Don't use in North Queensland – The Fujitsu air-conditions do not cope with the North Queensland conditions. We recently built and had 7 installed. They stop working and need professional cleaning every 6 months. They drip on your head while sleeping or run down the wall. We were told not to operate them below 22⁰C or that the conditions were to humid at present. Well I don't… Read more
use mine below 23⁰C and no matter the outside conditions they still leak, it's now mid May; no difference.
I believe the problem is they can't cope with the humidity and the condensation and plastic sweet builds up dripping down to the fan drum. This in turn causes the drum to build up with extra dirt and causes further issues. I also question the bend in the drain at the head unit, they are bent and given the waste water escapes by gravity well....
We are now stuck with 7 dud units. I installed a different brand in the garage and despite being a harsher area it woks perfectly and has not being cleaned once, not even the dust filters. I even bought $800 worth of air purifiers that were no help. Don't buy Fujitsu and be wary of your suppliers and installers.
Great Air-Conditioner – We've had this air-conditioner since January and it has worked flawlessly. It's cool, quiet and efficient. Our old air-conditioner was the non-inverter type and it would make all sorts of grinding and groaning sounds , and the operation was on / off instead of being able to regulate the cooling and adjusting itself continuously to achieve the… Read more · 1
required temperature.
One issue that we have noticed is that when you initially turn it on, it takes a while to figure out what it should be doing if it is left in 'Auto' mode - it runs through fan only mode, then de-humidifier mode, then finally figures out that it needs to be in cooling mode. The result is that after pressing the go button, you need to wait about 5 minutes before receiving actual cool air - either that or select it to 'Cooling' mode first.
With that one exception, it's been a great air-con and will definitely replace the old air-con's with this type as they eventually die.
6 separate Fujitsu systems in North Queensland, 3 x 2.5kw, 1 x 3.5kw, 1 x 5kw and a 9.4kw – All systems going strong 6 years on, 1 warranty issue on mother board of larger unit, rectified promptly. All work extremely well through each wet season! Dry mode saved the day during the 2019 floods. Show details · 1
Terrible product. Unfit for purpose. Crooked warranty practices – When it works, this product did not function to cool a house in the hot humid conditions, at the specified cooling rating. Get something else. Do your research. This thing fails and is seriously underpowered on it’s best day. Not fit for purpose. An older (5years) , smaller split system Fujitsu had worked. Not sure if it is just lifestyle… Read more
series or build quality went down. Warranty practices way out of line. Our family Will never go there again.
Our family went through most a year of no working air & wrangling to receive a replacement unit only through support of the retailer HN and a draft two page letter to consumer affairs. The retailer helped. Fujitsu only complied when forced to. Exhausting to deal with! I am not a lawyer.
This was a mistake not to bring the unit back to the retailer and cut losses at this point. The replacement unit functioned, for under 18 months. It cooled somewhat but would show ‘20’ and visitors would comment they were sweating. Cooling was nowhere near the prior unit- an ancient Panasonic also ‘24’, or much cheaper the Mits Heavy industries same power rating ‘24’ we eventually gave up and replaced after facing another break down call out and potentially being served with a labour bill for a faulty unit. After being failed by Fujitsu & ongoing pathetic customer service, it was a cost but it has been wonderful to have a functioning cool lounge. After years of heartache, call outs we gave in and will never go near a fujitsu.
Fujitsu is truly Australia’s worst air. Shame on Fujitsu for ripping off Australian consumers. Shame on you for your dodgy warranty practices with service agents.
I hope this review helps save someone the troubles, money and time this company has cost us. Crooked warranty practices on brand new products are not ever ok. Trying to shift blame onto consumer is never ok. Given this was a replacement product with identical failing it is really clear now how cheeky this lot are once they have your money. The best day was when we had the unit removed. We got a cheapy avanti Mits Heavy industries. Our friends builders have recommended this & Daikin. Even the old panasonic that the fujitsu replaced, it used to chew power but it functioned as described. This company needs to up the game and stop ripping people off. Not happy Fujitsu.

Fragile, weak air con – My house was built in mid of 2019, it’s been 1 year I live here and have 7 split system in the house, but since January 2020 the first one was not working, until today, total 3 of them have been broken! 3 out of 7!! Ii is really annoying that I keep asking service guy to fix them. And I don’t know when the rest of the 4 will break. Btw very noisy too. Totally not recommended! Show details

Perfect, don't know how I lived without it – The Fujitsu aircon we bought is a great unit, I'm not sure how I got on without it. Cool's the house down very quick, silent unit and very easy to operate. I am 100% happy with this product and would highly recommend Fujitsu. Fujitsu also gave us $150 rebate at the time. Cools quickly And quietly – This model only cools which was my mistake when shopping for it. However it does the job well. Very quiet. We installed into our newborn sons room as it cooks in summer due to our tin roof with zero insulation. We would set it to 23c and leave it on overnight and most of the day. Kept the room very pleasant and he slept like a baby. If we crank it… Read more · 1
up and open the door it helps cool the top level of our house. Quite powerful for its size and consumption.
Great for a medium sized room – Cooling and heating are good, but occasionally I have to reset them from the power panel. Not too quiet. Installation was good, but when we had issues with it, the guy couldn't provide us with the receipts so we can get someone licenced to check and repair, and the warranty thus expired without us getting help to fix the issue. Still not running… Read more · 1
optimally, but now we have to pay for the inspection and repair. Easy to use, but has issues switching from cool to heat, most times I have to reset the unit few times before we can notice the switch.
Customer feedback – I found this kne to be very good. Specially the Auto mode is brilliant. I need not turn it on and off again and again if I am feeling too hot or cold. I was provided this by my propoerty owner so dont know tge price and buy date. . Show details
Cool for summer – I'm 100% happy with this product - well I have only just bought the product 3 weeks ago. It has cooled my living/kitchen open area pretty quickly and it does not make too loud of a noise. I had arranged for Harvey Norman to send out one of their experienced installers to do the installation for us and they have been very cooperative with appointment time. A very good product overall for the household. Show details
Good for one room – Upgrading from an Akai ac I expected more reliability and smoother operation, but the unit can actually be very noisy. It gurgles and whistles at times which is offputting. However it keeps the room cold, the fan is very quiet and it has never malfunctioned. Note that there is a delay between inputting a command and it being received, so the remote needs to be pointed until a beep is heard. Show details
Excellent system – We thought this would be too big a system for us but it's perfect. it is the only one in our open plan ground floor and all we need, you can feel the coolness or the heat all the way from one end of the house to the other. It's perfect. Quiet as well. remote control is easy to operate and not intrusive on the wall. Excellent. Show details
Excellent purchase – very happy with the unit we decided on, heats our lounge dinning area with no trouble not expensive to run easy to regulate settings not expensive to have installed very quiet not much noise very easy to install have no complaints cant wait for summer to see how cool it makes the house Show details
Find out how General Airstage Lifestyle Cooling Only, Standard (Fujitsu) compares to other Split System Air Conditioners
Know better, choose better.
Amazing how we survived without air con – This year (2017) finally installed this unit in kitchen lounge and two, 2.5kw ones in two bedrooms. Excellent units, most impressed with quiet running and air flow. Auto setting just maintains the set temp hardly know it's on till you go to another non air con room. Cream colour of outside unit s blends with cream of our walls. Installed was excellent too. Show details
Warm as toast then cool as a cucumber – This Fujitsu reverse cycle air conditioner suits our needo to a tee. Not only is the outdoor unit lovely and quiet, the indoor unit has a quiet setting also. You only know the unit is on by the warm/coom room you walk into. The air conditioning and heating warms a very large area and if we leave the hallway door open, it reaches up to the bedrooms. Do yourself a favor, run right out and buy one of these.. Show details
2 days on. early days – This has just been installed 2 days ago by a reputable installer (ALWAYS use a good installer when dealing with refrigerants) It is replacing a Kelvinator split that had a small internal leak that Kelvinator refused to replace under warranty. After fighting a losing battle I pulled that out and had this new Fujitsu model installed. It's good so… Read more
far. Quiet fan mode is quiet. Cooling seems to do it's thing (although I'm sure the old Kelvinator of same 2.5kw size was cooler.. I've had the Fujitsu set 2 degree cooler to get the same effect. I don't like the fact that the 'swing director' is automatically returned to the #3 position after 30 minutes in case of condensation dripping damaging things underneath the A/C but am going to try manually adjusting this and hopefully it won't sense it's not in possie #3 because I like it pointing at me underneath like the Kelvinator did. Hope this works!! The remote is fairly similar in functionality to the Kelvinator. Cleaning the Kel was almost impossible though because the front panel did not remove so I'm assuming this one can be removed properly for cleaning. All in all: I like the Fujitsu (so long as the director stays when manually adjusted)
