issue, even after admitting that they stuffed up. Avoid GEM Energy/RACQ Solar at all costs and if you are considering them because they're cheaper, be sure to check their proposed monthly power generation in detail before purchasing. They offer no support or solutions when things don't match what they design and sell. As a long-term RACQ customer, we expected better from RACQ and made the mistake of thinking RACQ was a reputable brand you could trust. Buyer beware!

to sign satisfaction document or they wouldn’t get paid for the job. I thought we could speak to Gem Energy to rectify what had been done. They in turn pressurised us to pay the account and then they would look at it. This did not happen/ once it was paid they denied there was a problem. It is clear from the road that every other house in our area has their solar panels facing the front roof whereas ours are on the side. This has resulted in their placement of panels breaching their own warranty. We have had to pay an additional $4,000 to have more trees removed to increase sun exposure to the panels. We have had many solar installations over the past 30 years and this would have to be the worst, unprofessional experience. Would strongly recommend NOT choosing this company.

get a return call despite commitment to call back with an update, now due to tardy response times the Solax battery has fully discharged and needs warranty replacement......this was confirmed 2 weeks ago, still waiting despite Gem’s advice there are spare batteries available in country. Very poor!

professional builder to check my roof. He said the panels were were installed well but he found six more tiles broken (on top of the 10-12 they had already had to replace). I found the company tough and stressful to deal with and am glad it's over!

Dodgy Installer – Be aware dodgy solar installer! Words of warning to all pass customers to check your solar panels to see if the wattage per panel is what is on your original contract when you sign to get it installed. Waste of money – The company was quick and pushy to sign us up, we have not had over $120 return from out solar panels so they haven’t even really changed our bill at all. professional and pleasant, we had some minor delays due to weather and parts sourcing but nothing major, the install was wrapped up over the following 3 days. Once works were completed, everything was connected up with no problems at all. The sales team followed up after install and provided clarity as to the next steps in submitting the correct info for the grant. The whole process was a pleasant experience and I would highly recommend Vincent and the Gem Energy if you're looking at Solar anytime soon.

Still can't get it sorted or send the correct inverter, hope they don't forger mounting brackets – The job dragged on for 3 months but eventually a great system installed and working. The company contracted to do the work were really good. All issues were the admin/management side of Gem energy.

I can't praise the service enough! – From the moment I contacted David at Gem energy I was so impressed with his knowledge of his product. My husband ensured due diligence and had meetings and discussion with four solar companies before proceeding with GEM Energy.

David Gilles (awesome!) and the GEM team were the first to respond in a timely, informative, professional and easy to understand manner. We liked that we could view the information and performance of David's own system. The comparisons provided assisted us to make an informed decision.

The installation process was similarly positive with contractors turning up when they said they would and completing all the works in an efficient, professional and friendly manner. We had minimum time off work to be on site whilst they completed installation and left our home and surrounds clean and tidy taking all rubbish with them, and all roof tiles intact - thank you!

The office team were efficient, and Jodie was fun to work with. We appreciated the expertise and assistance with the EWR number and paperwork.

Thank you for transitioning us to solar in the seamless way you did. We only wish the retailer we are currently (soon not to be) with had a sprinkling of the customer service skills David and his team provided.

Could Not Be Happier – As per my title, my wife and I can not be happier with the installation of the solar power system by GEM. love freedom of my own power – We love to use the power during the day to do our necessary daily jobs knowing that we are not paying excessive energy bills and doing the right thing for the environment.

Communication – No complaints about the product , all seems good so far , only problem we had was the lack of communication and the returning of phone calls , still have a meter box question that hasnt been answered
