Product Flavor Changed
I think the ingredients may have been modified and more pam oil added because the flavor isn't as chocolaty and creamy as it used to be. It has more of a greasy texture and taste more like the cheap chocolate with more palm oil fillers or some kind of chocolate substitute.
Got a large box of these as a birthday present from my mother. They say it's the thought that counts, really wish she hadn't thought of giving me these. They are sickly gross and have the texture and taste of the foil they are wrapped in. I gave one to her to see if it was just me, turns out that it wasn't. Even she said they were disgusting and had to spit it out into a napkin. Not her fault they can't make a nice chocolate treat.
Excellent Medium-bodied Chocolate
The nutty aromas of this chocolate will take you to the pristine alps of Italy. The layer of crushed hazelnuts leave a soft but bespoke oak intensity. Though being somewhat of a dry chocolate, the smooth and silky chocolate coating allows the sweet body of the chocolate to intensify with the astringent flavour of hazelnuts.
This is a highly commendable chocolate that deserves praise for its bold flavours and nutty aromas.
Usually amazing but very disappointed
So usually ferrero rocher are my favourite chocolates as they are so good but I ordered a box weighing 200g with 16 chocolates but unfortunately only received 7. Rather annoyed seeing as these were a Christmas present but cannot give as there is a low amount. Never expected this to happen, really annoyed.
My entire family loves this. I would hide this chocolate in the pantry as it seems to be the perfect cute dessert for every day. The crisp thin wafer, the nuts and the creamy chocolate inside is luscious and the sweetness is not so overpowering that a single serving would be enough to satiate my sweets cravings especially after meals.
Not A Good Golf Ball But, Tastes Bloody Great
I recently purchased a box of these Italian golf balls at Coles and my handicap was destroyed.
Usually, I get around the 18 hole Sea Changeville goat track in about 4 over par however, when I tried these Italian golf balls, I couldn't drive them more than 150 metres before they shattered, plus, they handle the green's poorly by wobbling all over the place and even melt on a hot day. Score = easily 180 over par.
So, thinking what other possible use they could be to me, I decided to eat one, two, three, four, five, six, seven - that was it.
I'm now convinced that Italians make great chocolate, it also explains why you rarely see a competing Italian golf professional !.
Texture now seems stale to me
These used to be my favourite chocolates, however for the last couple of years I have gone right off them. Every box I buy/get seem stale these days - the wafer inside them isn't as crisp as it used to be. It must be a change in the production of them because I haven't had a good one for years and have now given up on them altogether.
Just thinking of Ferrero Rocher and my mouth is watering. My absolute favourite chocolate and is not allowed to cross my house hold door as it will disappear quickly into my mouth. the hazelnut cream inside is just to die for. Unfortunately the calorie count for one is quiet high. This sweet is not cheap and is a more a treat than a regular. With it different packaging it is a greta gift idea and most welcome by most of my friends. Only the ones on diet will not welcome it. If you need a gift but don't know what to buy with this you won't go wrong.
Ferrero Rocher are the most irresistible chocolates around. If you don't like hazelnuts then you wont like these chocolates. They are spherical in shape and have many layers. Right in the centre is a whole hazel nut which is covered by a hazelnut cream that tastes similar to nutella. It is then encased in a wafer cover. The top layer is milk chocolate covering with crushed hazelnuts mixed in it. The different textures through the layers make this chocolate a delight to eat. Full hazelnut flavour throughout. The chocolates are wrapped in a gold coloured foil and look very expensive. They are available in a range of sized boxes. Available from all good supermarkets. Higher priced chocolate.

an expensive looking choclate that isnt expensive at all..can eb enjoyed by yourself or given in a hamper. has a beautiful texture and taste, definately a chocolate that every househole should have at least 6 times a year
i just love these...soft choclate surrounding a think biscuit shell with a beautiful hazelnut hidden within...easy to open wrapping and is a great inclusion in hampers or jsut to say thankyou. comes in variety of sizes from 3 in a packet to a large plastic box. not expensive yet looks classy with its gold wrapping, available at supermarkets and other arge chain stores like bog w

These are so tasty because there is so much going on in them. They have the crisp outer layer, the smooth chocolate inside and then the hazelnut centre. I love it all. I think they can make up part of a gift hamper for someone special.
How exquisite are these!! I can just sit back and carefully take them out of the tissue cup and slowly peel open the outer gold wrapping and delicately slowly eat one and just go into another world. They are the ultimate chocolate treat for me because they are so sinfully rich and yummy!
They are too rich and if I eat a couple of them, I can feel sick. They are expensive, even when they are on sale. Can they make a lighter version, I can always dream cant I?
Made by the same company that produces Nutella, so you know it's a delicious hazelnut treat. However, it is too expensive and it is more of a gift rather than an individual treat. I also found that I lose interest in them over time, and have mainly switched over to Lindt now.
Delicious. Makes a great gift, very much like Lindt products. Attractive design and attractive looking chocolate.
Expensive. Also, if you have too many you will eventually get sick of them. I think it's the hazelnut content, but I find myself losing interest in these chocolates over the years.
