still inside the original plastic packaging. My husband and I laid down and felt the mattress. It was different when we tried it in the store and when we tried it at home. We straight away felt the discomfort since we both have back issues. We decided not to use the mattress and thought maybe we could exchange it for a more comfortable one. The next day (Monday), I went back to the store to check if we could "exchange" the mattress since it was still on its original plastic packaging. I will not try if I know that we had slept on it and it is not on the original packaging, as I know their returns' terms and conditions. The ladies straight away turned me down. They said I purchased it a week ago, and we had slept on it for a couple of nights. I explained that it was only delivered the following week from the date of purchase and explained everything, but they didn't listen. I asked one of the ladies about the 90-day trial period; if the customer is uncomfortable, they will do an exchange. Straight away, she said, “NO, we don't do that”. She said it can take up to 8 weeks for us to get used to the mattress. She said we should sleep on it for a number of weeks so our bodies can adjust to it. Do we need to struggle with the discomfort? I asked if they could consider giving me a store credit, and we would return the mattress at the store at our own cost, but my request was declined. It was so frustrating. I thought their motto was “We’re serious about sleep”, but NO, they are not. I tried emailing the head office to see if they can help to rectify the issue but no assistance given. Still the Midland lady is the one replying on my emails. There is no resolution at all! So disappointing!

No recourse with uncomfortable mattress – Bought a Crown Premiere Essence Medium mattress in May 23 via BedMatch but my neck and back are worse off after using it for 9 months, with more frequent visits to chiropractor. The whole BedMatch system may not be 100% fool-proof, but at least they should be an avenue for resolution. Show details

Very poor service – We bought a floor stock bed which we were very happy with, but the bedside tables and tall boy we were told were out of stock and would be back in in 2 weeks time. really happy with the bedsides as they were very low now we had a new mattress and weren’t happy with the quality. We gave it a few days to see if we changed our minds.Spoke to the store manager, Dee who told me we did a special order and there was nothing she could do. She then told me to sell them online as I would get my money back….she obviously hasn’t sold anything online as people won’t pay retail for anything and why would you. We had spent nearly $5000 so expected a little more from them. If you order anything online and aren’t happy you can return items so what is the big difference? We have since purchased a new mattress for my son and refused to go back. I wouldn’t recommend buying anything from Forty Winks Midland to anyone after this.

Poorly Made Product – Purchased the King sized Tara bed less than a year ago, already having issues with the slats underneath cracking and causing a horrible sound from rolling over. Supposed to have a two year warranty apparently slats don’t count. The employee told me that depending on how we step on the bed can effect it, told her we aren’t children we don’t jump on… Read more

our bed, we sleep on it. Rubbish response and was recommended to go to Bunnings to have new slats cut to size to replace. My husband and I are normal sized people, no excuse for cracks to be happening less than a year from original date of purchase. Was told this never happens which I believe is bull crap.

Do NOT expect a refund even if goods not received – Walked into the Midland WA store and purchased a mattress with details provided by salesman. Later discovering unsuitable for us and within 48 hours we sought a refund to our credit card (a day BEFORE due for delivery). The request was refused outright by the team including [name removed]. The worst experience ever with a retailer.

For. I bought a king sized bed, another Serta mattress bedside tables and single bed for my daughter. I received an excellent deal but more,than anything I received excellent service. I was respected and treated with decency And humanity which unfortunately is often lacing In Australia.n

arranged for someone to come to the house to help.

Very friendly guy called Chris was at our house 1/2 an hour later. He finished the assembly, helped my husband put the mattress on and even took all the cardboard and plastic packaging with him when he left.
