I really believe the quality taste is amazing It’s just a bit hard to juggle delivery times as we all work and cannot take a day off fir a meat delivery Maybe an more accurate time slot to meet the individual needs

Really happy with the taste, quality and value of our Farmer Butcher order. Everything was individually wrapped, which we really appreciated, and we would definitely buy again. The delivery could have been better. Our five boxes were left at the caravan park reception instead of being delivered to our cabin

my Farmer Butcher box was... It’s DELICIOUS! Tasty, tender, grass-fed beef … cooks beautifully!! I could never cook supermarket beef like this! Also, there is the option to have it cryopacked into portions. Perfect for busy people! No having to repackage them myself. Love supporting our Aussie farmers direct!

Ordered 30ks and got 22.49kgs ([Content Removed] 7.5kgs of meat) I ordered 1/8th of a cow. You'd assume it would be 1/8th of a rump, 1/8th of a brisket, 1/8th of the ribs, 1/8th of new york, 1/8th of scotch fillet, 1/8th of t bone. No... it's a two of each kind of steak and they fill the rest with fatty mince and sausages. The guy who runs this… Read more

website forgot to send my order to the farmer (Primal Beef Co), had to wait 2 months.

No apology or discount.

You can bypass this marketing guy & Go direct to farms. Primal Beef Co are the ones who actually sent me less than i ordered. Primal Beef Co is what was on the documentation from my order.

This is just a marketing website who makes about [Content Removed] on top of what the farms sell it for.

I ordered in early February. Order arrived on April 5th. I had to call them to complain about 25 days ago to ask where my meat was and the marketing guy forgot to send it to the farm.

1/8th of a cow. Cost me around $545 including postage and packaging. On the actual farmers website he has the same pack available for $320.

The farmerbutcher guy never tried to give me any refund of the difference or say sorry. He just said "oh i'll get the farmer to contact you". his website T's&C's basically wipes his hands of any responsability after he takes your dollars. I'm sure if you went to fair trading his T's&C's wouldnt hold up. You dont get to take money with zero responsibility. His website is selling goods. Thats like a builder subcontracting work to plumber, the builder has the contract with the end consumer, not the plumber, therefore the builder carries the liability of the plumbers work if the plumber dissapears, because the client had the deal with the builder, not the subcontractor. Therefore FarmerButcher is liable for order errors, not the subcontracted farmer. But he will try and absolve himself of responsibility by what he wrote on his website. Unfortunately buddy.. your made up rules dont override laws.

My order was supposed to have: • Tbone Steaks • rib steaksSteaks • Scotch Fillets • Rump Steaks • Blade Steaks • Diced Beef • BBQ Steaks • Blade Steaks (bone in) • Stewing Steaks • Osso Bucco • Premium Beef Mince • Trays of Beef Sausages • Rolled Roast • Silverside • Brisket • Eye fillet

Here's what was MISSING from my order

- Eye fillet - Rolled Roast - BBQ Steaks - Stewing Steaks

The "Premium been mince" is about 50% fat. I'd hardly call that premium. I think thats more fat than the low grade mince from coles. The sausages are very light coloured. They must be around 80% fat. They look like the cheap sausages from coles. They look nothing like good beef sausages you see in the local butcher.

The steaks are very thin also.

Just a bag of bones - 1.28kg Just a bag of tallow Fat - 1.24kg 2 tbone - 0.984kg 2 round - 0.645kg 2 ybone - 1.09kg 1 brisket - 0.835kg Beef Ribs - 1.16kg Topside - 0.824kg Silverside - 1kg Diced beef - 1.09kg 2x scotch fillets - 0.536kg 2x rump - 0.85kg 2x osso bucco - 0.92kg 2x blade - 0.95kg 50% fat mince - 3.75kg 50% fat sausages - 5.34kg Total Weight - 22.494kg Total Cost - $545 Per Kilo - $24.2286832

If you remove the block of beef fat and the bones that you wouldnt normally buy. Then the cost per kilo is $27.28/kg.

If you remove say 4kgs for the extra fat they stuffed into the sausages and the mince to make the order heavier, you're up to $36/kg !!

(You may as well go to your quality local butcher and choose your cuts in person)

A few weeks ago I got a full Scotch Fillet from my local butcher for $30 a kg (they had a special running) and cut it into 14x 15-20mm thick steaks (this is thicker than the scotch fillet I got from Primal Beef Co).

I attached some photos (and i have a video that I'm trying to compress to upload later) of what I received for my $545 two months after my order was made on their website.

We’re so happy we found this! We’ve tried other online services before, but their prices were higher than our local Butcher, Coles, and Woolworths. These guys are not only cheaper but the quality is incredible—the meat has been amazing! We just received our first pack over the weekend and are about to place another order today.

I recently ordered from Farmer Butcher, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best experiences I’ve ever had buying meat online. From start to finish, everything ran smoothly and felt really personal — like you’re dealing directly with the farmer, not some big faceless company. I ordered a mixed box that included grass-fed beef, lamb, and… Read more

free-range pork. Every cut was beautifully packed, clearly labelled, and arrived fresh and chilled, exactly as promised. You can tell the meat is top-notch — rich in colour, tender, and full of flavour. It’s the kind of quality you just don’t get from supermarket meat. The beef had that clean, natural taste that only comes from well-raised cattle, and the lamb chops were some of the best I’ve ever cooked.

Delivery was right on time, and I got text and email updates at every step of the way, so I knew exactly when my box was leaving the farm and when it would hit my doorstep. Everything arrived perfectly chilled, even though it was a warm day, thanks to the sturdy insulated packaging.

What really stood out was the sense of connection — you can trace every product back to the farm it came from. It makes you feel good knowing your money is going directly to Aussie farmers who genuinely care about animal welfare and sustainability.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier. Farmer Butcher delivers on its promise: premium, ethically produced meat, great communication, and top-tier service. I’ll definitely be ordering again — it’s farm-fresh, reliable, and worth every cent.

Farmer Butcher has agreed to send product from another farm, please delete my previous review, They are trying very hard to put things right and were badly let down by one of the suppliers.

supplied. I did not order any sausages and mince and feel very cheated in what was not a small or inexpensive purchase. To make matters worse both email addresses for farmer butcher are blocked for replies. Farmer butcher advertises for complaints and feedback to be made internally and without public view however fail to provide a mechanism to do so.

I await your reply and corrective actions

Thanks for your reply, I accept the fact that half a cow will include mince and sausages, my complaint is more to do with managing customer expectations throughout the order process. Perhaps your order process should be very clear about exactly what will be supplied when ordering half a cow. I am not asking for a refund however will be unlikely to return.

Follow-up  · All cuts of meat were supplied, some in very very small quantities (for example 800gram eye fillet). The order process depicts wonderfully generous portions of whole cuts sliced, whole or roast, however the reality in my case was small cuts, less weight with sausages and mince to fill the promised order weight. Contacting farmer butcher for complaints or feedback is not possible outside of Facebook or product review as far as I can tell.

This was my first time ordering from Farmer Butcher, and I honestly could not be happier with the whole experience. fresh and handled properly.

The value is undeniable when you consider the quality of the meat you are receiving. This is not supermarket meat filled with excess water or lacking flavour. The difference was noticeable from the very first meal. When I cooked the mince, there was no pool of water left in the pan like I often get with supermarket mince. The texture was better, the flavour was richer, and the overall quality was on another level.

I also love knowing that my money is supporting Australian farmers rather than going straight to the major supermarket chains. That alone makes the purchase feel worthwhile.

For someone living alone, a bulk order may be easier to share with family or friends, but for families, the value works out incredibly well. Better meat, better flavour, reliable delivery and a great cause behind it. I will definitely be ordering again.

quality, care, and ethical farming take time.

Yes, our order took a little longer than expected, and we waited close to two weeks, but understanding the process completely changed our perspective. This isn’t supermarket meat pulled straight off a shelf or processed through a rushed supply chain. The farmers are carefully allocating your order to an animal that was still roaming freely in the paddock. That level of freshness, care, and respect for the animal is something you simply cannot replicate in mass production.

And honestly, the reward for waiting was phenomenal. The tenderness, texture, flavour, and richness of the meat were unlike anything we’ve experienced before. You can genuinely taste the love, dedication, and hard work that has gone into raising these animals the right way — naturally, ethically, and with respect for both the land and the livestock.

Farmer Butcher is more than just buying meat online; it’s supporting real Australian families, real farmers, and a better future for food. We’ll absolutely continue supporting this incredible mission.

13/07/26 - I bought whole "Cowra" lamb. I noticed that one of the meats is stamped as BRM lamb. This processing facility is in Perth. Bit suspicious that the meat I bought advertised as Cowra lamb is not actually from Cowra. I was also told and as is advertised that the meat is processed by WM Meats who also have a farm. The plot thickens. You… Read more

would logically expect Cowra lamb to actually be from the Cowra area, processed by one facility and as close as possible and ideally within Cowra. I have emailed [Name Removed] about it but seems to have gone incognito on me. Also, I understand that all meat items sold are accurately described before buying, but what I don't get is why we are only given two shanks when the animal has four legs. Also, why can't we get the offal. There's also no lamb backstrap. Seems like they are double dipping and making money off some of the parts that we should be getting when buying a so called WHOLE lamb...

UPDATE - After speaking with Matt from WM Meats he explained away all of my concerns and am satisfied with what I was told.

22/02/26 - Great meat! Takes too long to get the meat. Took 3 weeks for my order. And poor communication to boot regarding the order from start to delivery. Instructions in notes not followed at all. Courier dropped off the meat outside of scheduled delivery times and didn’t ring door bell to notify. No sms notification or proper tracking provided. Now trying to order 10 kilos of mince and [Name Removed] who seems to be the owner of the business has gone all silent on me.

What I loved about my Farmer Butcher box was that it was delivered quicker than previous orders. I regularly order meat from this business because they do not add hormones or vaccines, and their seafood is wild-caught, not captive grown.

My experience in dealing with [Name Removed] at Farmer Butchery has been appalling- at the level of Telstra. Cedar Creek. Today is 11 May and I have still not received it. I ordered it back in March as I had a family function on the weekend of 9th May. Two weeks out from the state I was in contact with [Name Removed] who informed me that the meat would be arriving last week. On about 4thMay no tracking details had been provided and I contacted [Name Removed] again to find out what was happening. I told him that the Family function was happening and I needed the meat otherwise we were in trouble. [Name Removed] naturally did not respond to me until I received a generic email on 10 May. No apologies were given for ruining the family function due to not having the meat. [Name Removed] only provided an email to contact the wholesalers directly. As at 11 May, I’ve still not received the meat and no details about when it is going to arrive. The customer service is almost non-existent. I’m happy to provide details that I actually made an order and all email correspondence from [Name Removed] outlining the dates of delivery etc that were not adhered to. I asked for a refund on two occasions and got no response to that. I said to [Name Removed] that if he could not deliver, let me know so that I can make alternative arrangements but got no response to that either. I came on this site to offer a review as there seems to be no phone number to call or way to get around the poor service and lack of communication. Michael Donald

What I loved about my Farmer Butcher box was reasonably priced, convenient and excellent quality. What could be better next time: I was expecting lamb sausages in the pack, but did not receive any. Even though I requested the sausage ingredients several times there was no reply.
