Fisher & Paykel WashSmart WA75T65GW1 (7.5kg) Questions & Answers
VerifiedLoved my F&p 7.5 rop loader, had it for 23 years with only one check up due to a small doyle getting suck, now you no longer make this model, am truely disappointed and will now need to buy the 7kg at a much higher price then my old machine, why ditch the 7.5, such a relieable work horse, I am also finding it hard to buy the 7kg model in Adelaide any help would be appreciated thank you.
what year is this as has a 10 year warranty on motor and it will not spin or empty water burning smell
Most likely has a blockage it won’t spin unless the water drains out first. So it will be either a blocked or failed drain pump. external link
Good afternoon,i have a fisher paykel WA75T65GW1 washing machjine i have replaced the water pump which has burnt out, also replaced the motor controller and reconfigured the machine to suit the 7.5 kg machine as per instructions but the machine gets to the spin cycle an wont spin, motor seem to just surge back and forward. would i be correct that this model doesn't have a sensor on the motor like most other models because lots of reviews show this can often be the problem with the moter not working. Looking forward to a reply because we really like this product regards Neil

my machine begins pumping the water out in the rinse cycle then stops and a burning smell starts when the spin should start. What could be causing this?
My machine just refused to turn on after fully completely a wash cycle this morning. I hadn't noticed anything going wrong up until this point except perhaps for some squealing noise from time to time. The machine is 9 years old - is it worth calling in the service person or is it time to replace it? I have had no issues up until this point in time. I have requested a service but nothing available for a week.
What is the cost to replace the control panel on a F&P top loader Washing Machine?
We moved our washer recently. Now after connecting to the water source the washer would not fill. Please advice.
During spin cycle machine stops half way while draining water.
possible drain pump faulty and overheats, washer senses and cuts power. If pump winding is hot, faulty pump

Hi Janell sorry to hear that, it sound that your machine is a few years old already I guess 7-8 maybe ? I really don't know much about F & P as I had a MYTAG for the last 35 years and just purchased one same brand like yours but only a few months ago. you may have to consider calling for service. Good luck Clem
My machine won't power on. There is a slight buzzing sound but no lights on the control panel.
Did you find out Stephen? Ours is doing the same.
No answer to date. Decided to buy a new machine as the F&P was getting on and not worth fixing. Bought a front loader, quiet, gentle on clothes and washes better. We're remodelling our laundry and will have bench space over the washer. better outcome allround.
We are moving house and wondered how to secure the washing machine for transit?
We suggest you put a removalist blanket wrap it all around the machine and tie to the side of truck or trailer with other white goods.

Interested to know too
There was a CRACK sound about 2 minutes into wash and now the machine won’t turn on at all. I’ve removed the control board and there is burn marks so it seems something has blown although I’m not sure exactly what... I’m wondering if I can replace the particular part of the control board or if I have to replace the entire board itself... everything else seems to be fine on the board.
Check whether still under warranty, and contact a recommended FP Customer Service Technician for advice and attention (even if not still under warranty). You may be in breach of any warranty by tampering with the mechanics yourself.
My guess is you would need to replace complete control board, but the question is what caused it to blow. Google some research for this problem for your machine I have fixed many things be doing this. However if your not confident in doing this call a technician - standard warranty should be 2 years from manufacturer.
When was this model first produced?
The WA75T65GW1 introduced in 2009 and discontinued 2011
Machine goes through cycle till it gets to pump out water from initial wash, starts pumping out water for about 30 seconds then stops, 2 minutes later starts pumping again until empty BUT it never gets all the water out. It starts filling for the rinse cycle but I still have suds sitting in the bottom. Machine does it;s rinse cycle but I can end up with more suds in the bowl than I started with...any suggestions...we don't have any Fisher and Pakyel Techs here so electrician came...really had no idea...???
Hi,
My machine has recently started to make a noise on the first half of the first rinse cycle, second rinse and spin cycles no noise? The noise is like a squealing noise, it probably is happening around 30-50% of the time at the moment.
Any ideas ?
Thanks in advance
Call the company for an advice it’s definitely a technical issue because my machine is amazing
No noise
When I turn my machine on, two wash lights and a spin light blink and the machine starts beeping. The only thing that stops it is the pause/run button, or turning it off at the wall. Any reason? Thanks.
I wish I can help Ann, but what you have mentioned has not happened to me.
From the right, which lights are on ie 1, 4, 5. 7 etc.
Mine is also doing this, from the right (as asked) it is 1 (spin), 5, 6 (wash) lights on constant and beeping every second. Pressing start turn off the lights and Lid Locked comes on. But no activity.
Pump is free to spin, bowl and agitator free to move.
