was not able to connect the roller shutters to power because it was “too difficult”. During signing the contract, I told the “executive’ about potential issues with the power connectivity and requested an electrician inspection before commencing the work. Perhaps it was too expensive, or the executive knew better because nobody visited us before commencing the job. I was pressed to accept a substandard solution, but I strongly refused. Perhaps we should forget about the company, but we need to upgrade our security, so I decided to find somebody who was not a master electrician but just a professional who knows the trade and I did. The shutters were installed, and we thought that is all, but … After a few weeks, we noticed that the internet application controlling our shutters' behaviour was very strange. Sometimes only one shutter opens, even when both of them were scheduled or none. I have decided to troubleshoot the problem and after quite long research I found that the shutter motors manufacturer is a [Content Removed] manufacturer not very well known in the [Content Removed]. Contrary to the local executive sale speech, it was not the best of the best, but just one of those “affordable”. I would not be surprised if the motors driving the shutters were not made in [Content Removed]. The primary controller uses a simple 433MHz protocol, which is extremely easy to break. Any teen nerd with a garage sniffer from [Content Removed] or SDR apparatus can “steal” controls and control all shutters. The mechanism used to control shutters via the internet uses a [Content Removed] technology called Tuya which passes all controls to [Content Removed] servers. In theory, somebody from Tuya’s company might control the shutters. Perhaps it is not a big deal as Optus/Medicare blunder, but I bought the shutters for security. The problem occurred when Telstra updated the authentication WAP2 protocols of my Telstra Smart Modem, the previous implementation of WAP was quite easy to break, so Telstra upgraded the firmware to protect customers which makes sense. Unfortunately, [Content Removed] manufacturers of the Internet solution did not upgrade the “gateway” and as a result of it, the communication between shutters and the Tuya servers is not stable. I could downgrade my Wi-Fi system to satisfy getaway deficiency, but what is the point to buy a mock-up of the Fort Knox door made from aluminium profiles locked by a padlock which can be opened by hairpin? (Just a thought) Conclusions: 1) Logistics is not the best strength of the company's business 2) If you wish to have shutters that might be opened by nerds using a cheap gadget or bored [Content Removed] server admin, go for it

We can honestly say that we felt Will was sincerely looking out for best interest..... our needs and wants. He recommended what would best suit us. We required the blinds to be installed two weeks after our initial consultation as we were having a party and that weekend was going to be very cold. Will did his best to ensure that the blinds where made and installed in time. Everyone who has come to our place has commented on the quality and effectiveness of our alfresco blinds. They keep the sun, rain and wind out. We are able to sit under our alfresco with our outdoor heater on and feel the warmth. We can truly say this was our best investment ever. Throughout the whole process Will would updated us regularly on the progress of our blinds. The communication and customer service we experienced was definitely above and beyond what was expected. Will even rang us a few times after installation as part of his after sale service. END RESULT EXTREMELY SATISFIED CUSTOMERS. Blinds are Five Star, customer service unfortunately isn’t – The blinds themselves are brilliant. Couldn’t fault them. They do live up to the 5 Star name. to the material being used, and I was told that thicker material had been ordered which I was very happy about. I assumed this would be an easy fix and the finishing would match the quality of the blinds themselves.

Unfortunately, when the installers came back to rectify the issues they told me it was impossible to get thicker material, and they were using the same material they had previously. This was frustrating for all involved, as Will in a text message told me that a thicker material had been ordered and this is what I was expecting. Of course, most of the problems remain after their second attempt. I don’t blame the installers at all for this, as they were doing the best with what they had. When I spoke to Will after the second attempt to do the flashing he told me if I wanted thicker material I would have to pay the difference, which was confusing as I had just been told thicker material did not exist, after being told that it had been ordered. No extra price was mentioned at that time.

Paid a couple of thousand extra for pelmets and flashing to bring it all together and really disappointed in how it’s been finished off. While the material they use might be fine on shorter spans, it clearly is not appropriate for flashing the Extreme blinds they sell.

I was also told when Will came out to have a look that all three sides would be fixed, but Will now swears he only said two would. All three had the same issues, so I have no idea why I would have agreed to this.

After raising these points and being brushed off I said I’d be leaving honest reviews and Will told me to “be careful” if I did.

A really disappointing ending to a three month saga that had started out so well.

The blinds are great. Keep the sun and heat out, as can be seen in the videos I was never asked for permission to be posted on their social media pages. Worth the money, but just “be careful” with anything a salesman tells you.

Lack of follow up and communication – Attended appt for quote on 3 roller shutters, gave 2 prices, 1 if I go ahead later or a 2nd price $800 less if I confirm order within 1.5 hrs from appt, take before and after photos and leave review on this website. SMS'd back to advise will consider in near future but requested more detailed quote instead of a number on a business card. Never heard back!

BLINDS Keep looking around if you want good service – Product is good, installers did a good job. very disappointed with the sales staff. Couldn't actually do what was initially quoted, whilst they 'upgraded' I was disappointed with large gap which they wanted $300 extra. Felt patronized by sales team.Blind zip came undone. What a difference – What a difference these out door shutters make to the look of the house and the temperature inside the house. Would highly recommend this company.
