changed my mind as they came good – Bought from this store for over 15 years, beds bases, bedheads side tables and bedside tables. Recently ordered two queen mattresses one for me and one for partner Cancelled one, they kept $500 but just called back and agreed to deduct the $500 from new order so now I am much happier with their response Show details · 2
Fantastic, easy experience choosing a bed – Buying new beds from Forty Winks Crows Nest was a fantastic experience. The salesperson (Jonah A) was incredibly knowledgeable about each bed, as well as patient. He offered lots of great advice without making us feel like we were being 'sold' to. Couldn't be happier. Going above and beyond on delivery! – Having found the new king size mattress would not bend as much as the old one we were in a pickle as, on delivery, we could not get it up the stairs. A phone call later and Franchisee owner Michael visited with colleagues George and Michael and, with a team effort, squeezed the mattress through the gap and into the bedroom. Absolutely a great… Read more · 1
effort and could not have been a friendlier team. We are repeat buyers anyway and would certainly recommend them. Can also recommend Guy, the salesman for his detailed knowledge of his inventory. Many thanks.
Very caring and helpful – Late last year, friends and relatives told us to visit Forty Winks, Crows Nest. Craig was very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time with us trying out different mattress as all three of us have different requirements. We finally settled on our choice and asked Craig if he can speed up delivery since we were sleeping on borrowed mattresses. He… Read more · 1
called the factory in Queensland immediately to check if stock was available even though it was past closing time and we received the delivery within a week. He and Darcy worked to ensure the delivery time was within our Strata Manager’s restrictions. The delivery guys were on time, really nice and tidied up all the rubbish before leaving.
Sales person knowledgeable, helpful and honest – We needed a new mattress after 23 years and went back to Forty Winks Crows Nest. Craig was fantastic - he guided us through the product range (but was not pushy) and really helped us figure out what mattress types would be best suited. We narrowed it down to 3 in different price categories and we alone decided to purchase the more expensive brand… Read more
(although it was on sale). Craig gave us a new mattress protector. Delivery was as expected and they took away our old mattress as promised. The new mattress and base were flawless and we slept like logs. A week later we returned to buy new pillows to complement the new alignment of that mattress. Craig gave a good deal on the pillows too! We are totally thrilled with our purchase and experience with the Crows Nest store and absolutely love our King Koil New York mattress.
No/painful sleep since delivery of our Silent Partner bed two months ago – At Crows Nest, all the sales people are keen to sell you the Silent Partner range of beds, even though we'd had Sealy firm mattresses for 20 years and loved them. Of course, we relied on their skill and experience in forming our decision since we don't buy beds very often, like anyone. When delivered, we realised we'd bought a concrete slab - what… Read more
can you know when you try a bed for 10 mins in a shop and have the sales assistants pushing you to a different brand of firm bed? Two nights later, we complained and had hoped we could change it. In summary, the manager was extremely rude and told us we'd made a bad choice, not acknowledging that of course some buyers will trust in sales staff and take their advice to buy it. Since delivery in January, my husband and I have had terrible hip/back/shoulder pain - my husband has never had that this before and has spent $180 on physio pw the last few weeks!
I'm having massages to help my hips. If you sleep on your side, it just doesn't 'give' at the hips so it feels like your hips are in the air and the same with shoulders. It's so uncomfortable so we've been taking turns sleeping in the spare bed to get some rest (maybe that's why it's called 'Silent Partner' as they're never in the same bed). Several friends have come to try it for us and can't believe it's so hard.
We've decided we can't afford all the physio so we'll just kiss the money ($2200) goodbye sadly and get a Sealy instead - it's just not worth suffering anymore.
We've wondered why they sell this brand - no one else seems to - is it because the commissions are better? You have to wonder. Plus, there must be other people with the same experience?
Too hard. In addition, the bed frame is so heavy, we can't move it and the fabric on the base is a different type headboard vs base.
