Do not recommend this company, I chose BRISK Removalists because I trusted them after using them 8months prior to move my furniture out of a 4 bedroom home into storage and my daughters house, they were wonderful and I gave them a wonderful review. The last crew were spectacular no issues at all, this crew however, had no respect for my furniture… Read more
and used no care when bringing my furniture into my new 2 bedroom house. Most of my pieces of furniture have either been marked, or broken, even kicking the trolley into the walls, they dropped my dining room table onto my china cabinet destroying it. Will not be using them again.
No show removals!!! – Save yourself time, money and the stress. Don’t use this business if you actually have to move. If you are after a removalist company that takes your money and doesn’t show up then these guys are the best in the business. Stay away for the worst in the business.

Good service and great customer service – We have used them in Nov 2015 while relocating from Sydney to Melbourne. There were few heak-ups and change of date, which had given me the headache, but was kind of expecting as I was using backloading. However, service was excellent at both the ends, they came with bubble rap and blankets with a smile on the face all the time. The guy loaded my stuff from Sydney his name was Ali, a very nice fellow. Highly recommended.
So helpful, careful and respectful – The contractors called before arrival, loaded a 2-bedroom jam-packed apartment efficiently and securely into the truck with no time wasted. I was very impressed with the care they took in moving my furniture. They arrived at the new address before me! Now that was impressive because big trucks drive slower. They had great local knowledge of the… Read more
roads so they could take short-cuts. But overall, these guys were friendly, respectful, reasonably priced, efficient and there was no stress! I would use these two guys again. Well done FRS - I was happy.
Well organised – I moved from Sydney to Gold Coast last month, contacted several Removalist companies beforehand, it was stressful but I'm glad I found this company. I booked, paid my deposit 3 days in advance and then had my items picked up and paid on the day of pick-up. Ask for ALI, him and his team are great, all my boxes was loaded onto Pallets and… Read more
wrapped, they even took extra measures to protect TV's etc.
All in all it was an efficient and organised service which made me feel comfortable.

I was blatantly ripped off – **DO NOT USE THESE REMOVALISTS!!** I booked FRS removalists to move my furniture and items from Sydney to Brisbane for a relocation. Upon arrival at my property, the removalist informed me that I had more than 20 cubic feet (as I booked). I took a very thorough inventory and booked an additional 5 cubic metres to be safe prior to booking this… Read more
amount of space. I said how much do I have and he said he wasn't sure. I said please let me call the FRS office immediately to arrange another truck. I'm terribly sorry for wasting your time. The removalist said he would be able to fit everything on his truck but to keep it between him and I. At no stage was additional money or payment discussed or mentioned by him. He proceeded to move the furniture into the truck. Upon moving all of my furniture he asked how I was going to pay the balance to FRS and him. I said what do you mean, he said I needed to pay him $550 cash for the additional space I took up on the truck. This was in addition to the payment I made over the phone to the FRS office on the day. He made me go to the bank or else he would not have finalised the move for me. I was not issued a receipt for this and he continued to tell me if I had told FRS that they would have charged me a massive amount of money. One removalist spent a long time taking mobile phone calls during the move. However, they seemed to understand the language of money and indeed how to rip me off. My boyfriend met them at the other end. He said he had to do most of the move himself. The removalists only bought the furniture and boxes to the door and he had to lift everything himself. I am very lucky he was there to meet them. I'm not sure what we would have done otherwise. I feel if my partner had been with me on the day I would not have been asked for additional money. They took advantage of a female on her own. I rang FRS after this and they asked me to put my complaint in writing. I was assured of contact the next day. After receiving no phone call or acknowledgement from management I called and was promised a call again the next day. I have had no response whatsoever from FRS in relation to my issue. And I haven't even mentioned the box of completely smashed plates, bowls and glasses.
Worst experience ever.... Do not use – This is a letter I sent to Furniture Removalist Services. This move cost me an extra $7000. On the 1/10/18 I received a quote for the equivalent of a 4t truck based upon a list of items I had supplied. Upon conversations with it was agreed I would be booked in for 18 cubic metres, again based upon the list of items uploaded to your website. When… Read more
your team of removalists turned up, they regrettably informed me there was not enough room on the truck and I was told I had 35 cubic metres at my property. I measured the available space on your truck to find that there was only 10.8 cubic metres available on your truck. The tape measure (Which I have images) read 1.8 metres to other items on the truck. Little did I realise 300mm from the tail of the truck was reserved for your trolleys. That makes 1.5 metres of available space. To make matters worse the truck was not filled to the top (I have images to show the height, which I have previously forwarded to you via email on 2nd/ 11/18). To your credit, a second truck was arranged and arrived rather late. After much discussion I was told I must pay $1000. Although on the phone it was agreed that the second truck would take the rest of my stuff and for anything over 18 cube I would pay $100 per cube. Your second truck left at the same time the first truck did and the second truck left totally unloaded. During the time the second truck was at my property I felt Racially Discriminated against. Your removalists (4 of them) would speak in an unfamiliar language, laugh and the look at me which was making me feel rather uncomfortable. I was also booked on the last flight for the day back to Sydney and as your truck had arrived 2.5 hours after they rang and gave me an approximate time. I admit I was a little stressed as your guys were too busy talking on the phone and amongst themselves rather than getting the job done in a timely manner. To conclude, your first removalists told me he had 15 cubic metres on the truck? He also informed me I had 35 cubic metres in the property. The second truck was adamant I had 20 cubic metres left on the property. He would not take the stuff unless i gave him $1000. I called numerous times during the course of the delivery day (Friday 2/11/18) and kept on getting told someone would get back to me. Not once did anybody from your office get back to me when they said they would. I eventually got through to the manager. We came to an agreement that FRS would pick up the rest of my belongings on the following Friday (09/11/18), with the proviso that anything over 10 cubic metres would be charged for at a rate of $100 plus GST. I agreed as long as it was in writing by close of business that day (2/11/18). I heard nothing and because my discussions had fallen on deaf ears during that day I feared your company would not fulfil it’s verbal agreement so I took it upon myself to make other arrangements whilst I was at work on Saturday 3/11/18. I came home to an email from your company confirming that you would complete the job and because now I had lost all trust with your company and you had breached your word. I decided to do the job myself. The truck I used was a 3t truck which held 20 cubic metres and I only just half filled it with my remaining property? Which means I had only 10 Cubic metres left to bring to Sydney. Unsure as to where your professionals were getting their estimates from? I have images and video of the rest of the items. There is nothing in the property that was not on the list and everything would have fitted with the 18 cubic metres as originally quoted. Have been offered 50% of the cost of the removal but that is not enough. Please do not use this company.
No, never...ever – We booked for a VIP service 50cubic, for a move from Sydney to Brisbane for 14 December. Paid the full amount in advance (worst ever mistake I've done). FRS sent me a truck with only 15 cubic...and the nightmare started. The removalists didn't have a clue. They looked like casual local removalists with a small milkrun truck. Not as shown in the… Read more
website with branded, uniformed removalists. Called FRS and pleaded and requested with them to send a truck as agreed which was declined. Reportedly the truck broke down, and rest of the items would be moved three or four days later. I tried to reason with them and told them we are moving interstate we are not coming back to Sydney we need to move everything in one go which did not make any sense with them.
I finally requested them to cancel the service. Thankfully they agreed for a full refund in an email. ( Make sure anything you do with this company is in writing so you have evidence).
I had to contact another removalist company paid a premium because of last minute booking finally got the job done adding an extra day. (Happy to refer this removalists to you. They were brilliant.)
I had been chasing up the refund of $3,740 since that day. Spoke with [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], every one of them said the money should be in my account in two to three business days ever since. Sent innumerable emails requesting refund the full amount in vein.
The last call and two emails I sent yesterday (almost four weeks later)was very clear stating that they will be referred to fair trading New South Wales and ACCC. Thankfully they refunded my full amount today.
A very strong recommendation from my personal experience DO NOT EVER USE THIS REMOVALISTS even if they pay you to use them. I had many sleepless nights expecting the refund especially during Christmas time. Not one supervisor or manager bothered to call me. Please, please please do not make your life hell by trying to use FRS ever.
I'm glad I can move on.
FRS ..NO, NEVER, EVER.

Worst moving experience I have ever had – Moved 3 bedroom's worth from Canberra to Sydney. They arrived late. Despite advising them on our heavy table, they were shocked that there was a heavy table to be moved. Told me that the table wouldn't fit in the lift which it does. Suggested that it must have been moved in by crane and I had forgotten! Very aggressive and made me feel… Read more
uncomfortable in my home. Disappeared without word and another crew came the next day. They were better but still wanted to charge an extra $200 to bring the down the (previously advised) stairs. AWFUL experience, please don't use them.
Awful experience, scratched my furniture and tore it – 1 bed move, they didn't bring a big enough truck, dragged my leather couch across the concrete, were rude and aggressive thugs. They are trying to deny damages. Do not work with them, I will sue them for everything that they have. Absolutely horrific experience. They should be shut down.
Avoid this company at all costs – I engaged Furniture Removalists Services after speaking with their Customer Service representatives numerous times and being assured a truck with a tail lift would be provided for my job. Long story short, they use contractors who don't care, don't know what you've discussed/arranged with FRS and none of them have a truck with tail lift. The… Read more
removalists were rude and angry when I showed them my heavy pot plants that required moving. Because they didn't have a tail lift, they said they could not possibly lift the plants. They called a so called supervisor and handed me their phone. The so called supervisor appologised stating the other trucks with the tail lifts had mechanical problems that day but that he would arrange a different truck (with tail lift) to collect my heavy items the following day. The removalists didn't bring any blankets or any material whatsoever to protect any of my items. They repeatedly told me not to worry as the insurance would cover any damage. Not surprisingly, upon arrival, most of my items had been damaged. The company would not accept any responsibility and they refused to collect my outstanding items without further payment. They constantly change customer service representatives and 'supposed' supervisors, so each time you call to follow up with your complaint, you are forced to re-explain everything to a new person. One customer service representative told me they didn't have any trucks with tail lifts - which was the main reason I engaged them in the first place. And despite numerous requests to speak to the owner, I was told he blatantly refuses to speak to customers. Imagine hiring a truck and getting two mates to help you move your furniture and that's basically what you're paying for. They don't stack the furniture properly to avoid damage, they have no material to protect the items and they make you feel like an inconvenience the entire time. This company is a disgrace and should be investigated by the ACCC.
Avoid this company at all costs.

Do not use FRS. (Furniture Removalist Scammers) – I made the mistake of booking FRS the dishonest and scammer company. Booked the removalist to move two bedroom unite on Friday 21/09/2018, two guys showed up with 4.5 tonne truck and straight away they said the job is too big for them and they just finished a big job somewhere ales, even though I listed the item which needed to be moved. called the company while the guys are waiting, after 1 hour on the phone the removalist said to pay us from the time we arrived, and we’ll do the job. (1 Hour which they did nothing) to which I said no and they just drove off and I’m still on the phone.
The company rep said they can book the job for Saturday 22/09/2019 which I had to pay extra, 6 Am Saturday morning 3 removalist show up with a 4.5 tonne truck and said they have to do multiple trips even though they had images and video of what I had in the unite, again after 2 hours of calls I had to pay more money to which I agreed and they said manager will call me to give you a discount. The first load was delivered to Quakers hill where the dream started again, I received a call from the manager ([name removed]) who said he can only wave the charge for the removalist getting back to Ryde which is 25 Minute drive, I said no it’s not fair I had to wait extra day to move and rebook carpet cleaners and pay extra days rent because I couldn’t hand the keys back, I offered them to do the job for $500 because they stuffed up 3 times to which he said no and cut the call, the removalist were contact by FRS and was told not to unload the items and take it back to Ryde and unload it on roadside because I did pay more. The drive approached me and said I can do the job if I hired him and his two boys for discounted price, which I did and paid him half of the money, and the truck was unloaded at Quakers Hill, after they arrived at Ryde for second load the drive said they can’t do it and handed the money back and left again with half my furniture at Ryde and the other half at Quakers Hill.
1. I booked another removalist to move on same day on Saturday and paid extra for short notice and Saturday rate.
2. I lost my booking fee for carpet cleaner and had to book different company again for Sunday and paid extra
3. I had to pay extra rent because I couldn’t hand in the keys as per agreement
This company “Furniture Removalists Services” are nothing but scammer, dishonest, extortionist with extremely poor customer service. Do not use these scammers.
There is a lot more extremely poor service from these scammers but don’t have the time to write it all.
Extortion and blackmail - threatened to steal our 4k tv!!! Significant damage to furniture – Warning! These people are extortionists and conmen! We used FRS to move a 2 bed apartment from Neutral Bay to Alexandria in Sydney. For anyone not familiar with Sydney these suburbs are only 10.5km apart. 25 min journey by car. The job took 7.5 hours (9am-4.30pm) which is an unreasonable amount of time to move a 2 bedder within the same city. … Read more
The two removalists they sent, one by the name of [name removed] and another younger guy (refused to give us his name), took as long as they could to load and unload the truck. 3 hours at Neutral Bay and a further 3 hours unloading including disappearing for an hour with little explanation.
The driver, [name removed], said he was charging me for 9 hours when only 7 hours had passed when they were finally finished. When I disputed being overcharged he said he was leaving with my 4k TV. He also refused to deduct the $100 deposit already paid.
They had deliberately held off unloading the most expensive item we had in order to use it to as threat to force us to pay. He got angry very quickly and immediately refused to explain to how he arrived at 9 hours. He kept telling us to call the police and said he was leaving with our TV and we can get it back later. I told him this is blackmail and extortion. He claimed to not know what the word 'blackmail' meant.
This lead to a stand-off outside the back of his truck where we found it was completely empty except for the TV. He deliberately blocked our access when we tried to retrieve it.
In addition to the threat of taking property which didn't belong to him (known as theft in Common Law) he refused to negotiate the price. He behaved in an aggressive and insulting way towards my girlfriend because she took a photo of his number plate as well as swearing at us.
The only thing that changed the situation was his colleague tripping up and dropping our wardrobe on the concrete smashing the doors and drawers to pieces right in front of us. This destroyed what little credibility they had left and [name removed] agreed to knock $90 off the cost.
Knowing that we would never get our TV back I agreed to pay $650 for a 7 hour period to simply move a 2 bed apartment. I'm very angry that we fell victim to extortion from this unscrupulous company. In the end I paid $750 if you include the $100 deposit.
Along with threatening to seize our property they also damaged 3 items of furniture and broke some wine glasses. Our dressing table now has a huge split in the leg. Coffee table is cracked in the middle along with damage to the leg. The wardrobe already mentioned was so badly damaged we had to dismantle it that evening so that it didn't collapse on us.
They deliberately packed and unloaded the truck as slowly as possible to prolong the time the job took and they disappeared for an hour whilst driving from the old address to the new one. It only took us 30mins via Uber to reach the new address. They provided no explanation other than blaming it on traffic. We suspect they went for lunch (not part of their Ts & Cs) while we chose not to get any food out of respect.
This was the worst moving experience we've ever had. Their guys threatened us, worked as slowly as possible, were hostile from the start and became very rude asides from the threat when we objected to being overcharged.
I have since written numerous complaints to FRS requesting a refund for the damages and the conduct of their movers. I am yet to receive any response. I even tried calling them and spoke to a lady called [name removed] who told me my complaint had been referred to "management". As a week has already passed I've submitted a complaint to Fair Trading NSW and currently waiting for the outcome of their investigation. I highly doubt they will cooperate with Fair Trading so pursuing legal action may be the only option to get my money back.
I strongly advise against anyone using this company. They are scammers and conmen. I've never before been threatened in my own home until now. This is not the way business should be conducted in a country like Australia. I'm very surprised they haven't been shut down yet. They only care about finding ways to rip you off and show absolutely no respect for people's personal belongings which they have worked hard to pay for and will even use them as a means to extort more money out of you.
Avoid at all costs!!!
PS. don't believe any positive reviews written about them. They are fake paid-for reviews from India. Probably written by a virtual assistant from Fiverr. In fact note one of the high rated reviews on this site written by [name removed]. His review refers to CML removalist rather than FRS. All of the hallmarks of a fake Fiverr based reviewer.
My experience was good!! – I used CML Removalist for moving my 4 bedroom house to another suburb. I preferred them over other 5-Star removalists because of large truck and three guys they had assured to deploy, which was required for my heavy furniture. They arrived on time and did everything efficiently in 6.5 hours. I was lucky to have no issues with them.
Terrible Experience – It is regret that I did not shop around like I normally do and check out the reviews first. cash when I had prearranged credit card payment prior. Was told would have to pay a lot more if used credit card on top of the 3% surcharge I was quoted. They argued with me when I tried to explain that I did not have cash to pay due to the passing of my father. When they unpacked everything they were so rough with the furniture. I had a bench top still in plastic that I made room for in my garage and placed a tarp down to prevent scratching. I was asked to remove the tarp and then they proceeded to drag the finished edge straight along the concrete rather than using the unfinished edge. Instead of placing up against wall, places flat on ground and then proceeded to through a whole lot of stuff straight over the top resulting in it being so scratched that the edging will need to be replaced. Also scratched bottom of wardrobe again because of dragging along concrete in the garage. Also damaged dining table top. Is extendable and failed to do anything to stop separating when places on side which caused it to come crashing down to floor when tried to fit it through my front door. Kept insisting on using another door which I did not have a bigger entry into the house and told them on two occasions prior to attempting this that there were screws underneath and should be able to remove the top. However insisted on trying to fit it through the door way without doing this. When the got it through the doorway they proceeded to drag the table by the table top along the ground and now both ends of the table top are scratched and have drag marks. I also asked them to place things in a way mum and I could pass through the garage and the room inside I was using. They just dumped everything in the middle and my mum who has a back riddled with osteoarthritis and myself had to try and rearrange everything. The whole reason for using a removalist was to avoid this. I am very upset as this furniture belonged to my father and is hard enough dealing with his passing without these people coming along with total disrespect and damaging his stuff.
Worst Removalist Company – Our experience with this company was very poor and do not recommend anyone to use them, as per 99% of the reviews found on the internet (e.g. https://www.mymovingreviews.com/movers/furniture-removalist-services-5484) Interstate move from Sydney to QLD on a 1 bedroom and storage cage move. Trading finally close this "business". If that fails we are planning to share these horrible stories with Today Tonight or A Current Affair to stop these criminals in their tracks.
Details of our story are (in order to get this approved by product review): we ordered a move from Victoria which we fully paid for, the removalist never showed up, we then had to order our own truck and do the move ourselves (which after reading these reviews makes me feel thankful because at least we kept our stuff), never got a refund, we have since taken up the matter with NSW Fair Trading who could do little (although they have someone who manages an FRS file constantly so do report your case as it builds the file). We are looking to build a stronger case as ours along wont do it. Please get in touch if you can help us build the evidence to shut these guys down.

They have ceased all communication with me entirely.
I called Fair Trade yesterday who has a hefty folder with their name on it. As soon as she saw the company she advised they mostly ignore Fair Trade, and the best route to take is tribunal, which I definitely will be taking.
Seeing as I have been perfectly accommodating to them, and I was falsely led to believe they had a good reputation, by their false advertising, I will definitely be squeezing them for every damn penny I can, for the stress they have caused.

Avoid FRS at all costs – In the best intetests for your familys' sanity and your wallet, avoid FRS at all costs. HIDDEN FEES. We were moving a three bedroom house from the Central Coast to the Northern Rivers.
The initial amount of the move was $2000+ gst and after reviewing their quote and what was included, I agreed to pay the deposit of $500 which was non-refundable.
On the day of the deposit, I was called to say that the price had changed to $2300+ gst (First red flag).
After getting my deposit confirmation a few days later, the email attached stated to reply to the contract. I noticed key significant changes.
The big one being a clause which states the full move fee would be payable if you decide to cancel. This term was NOT included in the terms on their website, within the terms of my contract and when I specifically asked whether there were cancellation fees before paying the deposit, the representative stated there were none. They had changed other terms from my initial quote that transit insurance includes damages causes by their staff during upload/unload. After paying the deposit, they retracted this, stating that they were not covered.
They also added other fees for services which were originally included in my quote, which they now expected me to pay on top of the before agreed amount.
I was also sent a payment schedule for the premium option of bubble wrapping. When talking with them on the phone, they denied even having such a payment schedule or sending it to me and refused to offer the services for the prices I was offered.
On top of all this, they would not send their public liability insurance documents despite stating they were insured. The manager was very persistent and rude on the phone, trying to get me to pay my account by credit card which I repeatedly refused.
After removing or changing all the terms in my contract which led me to paying the deposit in the first place, they refuse to refund our deposit.
We took the precaution of canceling our credit card after reading other reviews of them illegally deducting payments after storing credit card details.
In all, we just hope others learn from the mistakes made by us and others by trusting a company to deliver services that they never intend to supply.
As Fair Trading recommends, use an AFRA approved mover and don't fall for their niceties before paying the deposit as they will surely cause you unwanted financial and emotional stress.

take a call or call back. After being completely ignored for a while, I submitted a claim to Fair Trade. FRS were more responsive to the Fair Trade and came back saying that i can't proof the damage (even though i sent pictures) and they won't pay anything. Next step is tribunal. See you there!!!
Fraudulent Company – Two months ago I booked this service for my relocation from NSW to QLD. On 11/09/17 they arrived at my house with a truck covered in graffiti! Two drivers with no formal clothing as depicted in their pictures on the website. The truck was booked for two more jobs and I was told I couldn't get more space because of that. Driver 1 unloads half my… Read more
things and leaves. A local truck arrives at my house later that evening to collect my items and to take it to their "storage" facilities. After loading the things left by driver 1 taking 45 minutes; driver 2 leaves and I get a phone call to say they were there for 3 hours and I needed to pay $350! What's worse is, they stored my things at their depot/office. Driver 1 calls me on 12/09/17 to say he'd be arriving at 4pm. At 4pm driver 1 calls again to say that the RMS has fined him for driving a defective truck and that there were multiple safety road worthy issues with his truck and is issued with license suspension as well as infringement notice for the rectification to the truck! He finally arrives at 8.30pm and leaves around midnight. But not before dropping my washing machine; denting my wall; breaking some plates and dropping another customers items! Now we get to 16/09/17 and driver 3 arrives with the rest of my possessions. Which by the way were the bases to all four our beds... one item after the next after the next and the next are damaged! Slats are missing from the bases. My expensive headboard has been scratched and looks like it was done on purpose. My bedside table has the bottom broken. My daughter's base support has been snapped into two pieces. My guest bedroom base was broken beyond fixing. And my mirror cabinet totally dismantled. But worst is the fact that my glass white dining table has been broken which is a classic piece of furniture!
And just as I thought it could not get worse than that... they fraudulently stored my credit card details including the CVV number and deducted a whopping $890 from my account after I told them I was not prepared to accept that they would not commit to refund me for the damage. A total of $4000 later and I have no bases to put my mattresses on; broken furniture and washing machine; no money and a Fair Trading complaint pending. Never in all my 43 years have I ever dealt with a group of liars, untrustworthy and thieves such as this group. It is illegal for any company to store or save your card details including the CVV. This means that they could access anyone's information without authority and unbeknownst to you this could happen to anyone.
As for all my patience, my forgiveness and understanding, my ignorance and willingness to save a penny or two; that has cost me much more because of FRS Removals.
NOT recommended at all!! Worst removalist ever!! – NOT recommended at all!!! Worst removalist company ever!!! The lady who booked me for the truck last week for my move on Saturday 26/8 had promised to send 2 strong men but ended she sent two skinny blokes with no moving experiences at all. Not only no experience, they are also very inefficient and poor time management taking their sweet time to… Read more
bring my stuff down. The amount of stuffs we had to move is only 2.5hrs worth of job but they took double the time. Took them 30mins just to carry my fridge down from 1st floor unit to ground floor which is ridiculous. My husband had to help them too and they denied having caused dents on my fridge. And I just found out they even broke my pot plant and secretly taping it with a transparent tape which I only noticed today. The lady who booked for me also misinformed me saying charges is from 2.5 hours onwards (2 hours + 30mins call out) but it's actually the number of hours moved plus extra 30mins. Highly NOT recommended if you do not want your things to be broken and secretly taped back and furnitures dented/damaged but being denied!! I would rate this removalist (FRS Removal) NEGATIVE if I could!!
