Freedom Bathrooms & Renovations

We have used freedom bathrooms for the fourth time. They have just completed a multi level deck outside our lounge room. Fantastic workmanship, expert finishing, professional and friendly workers, that have a great work ethic.
They leave the worksite tidy and we are so pleased with the workmanship. Thank you Freedom

Did Freedom effectively manage the work? In our opinion, no they did not.

Did we end up project managing the renovation ourselves anyway? In our opinion, yes we did.

Did we feel like a valued customer who’s $30 thousand odd renovation was important to Freedom? No we did not.

Have we ended up with a great bathroom? Yes we have.

Would we recommend Freedom Bathrooms / Builders to others? No we would not.

Old bathroom removed, new one installed. Leaking downstairs after they did the new bathroom, many problems from day one of use. Asked to fix frames they only bogged instead of timber. Shower doorframe is timber and rotting. Many problems, their solutions have never provided us with a beautiful bathroom. Had to buy more tiles to cover their work. Before signing the contract, Freedom Bathrooms staff were very nice, responded to all emails and answered any questions I had. Things changed quickly after the contract was signed.
There were many delays. The job was originally quoted to be done in 3 weeks, in reality it came to 3 months.
They didn’t read installation specifications for products before attempting to install them, as a result a bathtub was installed incorrectly, bath filler they made us to return to the supplier at our own loss of money, and then we were asked to pay extra ...

Quoted promptly and within our budget. Work completed in timeframe given. All staff of different trades were punctual and professional. The job outcome exceeded our expectations and we are now making plans for our next renovation project with FREEDOM. Very happy customers

We chose to sign a contract with Freedom Builders for a full bathroom renovation (5.5 square metre bathroom) because of their availability to commence earlier than other companies. They also 'appeared' to be thorough, provided quality quotation & dealt with changes to the quotation very quickly.

During quotation & contract stages we were told the following by Freedom reps:
1. Freedom complete 200 bathrooms each year (incorrect - we did our searches);
2. The job would be completed in 2-3 weeks (incorrect, it took just over 8 weeks);

We selected Freedom to do our bathroom renovation because we were impressed by the sincerity of the staff (particularly the supervisor - Ben) and the professionalism of their quotation and advice. The work came in under budget and ahead of time. The quality of work was excellent, the tradespeople were always on time, helpful and cheerful. We recommend Freedom unreservedly and would use them again. Work was undertaken in Feb 2017.

Initial contacts was ok .quote given should have been more detailed). Date for job start was late. Then that's when a nightmare started. Missed quoted on Tiles m2 required were wrong. Needed 3 more boxes. Batch not available so one wall ended up lighter shade.
Plumbing was piped wrong way round. Toilet system placed to high up wall (ended up having lowered to seat but holes on new tiles visible) Vanity and top broken. (They repaired cabinet and replaced top.) Water proofing was not correct ( As I live in a highrise they stated if we have to r...

We had three bathrooms renovated over Jun-July 2016.This included one which had to be modified for a wheelchair user.Our project was quoted and supervised by Jim Thernberg.We had good advice re layout andl positioning of rollin shower appropriate falls in the floor and installation of a bidet.
The good thing was that when unexpected problems occurred (rotting timbers behind a tiled wall, damaged electrical conduit in concrete slab these were all fixed at no extra cost .
All our tradesmen were courteous and competent.
We purchased all our fittings and tiles via the Freedom Bathrooms shop at Springwood so the whole process was any easy one.
I would thoroughly recommend Freedom Bathrooms to anyone.

I couldn't be happier with my bathroom renovation!

Everything went smoothly and the workmanship is excellent, providing an overall immaculate finish. The job involved converting an odd shaped long (rotten) bathroom into a bathroom/laundry. I also needed plastering and cornice work done, which they fit within the job time frame. I appreciated that they were flexible with what I wanted as I provided my own vanity, tiles and light fittings.

Overall I am extremely happy with the end result and am happy to recommend them as quality bathroom renovators. I will be contacting them for my next renovation.

Mike came out to look over our bathroom project to give us some ideas on what we could do. We were impressed with his professionalism and he clearly had a good understanding of the opportunities and potential of our old bathroom to be improved. He discussed some floorplan options with us, which sounded appealing. The next business day we received a quote, and currently we're in the process of finalising the agreement. Wouldn't normally leave a review at this stage... but was so impressed with Mike's approach that I was happy to.

Just got a bathroom done by freedom, couldn't be any more happier. Work was great, excellent tiling. All very nice trade people. Jim and the team made it very easy no stress.

Why dose it take seven weeks to complete a bathroom renovation. The longest time frame our company takes is 14 days, and that is with replacing the concrete floor.

This is our second house Jim and the team at Freedom Bathrooms has done for us. We had a major house extension completed and both bathrooms fully renovated. We were kept in the loop with all the hurdles that come with this type of work, the staff were courteous and respectful while in our home. We highly recommend Freedom for any work you are considering having done. We sourced some of our own products we particularly wanted and Freedom also arranged the custom shower screens and vanity design on our behalf.

Initial service was great, couldn't have been more impressed, then they started and it went all pair shape from there. Tradies did not turn up when they said they would. The workmanship was poor and not at a high standard. Bathroom end date came and went and no apology or communications want so ever. Would not recommend them at all.
