Our machine gets down to 10 mins, stops then continues to fill with water? Any ideas?
The motor for the washing machine is it ac or dc
I believe F/P motors are brushless DC. Not totally sure. Suggest you direct that to Fisher Paykel or google it.

Hi Gayle, I can’t answer your question but you can find out by going to Fisher & Paykel manuals online and download your model. There should be a description of the functions etc. They also have a downloadable manual outlining the parts of your washer should you need to replace them. external link This link should help.

hi i have a fisher and paykel 10kg WL1068P1 and keep getting the code 40 i have pulled it apartand cant seem to work out what the problem is It does not spin as it should (spins very very slowly) any help would be great
Hi not sure if there’s any point reposting the same question that didn’t get answers above but our washing machine has worked well for 4 years and now just is out of balance every wash. Doesn’t spin dry. Every time I manually rebalance it seems to add more water and time to the cycle and never finishes. I’ve checked the machine level. Seems fine. Stabiliser rods don’t seem worn. Can’t find the balance sensor anywhere. Any help would be appreciated to save a waste of a trip from a technician if the repair will be close to the same cost as a new machine

My cleansmart machine needs new suspension, is it easy enough to do yourself?
I also can’t remove the top as others have asked. Can someone please explain how?

My washing machine states over and balance when ever I do any load with very little clothes in some loads. Recent problem. Can anyone help? I have made sure the clothes are well balanced but no matter what I do it does this now every load. Help...
This is one of the reasons I got a new one. However check your water supply either end of the pipe It might be blocked
You need to change the suspension, I had the same thing happen to mine, however I don’t know how to take the top off to do it!!
You need to undo the two screws on the side of the lid. Then push in the clear plastic tab and then slid the lid out. the steel rods that slide inside the lid is spring-loaded so maybe hold them when sliding the lid.
My machine can spin during wash, can drain but wont spin dry. What would be the problem?
please help im doing everything right but my white quilt cover always comes out with lint all over it. I use the sheet setting. My black work clothes come out with white marks on them. I only use liquid detergent and no fabric softer ever.
Hi Deb did you find out why you have lint all over white clothes and white marks on dark clothes. I have the same problem.
Yes I did it was washing powder. Only ever use liquid now and no problems. Try liquid and see how you go.

I’m having similar issues to the ones already listed here: water level doesn’t cover clothes: clothes coming out unclean & not fresh smelling: sheets come out covered in lint: I purchased this machine brand new @ around $1500 & not sure what to do. I’ve read the manual & am doing all the right things & using the correct top loader washing liquid. I’m at my wits end as I’m having to wash things at least twice. Help, where do I start

I have this machine as well - and HATE it !!! I have had it a couple of years now and having nearly all the same issues as listed in these reviews!! Lint over clothes, not enough water to clean loads properly. Sheets and towels getting twisted and not being washed. I now use the handwash selection for normal loads and it is using a bit more water - but I am no where near happy with this machine. Harvey Norman recommended it to us and I will never buy from them again due to this machine. It is a piece of cr@p and I am just waiting for it to die so I can replace it. Worse washing machine I have ever owned!!!

We have ours for approx 8 yrs now. Have switched to liquid detergent but notice that blankets and similar still have lint/dirt etc on them. As there is not filter to clean this is frustrating. Not sure how we fix it?

I have dropped a pop rivet underneath the agitator, how do I remove agitator to get rivet out? Obviously I can't run a cycle with a piece of metal stuck in the machine Thanks!
what do you do about the lint problem, have cleaned the bowl numerous times, still lint all over everything. they tell me there is no lint filter in this machine.
When I use a washer, I sort the cloths by material and color in advance. I do not mix them to avoid lint problem. Anyway I will choose a lint filter equiped washer next time .
The wash boost is filling NT with water during the cycle and it’s leaking out of the machine. I have cleaned the wash boost section and the inlet but I can’t find anywhere else to clean and it’s still leaking.
my machine is cant drain out,,,,how i can solve it?
Hi we have a WL1068P1 washing machine. It keeps showing out of balance as soon as the pump out cycle ends and the spin is about to start. Also when cycle shows time to go it extends cycle time . From 31 minutes to go to 35 minutes to go. Machine is level and not bouncing or vibrating. Only 2.5 years old. Push bowl down and it settles quickly. I have reset machine to factory default as per instructions. Cannot see if unit has out of balance switch or is this in the PCB ? Regards Harry

Wow. I am 69 and never heard of Bowl straps. I never needed any such thing. lol This should tell you that F & P know this machine goes out of balance. The trouble with this machine is that it is bigger in diameter and shallow compared to normal depth to other machines I have had. It has no filters, No water level button which i missed. The no filter and big diameter should have sent alarm bells. I have to wash everything on Bulk wash to get enough water to wash the clothes. They have put a front load machine into a top load which you cannot do unless you have water level button. These stupid water saver machines are useless. Other machines have a water level button to over ride the mind the machine. for 1300.00 biggest waste of money. if lived closer I would give it to you for 500.00. the other problem with this machine and others, the motors are not seperate to the drums like good old days. I find more noise . the inside of this machine is different to other machines with no agitator. Has raised bit in the middle and is so rough on the clothes. Clothes come out looking like rages as well. First time i have purchased a F&P never again. also never buy from Good Guys. they do not back their product.. Hope this helps. do not wasted your money. I would look at LG
