taken it out three times and now told not their problem it is our problem to fix. After sales care has been very poor, having to use a different phone to get anyone to answer. Not even sure how much it will cost to get this repaired but for now I have a van I cannot use with no power supply and a no care attitude from supplier. is incredible, the solar setup is fantastic, and the water carrying capacity is more than enough for longer off-grid stays. We also requested a seating layout change, which the team accommodated without any issues at all.
Yes, there was an exciting wait while the van was being built, and yes, parts of the process begin in China — but realistically, so much does these days. The final work and fit-out completed in Melbourne was handled by a great team.
Like any caravan, we did have a few minor issues arise after delivery — a couple of loose screws and small things any capable person could fix — but what truly stood out to us was the after-sales service and warranty support from the Melbourne Fantasy team.
We dropped the van off for warranty work and within two weeks not only had every item on our list been fixed, but they had also gone over the van thoroughly and repaired additional things they found themselves.
This is our second caravan, coming from a different brand previously, and I can honestly say the service from Fantasy Caravans has been the best we’ve experienced in Australia in a very long time.
We cannot recommend Fantasy Caravans highly enough.

promptly answered all my queries. Handover of the van was on 30/05/2025 and I have yet to take my first trip. However, it towed easily on my Subaru Outback which has a towing capacity of 2 tonne. Since handover, I have had a number of queries which, as previously, were answered promptly. I had a number of extras fitted to the van and unlike my experience with some other companies, I felt that I was not over-charged for these extras. All manuals were handed over and cover most items. However, there was no “Fantasy” manual covering items such as care, maintenance and servicing. The handover process was very thorough and covered all areas of the van. Fantasy, Pakenham do offer servicing but at normal servicing cost. The manager has a lot of experience which he passes onto staff but all my dealings were with Chantelle who was excellent. The overall quality/finish of the van is very good.

Terrible – Caravan had electrical issues which were non-compliant with Australian Standards as per AS/NZS 3001:2008 and AS/NZS3000:2018. plus we had water leakage in the GPO. We also took our van to Fantasy for warranty claims, and not only did they fail to fix most of the issues, they returned our van with ADDITIONAL issues - such as a hole saw drilled straight into the chassis (resulting in loss of structural integrity of the van).
We have also since obtained the Certificate of Electrical Safety from Energy Safe Victoria which shows the details of the licensed electrician who signed off our the safety of our van...however, I'm very confused as to how the certificate was completed almost 1 month AFTER we took possession of our van... Does this mean that Fantasy Caravans have dodgy electricians signing off on dangerous electrical work?
I know in my gut that we are in the right, and I know what our rights are. I hope no one else has to go through this and I urge you all to avoid this manufacturer.
The dealership we have gone through are refusing to resolve our issues before VCAT on the basis that Fantasy are refusing to compensate them... so I'm caught in the middle. I'm out of pocket thousands and thousands of dollars, I'm extremely overwhelmed and stressed BUT I refuse to let anyone else go through this.

As soon as we stepped foot into the van where stocked * big oil stain on the mattress * half the cabinet doors didn’t open, broken kitchen draw runner * large random holes drilled through the floor not sealed * large gaps between the floor and the walls not sealed The grey water pipe hanging down so low any speed bump would hit it and any solids down the drain like sand or food would block the pipe instantly. * brake cable pressed hard into the main water pipes and drain. So every bump in the road would pull the brakes on, and cut through the water pipes * interior electrical conduit used under the van so main wires exposed to the elements This was only in the first 10mins of looking at this new $54000 caravan… I was told I was overreacting and if I canceled I would lose my deposit. If this is acceptable condition for a brand new van? I have zero trust in what they would call warranty..

Great value for money and the layout suits us perfectly – Purchased our FE 16A approx 1 year ago. The layout was exactly what we wanted with the galley style kitchen and the fixed bed (7cm wider than a king). Great value for money being $8k cheaper than similar vans. I have done a fair few mods to personalize it, but they would have been the same on any of the competitors vans. Been used heaps, with a few river crossings and flatter 4wd tracks. My Fantasy, love it – We've had our Fantasy caravan F3s since 2020. Had a couple of teething problems to start with, it was our first van. Have upgraded the solar and placed an inverter in as well. We have been on some lovely holidays. Now we enjoy the caravanning life style so much, we are going around Australia for 18 months. So we will up grade to an 18.6 van. Think I will miss my little Fantasy. It been a great van.

Very good service (Hardy Cui) – I brought an ex-demo F3S-L van (picked up in end July 2023). Very good service from Hardy Cui. He always returned calls. The van towed very well on freeways (@100kph) as well as over a 6k steep winding down hill roads. Very impressed by the water proofing. The van held up very well throughout the recent Vic down pour at NW Vic at Porepunkah (estimated 120-150 mm rain over a 2 day period, based on nearby weather station data). Show details

equipment was very impressive and the putting up of the annexe was initially difficult but only because of unfamiliarity. One year on, and the van was sent back to Rockingham with a number of warranty issues. They were:- interior ceiling lights were water damaged, the TV did not turn on, the front light intermittently worked and the vans entertainment unit had stopped working. All issues were resolved with a minimum of fuss and the van was ready to pick up the same day. We are preparing next year to do the lap of Oz and feel very confident the van will do it flawlessly and effortlessly.

I rang Dandenong office for warranty claim and they send me instructions how to process. I brought the van to there shop in Cheltenham and left if there for a day.
The staff are very helpful and they quickly fixed the issues. They even taight me some quick trouble shooting.
We love our van, the kids love their bunk beds and recently i installed a diesel heater and its so nice duringbthis cold weather camping.

6 months use, they've given up all support, a good topper doesn't seem to make much difference. Apart from finding a couple of screws on the floor after tackling some 4x4 tracks, it seems to be holding up well. So far the solar is great but I do have extra solar so the Van can be parked under shade on hot days,underbed aircon works well with the larger awning keeping the sun off 2 sides. I will be heading across the Tanamai soon so this may increase/decrease my review rating.

horrendous. Back and forth with emails since April 2021 and now we are in mid Feb 2022 with issues. We just want our van fixed. We have done everything asked by Fantasy and still waiting. I’m sick of the excuses it is not acceptable to run a business like this. Issues with this van included sagged suspension, side wall warping and popped out, carpet lining is now coming away, fridge supplied stopped working etc. Also still waiting for my missing shower tent.
I would really stay clear from cheap Chinese imported vans. Should of spent the extra money and purchased Australian made.

At 9:00 am I been on Address: 7 Melaleuca Drive Cheltenham VIC 3192 where they have a workshop and do service for Fantasy Caravans. I met with Mike, the person who with his expertise and knowledge checked everything on my Caravan. After 2 hours I was ready to pick up my Caravan .
Thanks to Mike, who gives me a lot of advice and show me in detail how I should drive Caravan, and take care of my caravan.
I like to recommend this company which does a great job of looking after their clients.

the many coastline dirt roads in Western Australia. Nothing stopped working or fell to pieces. The annex is easy to put up once you have worked it out - but there are you tube videos to help with that. It comes with all the bells and whistles but at a much more affordable price than most vans of this standard. The only down side is the weight, which is heavier than stated. Other than that, this 2018 caravan is as tough as you will need to conquer the harsh Australian outback. Our experience has only been a positive one.

poles removed! That's equivalent of it's ATM. It is only 13ft long but weighs more than my Hilux...!!! Furthermore it tows like an absolute pig which is ro be expected when 150kg of batteries, 2 water tanks, 2x BIG spare tyres and the kitchen are mounted behind the single axle! Safe too say it failed its Roadworthy and I am currently dealing with Dept of Consumer Affairs as Fantasy are not talking. Also there has been no gas compliance conducted.
It has been 3 weeks since my brand new expensive caravan has been delivered and no one at fantasy seems to care that it is unroadworthy. The stress and emotional toll on me and my family is not worth it. So I'll fix it and looks like we are off to court, along with a lot of other Fantasy Caravan owners.
Do not bother with this mob, go to MDC or Austrack. Atleast they empathise with the young aussie family and try to help.
Please reconsider about dealing with Fantasy Caravan. Read the reviews, this is not a one off, we are one of many customers that are having unresolved issues. They need to be shut down.
