I usually buy in store at Darlinghurst and the rates are relatively good. This time for the first time I feel like I got ripped off. The price they gave me to buy USD was even less than the published rate on their website. Usually in store you can negotiate a better rate. They said something about some online promotion which is [Content Removed]. I will now need to get rates from elsewhere to compare in the future. You lost my loyalty guys.

Ordered funds on 26th March for delivery to local post office on 4th April. Paid for into a Commonwealth Bank Account. the weekend. No money. Started trying to contact ForeignXchange. Both phone numbers not available. Sent a couple of emails, no reply. Finally after some research online, found mobile contact numbers for both directors. I contacted one who was very surprised to received a call! Advised money was now being sent on 11th April. I advised this was not suitable. Arranged to pick up from their Adelaide office at 2pm . Was told they didn't have one of the currencies I had ordered so I just asked that it be made up for in another currency. This was agreed to in writing. Just before leaving home, I receive another email telling me that Startrack had collected it and it was now due to be sent to Post Office the following week. A little late for me. So, one abusive rant in an email and another in a phone call where it was established that the money was being sent from Sydney, they offered to refund my money, but wanted to know when I was travelling, bank account details. etc. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If you want any of the Director's personal info, happy to provide.

Don't deal with ForeignXchange !! – They promised me a delivery on January 10th it did not arrive. I tried to call them. One contact number just drops out the other ring forever but nobody answers. failed to deliver the services offered on their website. When pushed, they acknowledge it was their error but refuse to work with you on a solution even denying a refund which breaks the law given their misleading information and communication. Second time this has happened. USE ANYONE ELSE BUT THEM!!!

No problems at all – I had no trouble with ordering or receiving the money. I got regular emails keeping me informed and the cash was at the Post Office when they said it would be. The amounts (two currencies) were correct. I appreciated being able to ask for smaller denominations, which I received. I didn't get EXACTLY what I asked for, but very close. rates compared to other sites - fairly high postage rate but I imagine that’s to cover insurance costs, so all good - quick and easy to order currency (yen). - denominations were pretty good (I ordered ‘mixed’). - follow up email to confirm order within 24hrs -note you do have to scan in your drivers license and that frightened me but obviously they need some kind of ID! - I then received updates near to the arrival date (Aus post) both by email and then by text when it went via Startrack. - It did go a bit quiet email wise but I guess there was nothing more to say! - In the end the currency arrived a day early, thanks! I saw a lot of people complain their currency didn’t arrive in time… so order in plenty of time. I ordered mine 2 weeks in advance. - Aus post had the currency waiting and it was easy to receive the parcel. They just used my driving licence and I signed for it. Ordered and received to regional location fast and accurately – Exchange rate is great. Had no issues in ordering or receiving. Denominations were exactly as requested. Was only place I could find YEN in cash form.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY – I ordered currency for my daughter and they said that it would be 5 business days. Needless to say it didn't arrive in time and therefore I requested a refund. It has now been nearly 2 weeks. They will not answer their phone and will not get back to you. These people should not be trusted

Sends you the wrong currency and then drags their heels giving you a refund – I bought a certain type of currency and paid for express post to receive them in time for a holiday. Once it arrived I found out they sent the wrong currency (not even from the same country) and messaged them about it - they messaged and said I could keep it as it was worth more than the currency I paid for (no use for me since I'm not visiting… Read more

They did end up sending a courier to pickup the wrong currency, however the courier couldn't deliver the currency (they had no access) and the delivery was not picked up for a number of days.

It took a long time and many persistent emails before they finally refunded my money.

I would certainly not deal with this company again who can't even get the basics of their business correct - currency exchange.

Interestingly AFCA (Australian Financial Complaints Authority) don't list this company as a valid financial company to actually submit a complaint against (AFCA said they are not a member of theirs - perfect - can't make a complaint against a company that knowingly doesn't want to be part of a company who can do anything about it!). I checked with ASIC and I can't see how I can even complain as their site just refers to AFCA.

Good service – I have no problem with the online service provided. Ordering a large quantity of currency was simple and at competative rates. But, that's where it ends. delivery, nothing and no communication or updates. The next day, the postman left a card in my letterbox saying to pick up my package at the post office. If this is the secure, expensive delivery service provided by Foreign Xchange, take my advice, click and collect, its cheaper and more secure.

If you don’t find exotic currency anywhere - this is the go to place for currency! – Purchased Solomon dollars which isn’t easily available in Nsw! Called these guys up, they said they could do it! And boys they did! - they went out of their way to order a small amount. Would def recommend!

This was perfect! arrived on time and as requested denominations! – Amazing service! Not sure why so many people gave these guys below par ratings! Lost Package, no refund in sight – Package was lost, startrack was contacted and was notified that it was lost in transit. Foreign Xchange did not acknowledge it was lost for quite some time and stated that they had not received any notification. Communication was off topic at first until I pushed for a refund. from me matched up. Foreign Xchange denies that startrack has contacted them in regards to missing package, I even forward the shortage email from startrack to them, responses are either non existant or flat, not very informative cookie cutter response just to get you off their back.

And so I am short quite a large chunk of change, with no refund nor offered a replacement. I would not recommend using this online service, physical banks may have less desireable rates, but you'll have much greater response and timely service.

The rates may be great, but the service definately does have some scam call centre vibes, the reviews here do tell quite a story. (RATES AND FEES ONLY REFLECTIVE WHEN YOU ACTUALLY GET YOUR ORDER, otherwise it will be negative 5 star for taking payment but not getting anything, they are pretty good, assuming you get your order in your hands)

Excellent service and tracking – Have used this company a number of times over the past 5 yrs. They provide an excellent online service with a very good exchange rate, easy to use ordering, very good customer service and tracking. I would highly recommend this company.

Shonky as – Waited all day for the supposed courier to show up,, a no show,,, called the both phone numbers leaving my name and number as no one would answer,, left messages and also emailed them,, no reply,, $4000 down ,, terrible,,, don't touch these guys if you want to keep your money

Absolute scam – I ordered currency in early June for delivery on the 30th June. It still hasn't arrived and allegedly an investigation has been lodged with star track. 46 days have passed and now they will not return my emails

Scammers – SCAM. Do not use, they accept payments with promised and selectable collection dates then when it gets close to that date they email you with crap like money being in the vault and going to be express delivery. Currency is really late – I ordered currency in early April and gave a date for 29th of April its now 5 th of May and it still hasn’t arrived. They were given lead time of more than 2 weeks.

Service is substandard – Rate given was very good but waited in all day for delivery on the appointed day. No one turned up and all attempts to contact them by phone or email were unsuccessful.

Easy and simple. Plan it well in advance – This company were easy to deal with. The money arrived when we'd booked it for. The website was straight forward to work with and understand. Going by our first time using them we will use them again.
