A must have for any new baby – Bought second hand like a previous reviewer and presented like new. Absolutely no faults at all with this amazing baby swing. Love that is powered by both mains power and batteries if you want to use outside and have no power access. Has choice of songs and volume as well as speed of swing depending on weight of baby.

Sanity saver!!! – I purchased a second hand Power Plus swing for my 4 month old daughter after a recommendation from a friend, backed up by reading reviews on this site. Well, am I glad I did!! Sadly I don't think you can buy these anymore in stores, however I am sure EBay, Gumtree and other second hand goods places will yield one. However no matter where you… Read more

buy I always like to read a review on a product so here is mine.

If you have more than one young child, an unsettled bubba, or just need some time to do other things, this product is for you (and me, I love it!)

Advantages:

* A/C Adapter - Save money on batteries (only model I have seen with this option)

* 6 different speed settings

* 10 different tunes (reduces the earworm effect of baby toys)

* 3 recline positions

* cute yet unobtrusive toy mobile, gives baby something to look at, but is also not too distracting if the object is to get them to sleep. The toy bar also folds away if you want to further remove distraction.

* Easily removable cover for washing

* removable tray

* side pockets for spare dummies, spit rags, toys, etc

Downsides:

* the frame of the swing does fold up but not completely flat and when open it does take up a fair bit of space.

* no lock position, putting baby in or out can be tricky at times as the seat can "run away" from you, just need to take care.

* Recline may not suit newborns as it doesn't go back very far.

* Is a bit bulky to carry around if you need to move it regularly see above see above

Good – It helps settle our baby when he is tired. It is probably not very eye-catching so he is not interested in looking around at the toys on the swing. I love how you don't need batteries to operate this swing. Our baby loves it as well and falls asleep in it easily The colours are a bit boring and the songs are repetitive.

Excellent – Best thing i ever bought! I have a baby with reflux and trying to get her to sleep anywhere that wasnt in my arms was near impossible, but she will sleep in this!! It has been through 2 babies now and is still like brand new, the quality of it is fantastic. The AC adaptor! No more worries about needing to change the batteries as you plug it straight into the wall! would be better if it reclined a little further than it does.

Excellent – We told by friends to get this as it would save our sanity and how true has that been. Our baby loves it. The fact that you can plug it in or use batteries is great as who wants to keep buying batteries. The best thing about it is that when you are trying to do a bit of house work or cook dinner you can put bub in switch it on, turn on the music… Read more

and it will keep them calm for awhile. The only down fall is is that it is quite big and takes up a bit off room That it can be plugged in or battery use, portable, looks great

Good – Loved this swing, it gave my arms a break. We couldn't put our baby down without crying, but he loved this swing immediately. Would be great if the seat would recline more for when baby small, my son looked uncomfortable until he grew a little bit. The music i could hear in my head even after it had been turned off, baby liked music,but once baby… Read more

had sat in the chair a short time, the music was etched into my head and would be in my head for a long time after it was turned off. Baby grew to dislike the music. Swing slowed as baby grew, eventually his weight (9kg)slowed so much it would stop at times.

Would recommend this product, it saved us and our arms as our baby loved motion, hence wanted in our arms constantly. But this swing was our saviour as baby like the motion and we were able to gain 15mins of weight free arms at a time. power and battery operated Seat does not recline enough for smaller/newborn babies. Larger babies or as baby grows, speed and swing slows and eventually unable to swing with babies weight. The repetitive music.

wonderful swing – plugs into the wall or runs on batteries, looks good in our lounge room and is a nice sturdy well made swing that my son really enjoys. He will even fall asleep in it from time to time very sturdy and well made swing with 10 songs and plugs into wall or runs on batteries. Keeps bub entertained for a fair amount of time  Show reply

Excellent – LOVE IT. Would recommend this to anyone and everyone. Your baby will love it and so will u. It is the only way i can have some mum time. Plugs in to mains so u never run out of batteries. Swings to fast when they r small and not fast enough when they r bigger.

OK – colours were dull and took up a lot of room. could only fold and couldn't take apart. The lack of back support was the major problem ac adapter didn't swing at times with the blanket on and bad back support due no reclining position

Excellent – My son is a big baby. Even I put it on higher speed, the swing still looks like struggling to move. My son pretty much grew out of it at 6 months as he's a big baby. But I got it for only $140 from toysrus when it's on special. I think it's the only one plug-in swing on the market. Great tool to keep my baby entertained. It will be better if the seat can recline a bit more as my son always falls asleep on the swing.

Good – Good - but needs to lie flatter. That is all - I am just rambling now as I have to submit a 20 word minimum. Love that it plugs in - this is the reason I bought it. It seemed to be the only one on the market that did plug in. Doesn't recline enough. It would be perfect if only it reclined to a flater position. I can't believe Fisher Price hasn't made one like this yet.

OK – The swing is just that, it doesn't do anything else, I love the plug in but if I was going to get another one in the future I would get one that also swings to the side and lays back more and there are some that vibrate, my 8 week old is only just big enough now that her head is not tipping off to the side, it would be better if you could lay it… Read more

all the way back. It's quite expensive for what it is. Like everyone else with one of these swings I love that you can plug it in and not have to worry about batteries. The toys on the mobile are pretty dull, not colourful and don't do anything much except sway with the movement of the swing. It would be so much better if Fisher Price had made these detachable so that you could buy other toys to swap them around, especially if some made noises and flashed etc. The music in the swing is pretty repetitive and it all sounds the same tone. Even at full layback the swing seat does not lay back far enough, it would be better if it fully reclined to lie down completely horizontal.

Excellent – this is great, it keeps going and going, did find that it didnt seem to swing a lot when the baby was in there, a lock position to keep it from rocking or movingwhen removing the baby would be good, Packs up good to take away and saves my sanity from a restless baby. awesome colour

Excellent – This is a fantastic product. We were sold on this product because it uses batteries or a powerpoint. We found it great to put our son in while we were having dinner, it would keep him occupied for quite a while. He even fell to sleep in it a couple of times. Its great that it folds away for storage or transport, I have even fitted it in a… Read more

hatchback car on the back seat folded up. We would recommend this product to anybody! Different speeds. The toys can be moved around on the mobile. Everything is washable on it. Portable around the house! Like any babies furniture, the space it takes up.

Excellent – My 5 week old loves this swing. He enjoys watching the toys as it swings, and then goes to sleep in it very easily. It does take up a bit of room, its high and bulky, but that doesnt bother me that much because he loves it!!!Its great that i dont have to buy batteries for it, because its used alot. Its very safe and sturdy. I would definitely… Read more

Excellent – Every mother who has a new baby should go for this to protect her sanity. Its like a second mother at hand. The music, swing, rocking straight away puts my bub to sleep in minutes. She absoulutely loves it. It runs on battery which lasts you for 4 months. Very economical. The seat can be removes and it acts as a rocker and very handy to go out… Read more

with. It can then be made into a steady seat which is very handy when feeding bub. Its just a complete combo Fisher Price 3 in 1 smart stage rocker swinger. I like everything about this product.

Good – Overall despite the bulky awkwardness in moving the swing, it was a life saver. My daughter loved swinging and it meant I had my hands free and she was being soothed by the music and swing motion when I needed to cook, shower etc. This swing has a power adapter which means it can be plugged in rather than having to worry about batteries that many… Read more

other swings I looked at had. It's quite bulky and takes up a lot of space. The toys are not very eye catching and don't really do anything. As my daughter got older she'd hold onto the pockets on the sides that stops the movement.

Good – As far as swings go, it's very safe and the ac alternative is a definite advantage, although I didn't find I only needed to change the batteries once with our fisher price flutterby swing (even after our 1st baby was in it everyday for most of the day for the first 6mths of his life, and for an hour each day everyday upto 12mths of age - he was a… Read more

small baby) The toybar is disappointing and I'd rate this swing the best if the toy bar was more interactive with flashing lights like the flutterby swing, because without the lights, bub still needs other things to look at to keep him happy. Although a good decent swing, I probably wouldn't recommend purchasing this compared to the fisherprice flutterby type (I believe there's newer themes for this swing). It'd be my second choice as babies really need a toy bar that's more interesting to keep them happy for longer, and the fisher price range of these is better. This swing is the only swing that has ac option, so it's great in case you run out of batteries and don't have any spare! Has side mesh to guard baby from sticking hands between bars when the swing is in action. And the mesh doubles as storage pockets for bub's bits and pieces. The seating recline has 3 levels of adjustment which is great from birth. There's a lot of variety in the music and adjustable volume. The toy bar can be swung out of the way to get baby in and out of the swing easily. Very sturdy and safe design. It's heavy and not easily moved from one room to another. The toy bar is not very entertaining for the baby, and my baby much preferred his fisher price flutterby swing with the flashing lights etc on the toy bar. Even if bub can't sit but once the baby tries to sit forward, you can't use it for fear of bub toppling over while swing is moving.

OK – After spending $170 on it I found out that my baby boy hated it and funny even a year and a half later he still hates being on a swing! I ended up lending it to a friend. Most expensive mistake I've made with buying baby products but if you know your bubs will like it, it would make a good investment. Good product if your baby likes swinging. Colour is boring and locking pin would be useful.

Good – This is a very good quality swing that will help to soothe baby and keep them happy and off the ground. The various swing setting and musical songs all help to rock baby to sleep if unsettled and easy to wipe clean too. very strong and lots of different speeds & song choices to keep bubs amused and happy. Takes up quite a bit of room and can get… Read more

in the way when not in use. Quite expensive to buy as they're only in them for a short time until they outgrow it - however that short time can make life a lot easier if it soothes baby
