1 Christina  · They are dodgy, they closed down previously as they weren’t paying for any of their stock. Wouldn’t trust them!!!!
1 Laura  · Bad service – Showed up at 3.58pm, couldn’t be bothered to make last coffee before stopping at 4, customer satisfaction not a priority.
3 Loz  · Good produce. Poor service at Bondi Junction – Great new layout and product range but the young girl who served me was a poor representation for the brand.

I have just walked away from the most frustrating experience at Miami Store. I went into the shop at 8:00 am on the way to work, with one simple goal, to purchase the same Pro=Biotic I have been using for the past few years. I was informed due to TGA Compliance, the product could ONLY be dispensed by a naturopath... who starts at 9:00. So I… Read more

decided to wait. When the "Naturopath" turned up 5 mins late (clearly delayed by waiting for fresh coffee in hand), she decided to give me a lecture about "New Rules" and continued with the Spanish Inquisition. I am retired age and have a thousand health issues... and she needed details of all... OMG. Halfway through the questions I asked if this process was a once-off, or whether I could expect this every time, and could she put a note on my membership so a non-naturopath could serve me in the future. I was advised I would always have to see a naturopath... no surprise... I left without the probiotics. I went to the "Your Organic Pantry" in Burleigh and was served in 2 mins, no questions... too easy.

Absolutely the worst customer service. Staff member told me twice I wasn’t a member as he checked all data bases. Been going to this store for 10 years- I found my membership card and he just rolled his eyes. Wasn’t given the discount so emailed the store twice and still haven’t got a reply a month later. Show details

Happens to now be my last port of call , they were closed for ages doing shop fit out which is just useless . Seems to stock less products but spread out more. Now purchase products at another store same products & way cheaper found them during the revamp. Loyalty discount never had any redemption not sure what it's for. And if I do go they say oh out of stock from supplier. Show details

Harassment – I have repeatedly contacted Flannerys to stop harassing me with text messages. Every time they promise to stop and then a few months later I get a text, offering me the opportunity to OPT out. Utter and pure harassment and I will lodge a complaint with the ombudsman next time this happens. Show details

Cafe Bullies Discriminate – Undeserving of integral customers. Complaint to manager few times rendered useless. your cuppa slammed right in front of you on the always dirty sticky tables. Glares and stares, disrespectful, and passive-aggressive. They took advantage of my independent loyalty and pleasantness mistaking it for weakness, huge error. Careful, you may hear some of them gossiping garbage as you walk past an isle it could be anything about you! If you hold any of them accountable for their disgusting behaviour they'll smirk in denial. Low class vibe. Even a A health assistant was let go elsewhere and ended up there sitting down at cafe turn around to see the birdie gesture thrown at you. Hostility projects self-hatred. Advice employ well-balanced staff. AVOID THIS PLACE they don't support the truth.

Very Expensive – I went to the Chermside Shop to buy some vitamins and was shocked to see them charge $39.00 for a product sold at other physical chemists for $25.00 (not online). I asked if they price matched and was told no. I acknowledge they can charge what they want and I don’t have to shop there and can buy it elsewhere but I view that as complete extortion… Read more

Service limited and stock out of date – I'm always a bit surprised when I go to Flannery's Chermside. I usually walk into an empty store with 3-4 staff members milling around. No one greets me. When I go to the checkout... normally can't see any staff and have to wait... not sure where they go but it's not the normal standard you'd experience in a grocery store. With no other customers… Read more

it should be priority to at least serve the sole customer who wants to pay you money.

I recently purchased some bread, and it had the best before date (dated the previous day) scribbled out, and it didn't have a new one anywhere. When I asked the cashier he firstly said the bread makers made a mistake, and then he added that their sticker machine broke. He assured me it was fresh and delivered today. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and chose to believe him. However, when I got home and opened the bread, it was very, very, stale. Definitely past it's best before date. Fair enough to sell it, but I paid full price and it is very poor practice indeed to modify best before dates and sell stock at full price. The following week a sign informed me that particular bread maker is no longer selling through Flannerys due to low sales.

Filthy eating area and unhygienic self serve at Crows Nest – Public health authorities have been informed regarding the ingrained filth surrounding the eating area and particularly the ingrained food on the floors and tables. Flying insects land on food whilst your are eating because the hygiene has been so neglected for so long in this store. Manager has been has been made aware of filth and walks away but… Read more

will send a staff member to deal with complaint so he doesn't acknowledge the complaint so doesn't respond to the complaint, staff members have been told to say they are busy but they are not. The scoops that are left on the outside of self serve bins are covered in stuck on food which the fly's and insects sit on and eat and defecate on, the scoop.s then goes back into the bin and spreads it's faeces on the food inside. These scoops need to be covered at all times and cleaned regularly. There are complaints that the ready made hot and cold foods in the buffet are out of date produce and products so beware. The pricing you pay at the cashier counter is often different from the marked price on the shelf and are therefore overcharged on a variety of products. The staff are mentally lethargic and indifferent to service, which is often slow and cold in the catering area. The management of this store needs to be replaced as is evidenced by the spirit of the store, it profoundly lacks any of the fundamental elements of true organic living, it's a dead experience walking into that particular store with no trust that it will get any better and shine the true ethos and spirit and community care that it should. Therefore an official investigation has been started.

Naturopaths Need Customer Service TRaining – I regularly shop at Mrs Flannerys at Bromberg Plaza. Their Marketing Manager wrote back to me:

“This year, our wonderful Christmas cake maker was overwhelmed with the orders and so a few stores missed out on the early orders.

Depends who serves you: organic shouldn’t be that judgemental – There are some very nice people working at Flannerys, particularly in the cafe. The store is however a different story. I wouldn’t recommend going here when treating an illness, or if you do don’t make any illness obvious. I have not ever seen such a lack of professionalism or respect in this regard. Would give 0 if possible, cafe officially closes at 4, yet they will not serve you at 3:55 – I give them 0 stars. I went to order a drink at 3:55pm. The staff at the cafe said they close at 4pm. I said well I know, it's 3:55pm, they looked at me strangely not knowing how to respond and didn't take my order.

Is anything from China really certified organic – Unlike many people giving reviews here, I have always found the staff at Flannerys Chermside to be very approachable, good natured and helpful. However, I have noticed that most of the seeds and other packaged food stuffs are from China - the most polluted country on the planet. Having also been a shopper on eBay for many years and seen so… Read more

many fake items and false marketing claims by Chinese sellers, I am therefore extremely skeptical when I see cerified organic on the back of Chinese produce. It might be cheaper to buy from there, but is organic really what we are getting?

I also notice that another reviewer has complained about bad reactions to some of this produce. This does not inspire confidence in the Flannerys “Own“ brand at all. Now that Wrays have closed I have no where else to shop, but to be honest, I AM currently looking for another organic supermarket I feel I can trust.

Not healthy food, just good marketing – I buy organic produce and products, because some pesticides make me very sick. I find that some of their fresh produce is not as fresh and organic as it is marketed, but the quality is still ok. When I make sauerkraut (a fermented product) using their cabbage it DOES turn into sauerkraut, meaning the cabbage was fresh and non-irradiated. on the… Read more

other hand, mostly all of their other products, such as nuts, cereals, flour, etc make me CONSISTENTLY sick, and I mean VERY sick. This makes me think that they are Not fresh, not organic, not spray free, not local as marketed, and on top of that probably massively irradiated!! If they think they can fool their customers they’ve got it wrong. People like me shop at health food stores for a reason, and we are not stupid.

Change your policy Flannerys, be honest with your customers, and forget about Chinese imports. They make you money in the short term but you loose valuable customers for the long run. I am Never buying from you again.

Loganholme Flannerys is a joke. Unhelpful, lazy staff, overpriced, always running out of stock – Poor service from unhelpful staff, way overpriced products. Acai smoothie ONCE. Every other time I've asked, the response is "The kitchen is closed". Why on earth offer a product that is so sporadic? I've been told this when it's the middle of the day on a weekend and there's more than one staff member there. Why can one of them not make a smoothie? Perhaps Flannerys need to advertise how many MINUTES a week their 'kitchen' is actually open!

My other gripe is that when a product is missing off the shelf and I ask about it I get a useless response of "oh". That's it!! Not even a "hang on and I will look out the back for you"; not even forthcoming with any info on when that item will come in again ... just "oh". That is appalling customer service! The chick didn't even get up from her chair to look or check for anything. This is not the first time I've experienced this.

But mostly it's the criminal prices they charge in there for some items that are necessities. I've seen price differences of close to $20 per kilo cheaper on some items from other wholefood stores such as Wray Organics and Kiah at Mt Gravatt. Flannerys is just a rip off and exploiting people who aren't able to shop in the regular supermarkets due to certain allergies that mainstream gluten free doesn't cover ... e.g. Soy allergy.

I'm just going to continue to lobby the other stores to open a shop further down the highway to service Loganholme down to North Gold Coast. We really need more choices, and they are much better stores in my view ... just too damn far away in their current locations.

Overcharged both times I've purchased there – I went to Flannery's Miami for the second time today in six months. Again, when my products were weighed I thought it seemed heavy.
