I rang their service on Monday morning and was assured that my connection could be completed either Tuesday or Wednesday, as I had just left my internet provider. I was told someone would contact me within that time frame, no one did. Instead, I have had to call them twice. In my most recent call, I was informed there is in fact a delay of up to… Read more

two weeks for connection to my building due to an upgrade caused by demand. This is completely unacceptable and should have been made clear during my initial enquiry. Their failure to communicate this upfront has left me without service and without any clear resolution. I could have used another service and been connected in the same timeframe.

I was told once again that “someone will call me back,” no one called. This is a poor first impression, and their communication to date has been substandard. I know it is only 3 days but, they should have been upfront. They are a communications company, they need to learn to communicate!

It’s what the NBN should be but MUCH BETTER – Light years ahead of the NBN, reliable and fast with no dips in speed. Show details

Good service with great speeds – Gigacomm has been a saviour at my apartment complex. Prior to them providing service, I was stuck on FTTN NBN at a max speed of 50/20, which was a massive downgrade for me. I consistently get close to 1000 down now, even during peak hours. I've had very few service outages too. My only complaint was that the pricing was high compared to NBN, but they've adjusted that as well now! Show details

Awesome – Fantastic service with very few drop outs ever, simple and easy to understand internet plans, great customer service and fantastic installation team who went out of there way to get my service working correctly, even coming back the next day with another tech to get service 100% right + there prices have now dropped to NBN level costs - Highly recommend where available. Show details

Best Internet in the cbd zone – It is a very good service, I never have problems with the internet. The speed is always high. In my building there was not a gigabyte of speed but thanks to this company I was able to obtain the necessary speed to work on what I like. I recommend it. Show details

Be careful - their customer service is terrible – Wanted to simply pause my $150 a month subscription as I was travelling for 5 months. They told me they don’t have this feature and have to cancel. To cancel I would have to give 30 days notice then pay a further $125 to resign with them. What a scam. Be careful anyone wanting to use a small time internet company. Show details

1000mbit in an apartment. Can't go back – Since moving to Gigacomm and experiencing a full gigabit service at home I don't think I can go back to your stock standard NBN plans. I have been a customer with Gigacomm for nearly 18 months and never experiencced a dropout. The couple of times I have had to call them, the service desk was able to resolve my queries promptly and have been nothing but pleasant. If it's in your apartment I recommend jumping on it. Show details

Good service and quick internet – Internet speed is good, occasionally drops out randomly but not often. Can handle multiple devices easily. Good service over the phone, very helpful!

Amazing gigabit speeds even in an old apartment building! 5G really does work – GigaComm dropped a flyer in our mailbox one day claiming to be able to offer gigabit speeds in our apartment complex near Sydney CBD. As a strata committee member, I understood they did this through the use of a 5G receiver on the roof, with new fibre cable runs down the risers, and only using the building's legacy copper wiring for the last mile… Read more

essentially from the risers (near the lifts) to your individual unit. Given my existing Telstra NBN 100 plan topped out at circa 75Mbps in practice, I was skeptical to say the least as I knew the copper wiring down to the MDF was clearly a bottleneck.

I spent a lot of time with the team at GigaComm and their installation team to understand what they were doing, and the team were very helpful and supportive with getting the strata committee onboard. There was only one hiccup with one of GigaComm's subcontractors and their timeliness/communications with building management (granted, during the lockdowns and pandemic) but otherwise it was a good experience and I appreciated how much time their team spent visiting us on site, checking out potential installation locations, providing lots of diagrams and installation plans, etc.

From an end user/customer perspective, everyone from GigaComm has been great. Installation went smoothly and on time once it was locked in (note it does take some a few weeks between building/wiring for building being done and when you as a customer can get it installed/running), and the tech support team were excellent at helping me troubleshoot as I wanted to get the most out of my connection since it was initially hovering around 800-850Mbps due to my self-provided Asus XT8 router's various QoS/protections/monitoring/beamforming/etc slowing down wired and wireless speeds. The results in the screenshots speak for themselves but as you can see I'm comfortably above 900Mbps.

I'd also note that in the few months I've been with GigaComm, the service has been rock solid with only two very brief service interruptions (one was a minute or two, and the other was half an hour but it was due to another contractor in our building knocking out the connection unintentionally).

All in all, highly recommended. If you are considering this either as a customer or a strata committee member, I cannot praise these guys enough and how well they worked with us. There's plenty of positive feedback as well in other forums eg Whirlpool on the installation process too. From a customer perspective, they do manage to deliver on their promises (despite my scepticism!) but I suppose the flip side is gigabit internet unfortunately doesn't come cheap. The 1000/100 plan I was on costs $189/mth.
