Been a GREAT work horse, and now is a back up fridge to my NEW Samsung – I have had my Fisher & Paykel E3728 from NEW for 14 years. It has NEVER missed a beat, and now that F&P are not New Zealand, have changed to a NEW Samsung. Has been a GREAT workhorse, and still use it as a back up fridge. Show details

Great + love the freezer drawers – This fridge has been a welcome addition in my household. The temperature can be adjusted on the inside, however be careful with placing it on the highest setting as this will freeze items that are placed in the back part of the fridge. The freezer drawers have castors which make it easy to slide the drawers in and out even if it's filled to the brim. Overall very impressed.  Show details

Solid, reliable, efficient – This is my second F&P bottom freezer fridge of this size. The first one lasted 15 years, and was starting to make unpleasant noises. I had no hesitation in buying another F&P. The layout hasn't changed much from the previous model. Energy usage is about half of the previous model (yes, I did measure it!) Quiet, keeps a constant temperature.  Show details

Adequate & good value – I had a smallish cavity in my kitchen for a fridge. For its price range this fridge does a perfectly adequate job of keeping my foods chilled. The shelf heights are adjustable (there are several groves on the sides of the inside where you can adjust the placement). It has several programmable functions - like express (wine) bottle chiller and… Read more

timer alerts. It will also give you a warning beep if the doors have been left open for a certain length of time.

Pros: quiet, spacious, good value for money (and energy efficient: according to the manufacturers' specifications, haven't really noticed the energy bill going up compared to the previous fridge).

Cons: wish it were slightly bigger, but this is more about the size that I was able to buy. The freezer drawers don't extend very far out; however, this is probably more to do with guaranteeing that they don't slip out of the track when they are filled with groceries.

Has been great till now – I bought this fridge 2nd hand paid $550 7 years ago. Has always wen a bit clunky with the fan but worked well until last week where temp gauge began flashing red in freezer zone. No amount of upping the chill would work - an alarm sounds very loud and non stop which has been tricky for my neighbors as in a flat. As of today fridge not working as… Read more

I'm searching for a replacement.

I do think I got a good run out of it and if I could afford a new one like this I'd buy it.

So far very good – No problems so far - only a couple of months - and I am more than pleased with the design and quiet functioning of this fridge.

Fisher & Paykel E372B – I've been using the fridge for 10 years. Not bad, On the first year, the problem was the fridge part is not cooling. It was fix under warranty. Now,the control temperature button is flashing red and the fan is really noisy. Though the freezer still working, fridge is not cooling. Most of the time you will hear an alarming noise at the temperature… Read more

control button. I rang the Fisher and Paykel and they say most likely electronics. I reckon its time to say goodbye.

EXCELLENT AND QUIET – F&P makes a great fridge. This model has lasted us for over 5 years and I'm surprised by the reviews regarding the noise. Our fridge is quiet and in a studio area near our bed. I wonder if previous reviewers have simply not got their fridge levelled properly. Very happy with the compartments both in fridge and freezer and suits our family of four in a compact area. suits our compact area and great compartments and reliable and not noisy

So noisy – This has to be the noisiest fridge i've owned. Would definitely not recommend it. It rattles and vibrates, had to have fan replaced, but now it's playing up again. I wish i hadn't spent the money getting it fixed now, as it had always been noisy, and now it's time to say goodbye. Looks, and design. Noisy, not reliable.

2 minded about this fridge! – It's compact but very roomy inside and can fit a lot. Bottom freezer makes perfect sense! However, it's a really noisy fridge! When I frost bought it for a month, I ring their warranty to complain noise, the staff pretty much say no can do, the noise is part of the fridge! I don't get that sudden loud noise other reviewer say. But a contiunous… Read more

loud humming noise, so loud that u need to turn your TV up, and if it's a hot day, can last 1 -2 hours! Stop for a short time and will do it again! So I love the internal compartment design of the fridge, but not sure I want to put up with the constant noise! Great compact design, great drawer design. Don't agree with others about plastic drawer easy to break. We had it for 7 years and not even a tiny crack. If people complain about it being flimsy, can only imagine them being rough The only downfall- constant loud humming nosie is enough to turn me off getting another F&P. The whole house can hear it! My parents had a 20 year old fridge, and hardly make as much noise!

Excellent – I've had mine now for about 7 years. Re: the popping sound/noise, I have found out from sales reps of different brands that "modern fridges" do that now, because instead of using power-wasting heating elements to defrost, they make use of the compressor's heat. Only one problem -- when it was 5 years old, a beeping error was emitted. The freezer… Read more ·  1

fan was inoperative. F&P technician fixed it quickly and didn't cost much -- $120 all-up ($55 for a new fan). The fan itself wasn't the problem, the wiring harness solder broke. Too deep in to re-solder. I'm happy with the fridge. I just hope that 7 years on, F&P has figured out a way to not have that loud popping sound when defrosting. Very usable space -- the fridge is wide AND deep. Freezer is equally roomy. Makes a loud noise when the defrost cycle starts. At first I thought someone was breaking into my flat. Or, something's gone horribly amiss.

Bad – In the first six months of ownership, one veggie bin has cracked and the butter holder went the same way as well. Don't get me started on defrosting and the associated noises that emit from this Frankinstein appliance, I just want to store my food safely. Is that to much to ask? That its a fridge. That it scares people when its defrosting.

Not the best value – This is a fridge that is ok but not the best value. Best consider the asian products that are better value and more stylish and as reliable. I have been buying F P for some time and now has switched to Samsung. No regrets and saving me a couple of bucks

Excellent – I've had this fridge for 2 years and I really like. I have read some of the complaints of the larger versions of this model and they either don't exist in this model or I've been very lucky so far. This is the smallest upside down fridge from this maker which means no bending over everytime to open the fridge. The freezer is also bigger compared… Read more
