Good washer, wish I'd bought a bigger one though
I have had good luck with Fisher Paykel appliances and this continues that good trend. It works fine for washing clothes 2-3 times a week.
Amazingly quiet, I have it on some thick foam washing machine feet and I don't even hear it when I'm just one wall away. It's also very stable, you can leave things on top of the washing machine and they don't fall off during the cycle. Cleaning it is very easy, it's got a drum clean cycle which takes just under 1 hour, and the pump filter is easy to access at the lower right behind a panel.
This "J" model...has a single inlet hose for cold water and an internal water heater, so it can do hot cycles up to 90 degrees. No need for hot water supply. One complaint: When washing towels and other large heavy items, it's easy for the drum to become unbalanced on the spin cycle. This results in the spin taking an extremely long time (hours) to complete, as the clothes eventually dry and become light enough to spin. I solve this by only washing 2 towels at a time, using the Quick 30 minute program. If you wash 4 big towels at once then you'll be pulling out two wet towels so the other two can spin. This overall problem of unbalanced spin is what leads to the inaccurate 8-12 minute timer that other reviews complain about. So I wish I had bought the heavier 8.5kg washer, I assume that would spin heavier loads easier.

Poor post-purchase support
I've had a Fisher & Paykel for 3 years and was working well up till now. The power board is broken. It costs $400 to purchase that part which is half the cost of it's original purchase. I gave F&P a call, with a wait time of 45 mins so I chose the call back option. They call me and then advise I need to go through to the care centre as they only have a phone number for the technician booking centre. That's another 10-15 minute wait on hold. The customer care agent took some details, put me on hold without telling me and then surprise surprise, ...I got disconnected. That's ok right, because I've given them all my details and they'll call me back. No chance. I call back and the wait time is now an hour. Just so they can call me back and put me through the care centre which is more waiting time. It's all good reviewing a product when you first purchase it, and the machine runs smoothly (of course, because it's new). But when something goes wrong, you want to ensure that they have strong customer service. An epic fail from F&P. Bing Lee are trying to assist because I'm out of options and done with calling and waiting for an hour each time. Since this post, I have been able to get a hold of a Fisher and Paykel account manager who apologised for their bad service. They have since fixed my machine (it took 3 weeks) at no cost as a gesture. They replaced the power board and the machine has been working beautifully. However, I went through allot of trouble and wasted time for this outcome.

Let’s wait and see
Having bought this machine just over 2 years ago was quite happy , seemed to wash well and very quiet , then one day while spinning sounded like a 747 taking off , after getting very frustrated with the text chat helpline I called , I believed it was the main bearing which had failed which is a major fault , they agreed to come and inspect the machine without their service charge ($130) which is extortion, on inspection the technician confirmed main bearing failure , within 10 minutes they were on the phone and offered me a free replacement mac...hine , as was a major failure , 6 days later new machine was delivered , next model up as mine was not in stock , even though my washer was out of warranty they still replaced , hopefully this one will last longer
Purchased for $600.00.
Glad my boat doesn't leak like this machine.
Over all we think that its a great machine that washes very well except that it started leaking 3 years after we bought it. Had Fisher and Paykel out twice to fix it at our expense, and was told they can't fix it. Was told that its a design fault and not a broken part. I would never purchase this brand again. Sadly we feel we have no choice but to buy another machine as the leaks are getting much worse.

Wish I hadn’t bought
Ok for normal clothes washing, but the spin cycle for washing bed linens or sometimes delicates is terrible, will spin for ever, have to take out items and spin them a few at a time to dry. Wish I had read the reviews before purchase, this is the worst washing machine I have ever owned. I will be glad once it breaks down so I have a good excuse to buy another brand.

Fantastic appliance!! 5 star
I love this appliance. We are a family of 5 to 6 and i use this oftentimes a week and I encountered no problems. The washing machine is super easy to operate and didn't gave me any problem!
2 year 2 weeks and needs help
Love my machine and worked well until warranty finished. Now awaiting service.
Let say after 80mins holding for a service call and still no answer I clicked the call back option and still haven’t had a call back! Disappointed with Fisher & Paykel customer centre - beyond a joke. How can a company run this way?
Will update review once we have a response but I would stay away from all F&P items due to their customer service call centre!!!!

I cant believe this has good reviews. I am replacing mine after 24 months brand new
I can't believe this has good reviews. I am replacing mine after 24 months brand new. Contacted fisher and paykel under warranty (1 month left) as it was not rinsing my clothes. The technician brazenly told me i may put too much washing detergent??? He then issued a report there were no issues found. A month later after warranty ended it kept happening. Now it's gotten to the point it would spin so loudly but not rinse clothes (comes out damp). We did not want to buy a new washing machine - how is a brand new (and branded) product that cost us ...$730.00 last for 36 months. They are designed to become faulty right after warranty ends - fact. Do the research. Fisher &paykel accepted no responsibility after your cash is with them. Do not buy this product. Technician advised no issues so mustn't have been faulty, must be a normal problem...

Need clothes washed, it works well
The machines on the market all seem to have features aimed at families with loads of washing. We wanted something basic for 2 people and simple to use to keep the cost down, but also a good brand to ensure it lasts.
-easy to use
-low noise and vibration
-delay timer to set to occur during the day
-The unit has sometimes decided to stop the cycle and we come home to find that it has 5 minutes left. ...

error in the machines program
My new Fisher and Paykel WH7560J washing machine will stay on spin cycle at 8 minutes remaining there for 12 minutes or more what ever I try hot / cold/ detergent/ no detergent/ loaded/ unloaded
I am using the Everyday cycle. This obviously is a error in the machines program that this company must be aware of , many complaints on the web all say 8 minuets remaining on spin cycle, fisher and Paykel used to be excellent now ,
PS quick cycle goes from rinse to spin in a minuet so the delay of 12 minuets is for ?

Good and reliable
I have used this washing machine for more than a year now, and it has been pretty reliable and good. It has various modes of washing and each of them has their own programmed settings and times. I used it twice a week and the digital screen with the timer really helps me in telling me how long will it take to finish the washing cycle. After finishing the cycles, it always sounds beep sounds, and it sounds pretty loud too.
Pros: Clean results, fast, reliable, easy-to-use, and very low noise! Compared to my previous washing machines, it is simply the quietest and produces less vibration, so it's really good!
Cons: Not easy to clean, quite expensive compared to its rivals
But overall, it's a pretty reliable and good washing machine.
Quick and simple and gets the job done!
In our household our loads of washing vary from sensitive office wear, stinky gym and school clothes to red dirt drenched tradie clothes and this machine has a wash cycle for each. In particular I don't dry clean some items that say I should but a gentle wash and hang on the clothes line has kept the quality and integrity of those more delicate items. I can't use another machine and in fact my dad has now purchased the same one on my recommendation and loves it!

The Most Amazing Washing Machine Ever
The Fisher & Paykel QuickSmart WH7560J3 (7.5kg) is the most amazing washing machine ever. I run Airbnb units and this thing never gets a rest. Load after load it works to perfection, it is the most reliable and best item I have ever bought that you can plug into a power point. I run this thing 7 days a week with 5 loads a day on average , I've had it for about 2 years and total fault free. I can't recommend this washing machine enough. To buy anything else in the 7.5kg range would be stupid. Thank you Fisher & Paykel for providing such a high quality and super reliable product and no I have no association with the company.
Purchased in April 2017.
The machine overall is fine but I feel it lacks less user control than my old top loader, which I only sold due to laundry reconfiguration. The timer is always incorrect. Eg. it showed 11 minutes remaining on spin cycle with no countdown for 8 minutes (I stood and timed it) so there is no way of seeing how long you have to wait for the washing to finish...if you need to leave the house for example. If the cycle is interrupted to go straight to spin it increases the amount of time left from whatever was showing on the time remaining gauge. Ther...e is no option between a wash of @ 30 minutes to 1 hour and 10 minutes. If you stop it manually from the longer time to the shorter time it sometimes just stays on the longer time anyway....unless you turn the whole machine off and reprogram it.

Questions & Answers
After moving house, reconnected washer and put a cycle on. Half way through got the message, Clr filter. Followed the instructions and restated the cycle. Got the same message, followed the instructions. Then did a spin cycle. Eventually the machine turned off (like it had finished) put another cycle on and got the same message. Any suggestions? Thank you
Why is this machine which I purchased 4 months ago putting small holes in my clothes? I see someone else has been having the same problem (Ben above 3 mths ago). Is it as PoodleLuva suggested because they are made in Asia and use cheap parts? As I am still under warranty I assume I can get a replacement machine.
