Controller will need replacing, if done so, just make sure you have the right controller as that model came out as a SD11 2002 to 3, then 2004 to 5 they came out as a SD12 board.
Hi I have a f&p modelling mw511 went to turn on washing machine panel shows 2 lights on after long wash and red for spin beeping wot wud be the cause of that
I don't know specifically about your machine, Ruby, but we had a very old 6kg F&P and when the lights malfunctioned and beeps sounded it was the computer works broken down. We could have had it replaced for about $300 but decided to put that towards a new machine. I would suggest you call F&P and they will probably send out a technician to identify the problem. If your machine is still under warranty should not cost you anything to fix, if not, the tech will quote a fee to fix it.
The 8 lights display an error code in binary. There are videos on YouTube that show you how to read the error code.
My mw511 makes a noise almost like a bearing noise when on rinse and spin, any ideas please.
Unless there is something else wrong with it, Craig, it's probably the same issue as with my new MW60 6kg which is the new pumps F&P are using. It is much noisier than the previous pumps they used. The technician who came out to check it under the warranty told us that it is more efficient and powerful than the older pumps but the downside is that it is very noisy, others have complained about it to him, too. I called F&P direct and they confirmed the loudness of the pump. We could not find a better machine in that size so we have decided to keep our new one and just get used to the louder rinse & spin cycles. Apart from that it seems to do an effective washing job. If yours is still under warranty you could request an F&P technician check it it over you - that should be at no cost to you.
Or it could be the bearings. There are 2 on the main shaft. You can buy a bearing kit for about 40 dollars. There are videos on youtube that show you how to replace the bearings.

Where does the display wiring plug into the control hub?
Spin and rinse cycle tries to start for a couple of seconds with agitator only spinning slowly .Water pumping out slowly in time with these surges. Other functions work normally. Would replacing main control board fix this problem?
Good morning, I bought this great washing machine for my mum 10 years ago, yep great machine, however when she starts the machine the water wont stop at the level line, it just continues to fill. Could you please advise what may be the issue. Many thanks Fiona
HI Fiona! I'm no technician or anything but as I understand it these machines use a pressure switch or something to detect the right level of water - it might be dodgy :( I think you might need to call someone to fix it :(Hope this helps!

Hi is the motor the type on the MW511 have a stator on the main shaft that I can make a wind turbine?

Answer is from Dale M - not me Bashar ....Quote -'The MW511 doesn't have a pump filter. You can remove the pump itself very easily and check for blockages. If the inlet to the pump is blocked then you need to take the bowl out to clear the inlet. Also make sure there is no blockage in the outlet hose'.... Hope this helps.

The MW511 doesn't have a pump filter. You can remove the pump itself very easily and check for blockages. If the inlet to the pump is blocked then you need to take the bowl out to clear the inlet. Also make sure there is no blockage in the outlet hose.
Hi my Fisher and Paykel won't spin when I fill it up to wash. It won't spin on rinse either. It has happened a few times so I jiggled the drum and it would work. Sadly this time it won't. Also two orange lights come on at the top and it beeps as well. Please help.

if it beeps 5 times in a rising tone, it has an error which can be diagnosed (you can probably find the manual at manualslib)- I have a similar issue where it won't spin dry but there is no error it just restarts the machine over and over.

My washer will start and stop dispensing water repeatedly for about 2 minutes before it stops and beeps with an error. It won’t spin or agitate during this time and I’ve tried turning it on with different settings (wash/rinse/spin/etc). It still drains water normally on that setting but will still stop after a minute or so. It worked fine 24hrs ago. Anyone come across this?
There may be a water leak near the circuit boards. Remove the control panel and look for water stains.

MW511, My laundry sink doesn't have a hot water valve connection on the tap but dont use hot water anyway, problem is when the machine is fulling up and partially through the first cycle water is coming out of the hot water inlet valve from the back of the machine. I've just hooked the hose up so that the excess water drains back to the sink, but its wasting water. Can anyone help?
You can get what's called a blanking cap which screws over the vale not being used. However it's always recommended that they both be connected. Hope this helps.
