Soft/close auto door issue – Had x2 Gliderol Genesis garage motors installed 3.5yrs ago. Already had 1 motherboard changed on 1 motor around 2yrs ago. Then around 1yr ago 2nd motor decided to start opening/closing hard instead of softly at the end of up/down cycles. Question is even after getting service done and technician resetting travel limits , the door still doesn't soft open/closes, putting stress on motor rail, springs,etc. Service guy said torsion springs are fine.
What to do next. Am I entitled to new motor under 5yr warranty?
Corroding panels on garage doors – Poor quality product. Rust and corrosion after 3yrs. Company refuses to replace doors. Didn't bother to inform us their decision.
Return customer – Have used Gliderol for many years and have never had a problem with any of their doors. Always provided us with good quality Australian made doors. The GRD factory fit motors are great for jobs with minimal sideroom.
