Overpriced piece of JUNK – The worst piece of junk ever made . Chinese quality at European price. Expensive , poorly designed and engineered waste of space in my kitchen. Fully integrated and expensive to remove and take to the tip. 3 years old and totally useless . The service is non existant. DO NOT BUY Show details

Noisy with quality issues – This is without a doubt the worst fridge I have ever owned; mostly because of the incredibly obnoxious noise it makes, but there have been multiple quality issues too. I now have experience with four different instances of this model, three in my previous home and one in my current one. In general the fridge is unpleasantly loud, but the biggest… Read more

problem is that all four have made a high frequency sound that if you can hear it (not everyone can, it seems) is particularly unbearable. For me it is audible even at the furthest point in the living room, even with music playing or the TV on. The noise is not constant but can happen several times a day and for over an hour at a time.

Other problems I’ve experienced with this fridge: the first had a sticky freezer drawer that wouldn’t close smoothly and necessitated a couple of visits from a technician and a long wait for a replacement part before it was fixed. The second had a faulty fan housing, which caused a loud rattling noise, more technician visits and another lengthy wait for the replacement part. The third made nearly constant gurgling noises until a technician wrapped additional sound proofing material around an internal component.

Fisher and Paykel replaced the fridge in my previous apartment twice. The first time (despite expressing my reservations over the phone to the call centre) they insisted the delivery guys would be able to remove and replace an integrated fridge. Turns out they could not and were forced to retreat and return another day with a technician. Even the technician did not have the skills to fit the doors properly - in the end I tracked down the cabinet maker who installed the original fridge and paid him to adjust the doors. Unfortunately due to the cabinetry design it was not possible to fit any other fridge in the space. The noise issue was unresolved when I moved out and by that point it was clear that Fisher and Paykel were prepared to do no more to resolve it.

My new home has the same fridge installed (I purchased too close to completion to have it changed) and it became apparent the first evening that it has the same noise issue. It will be expensive and involve a crane to remove this fridge and replace it with something else. But that is still preferable to living with the noise.

Freezer frosts over and draw first close properly – Already had a technician out. Now on a 2 week wait list for another appointment. He said the tracks on this model have problems but this is the only intergrated fridge I could buy in Australia. It was $5500!!!!! Freezer should frost over their is a complete closing problem. We have to push our knee into the right hand side of the draw for it to work. I hope we get a replacement Instead of a technician every few weeks to tinker with the tracks. Show details

Not recommended - worse than my old cheap fridges – Doors always need a push to close, especially the freezer door which would stay slightly open when not slammed. I'm not used to this as all my previous fridges have self-closing doors (slowly swinging and closing itself). I feel like going backwards with this F&P one. So ironic when it's 4x the price of my old ones! Hard to clean the freezer… Read more

drawer. Inner space is also a lot smaller than how big it looks on the outside. Such waste. If I had the choice, I would not buy it. Unfortunately it came with the property I purchased.

Poor - Brand new never been used, Freezer doesnt work – Our Integrated French Door RF90A1 fridge installed within the past fortnight. We choose F&P's top of the range option as it presented much better value than the Miele option. We have, however, had some basic functionality issues immediately. The freezer compartment has stopped working unfortunately and needs repair or entire fridge replacement… Read more

(not a small feat as it's built into the cabinetry). The fridge looks great integrated into our newly installed kitchen - just make sure your kitchen building x-checks all door panel dimensions so it fits seamlessly Self-closing doors are excellent. They feel solid, yet closely quietly. Cannot hear the fridge motor - whisper quiet. Just what you need in an open living plan. If they can ensure reliability with the standard function ie freezer, you'll have a great unit.

Ice and water only available in s/s panels – As previously stated , ice and water " only available in stainless steel front panels " . Even supplied our cabinet maker with ice and water panel to try to fit it to cabinetry but alas could not remove it without breaking it , so now we have a expensive fridge / freezer with no ice or water capability . This should be stated in the specifications and not imply that " custom panels will suit.  Show details

Looks good and works – Ok, so this is not a cheap fridge, but we designed our kitchen around it and i'm extremely happy that we did. It looks awesome and sits flush with the cabinetry with no gaps around the edges. We have the stainless steel doors, but it can be fitted with cabinetry door instead if desired. The ice and water is "only" available with the stainless… Read more

doors, but I can't see why a semi-decent cabinet maker couldn't create a door with the hole in it - maybe that's something that F&P could look into as an improvement.

It's quiet, it cools evenly, it does what a fridge is supposed to do.

Handsome refrigerator that performs as expected! – We've been using our F&P french door integrated refrigerator for 7mth now. It keeps a good even temp- no freezing spots and no milk going off too early. It looks amazing fully integrated. Good size for a family of 4. Very quiet operation- we don't hear it. Really happy, would recommend for looks and function.  Show details
