. Aided by his apprentice, Nick, he tested the complete power installation and finally stressed the importance of periodic testing of the safety switches. were the only electricians available to attend to our dilemma at short notice. All other electricians were tied up for many months. With all their glossy brochures, discount for joining etc the salesperson after 10 minutes inspection, if that, came in and quoted $9251.66 for Underground Mains Upgrade – probably not needed. $554.62 to Supply and Install New Earth Stake – not broken. $3207.21 – Meter Box Upgrade and $969.52 to install a Surge Protector – again not needed or broken. As we were caught over a barrel, having no power, no other electricians available we were told that the new underground cabling needed to be fixed if we were to get our power retored. This I doubt was true, when the problem was a few loose cables at the top of a pole. The $9251.66 to fix this problem was, according to other electrians that we spoke to was probably 3 times more than what should be paid for this type of job. They also promised that they would help out with an Insurance Report, of course this did not come to fruition as they stressed, afterwards, that this was caused by wear and tear. We ended up paying around $9500 to get our power restored and had no luck with Insurance. Thank you, Fallon Solutions, there goes most part of our Inheritance.

Fallons charged $432 to supply and replace a $28 3-gang light switch. They were here for about 35 minutes: 10 minutes doing a quote, 5 minutes testing the powerboard trip switches, 15 minutes changing over the switch and 5 minutes waiting while I booted up the computer to pay the bill. Given the high cost of labour and materials, it is still difficult to see this as anything but a gross overcharge.

Paid $470 for a switch to be replaced, rang twice and explained that dimmer switch needs to be replaced. Person came with no replacement switch, he had to go away to get it, came back, replaced it. it is not just once off. Absolutely disgusting service and craftsmanship. Stay away from any parts of this fraudulent business and tradesmen. They've responded to this review with a promise to contact and rectify the issue, however failed to get back to us and the lights/switch are still not working since Friday last week.

Due to cyclone Alfred, my elderly mother was advised to turn off her solar panels and inverter, but they would not turn on again afterwards. Mum is 85 and she told the technician while he was still on site to proceed. She rang me to tell me of her plan of action and I asked to speak to the technician on her phone. I told him that we would not be proceeding, and he left…. Charging Mum the $190. I rang another company and got a replacement quote of $3800. Mum got a second electrician to come and look at her system and he fixed the whole system within an hour with a call out charge of $150. If we had listened to the advice from Fallon, Mum would have been out of pocket many thousands of dollars AND lost her Feed In Tariff of 49c.

about two hours, messing around with the antennae outlet, and in the end we had no free to air channels. What did he do to fix it? Nothing, he just left, but not before demanding to be paid. We paid the original quote because we didn't have a revised one, expecting to get a refund for work not done. After three weeks of wrangling, they grudgingly gave us back $250, about half the amount we were owed. We were not happy. We contacted a 'real' antennae technician afterwards, who came and replaced the antennae outlet in about 15 minutes, because he knew what he was doing. We now have umpteen channels. We recently had a problem with a leaking pipe, we contacted a plumber who came straight away, fixed the problem, and have just sent us a Christmas card with a $50 redemption if we use them again. Comparing our experience with Fallon, with the last two trademen we've used - they couldn't be further apart. How differently we were treated, the quality of the service provided, the cost, and the after sales service from the last two tradespeople we have used have been nothing short of amazing. We would never use Fallon Solutions again. Ever.

Do not trust FALLON SOLUTIONS quotes they overloaded – I paid $21,000 to upgrade my poorly installed dollar panels and to rewire the meter box and fuses. It is now overloading and fuses switching off. They refuse to service because I abused them when they tried to charge $1660 for an hour of labour plumbing with $150 materials. up the down lights. Another successful job. They may not be the cheapest quote but they arrive when they say they will- usually within a couple of days of me contacting them. They are polite and set all the things they will be doing in writing and they clean up after they are finished. I have used their tradies many times in the last 6 months and will continue to call them when needed.
Would recommend 100% – We had Brock come out and quote us for an installation of 2 x outdoor power sockets.
