A big shout out to Lindsay from Gliderol Roller doors South Australia who installed my new Roller Door today and it was great to see a professional at work and do the job to a very high standard, very helpull and friendly. Had a second roller door installed after paint started coming of and had a few dents from manufacture. After three visits from various people from the company finally had it replaced probably took six months May be alittle longer .this one doesn't appear to have the saftey retract on it as it came down on my car roof and was unravelling. though it is one of there doors and motors they don't have the capacity to help me and that I'd have to find an independent service person. When I asked if they could give me the name of some they said that it wasn't their policy to give out names.

Worst company I have ever dealt with! – Saga started with a quote in Dec 2020 for installation of a double garage door. The disaster still continues as below: 1. Dec 20: Measure and quote undertaken, but measure failed to detect that the door needed to be tapered. Would not have expected such a 'rookie' error. 2. Mar 21: First attempt at Installation day. (i) No communication at all… Read more

from Gliderol as to when installation would take place. I called them at least half a dozen times, was shuffled through various teams until finally someone declared a date. (ii) No one showed up to install on the day. Finally called Gliderol at 1PM to ask where they were and was told it wouldn't happen today. (iii) Again, I had to follow up with many calls to get a second install date. 3. Later Mar 21: Second attempt at Installation Day. (i) Roller door installed and taper problem encountered (3 inch gap at one end). (ii) Door had dents in it. 4. April 21: Inspection of door undertaken and decision made to re-manufacture and re-install new door. Was told new order would be put in the system immediately. 5. June 21: Have called Gliderol more times than I can remember to get a re-install date and was informed in early June (for the first time) that somehow the order was not in the system properly so nothing had happened yet. So I'm over 6 months and counting to get a door installed - fortunately only 50% of the money has been paid. I'm contemplating paying the second amount in a timeframe consistent with the time its taken them to install the door. i.e.. sometime over the next 6 months with them calling me multiple time to chase - seems fair!

AVOID THESE GUYS IF POSSIBLE. Absolutely appalling Customer Service - worst I have ever seen in 25 years of renovating.

No call received so I followed up only to be put through to an answer machine twice. Eventually I received a call told me I was still on the run for today. Adelaide Install - on time, on budget, Sales person quote and installer both V good – Shane came and quoted, almost exactly 4 weeks later, Luke came and installed. It was on time, on budget, and a very clean install. Shane was one of the more competent guys who came to quote from various businesses, Luke was clean, tidy, knew what he was doing and was perhaps their most experienced sub-contractor. these guys, I think your experience clearly depends upon who you get and how well your shed/garage/carport is built and prepared. I also think your own attitude may well play a part. I don't know about longevity as yet , but I'm very happy to recommend both these guys here in Adelaide. I'll report back in 12 months

Please keep the door shut – We had quite a few issues with the automation of our Gliderol Roller door and finally had a replacement motor sent to us. All has been going reasonably well until 6 months ago. Frequently when using the remote to close the door (on our way out) we come home to find the door fully open??? And so it needs resetting... frequently. Not good to go out… Read more

presuming your home is safely locked up but that tricky little gadget (the remote) or (the motor) thinks otherwise. And so after all the issues we have had right from the day of purchase I would not recommend a Gliderol Roller Door for your garage. This unit is only 4 yrs 6 months old. Don't feel like the expense of replacing it.
