Polaris express lay -Shine – Hi we purchased Polaris express lay flooring 2 years ago it’s the worst floor I’ve ever had.. We put it in nearly the whole of the house There are only 2 of us in the house, no kids and both work long hours so no heavy wear. Its impossible to get it to the colour it was when it was laid. I mop every weekend with warm damp enjo mop ( which gets washed after every mop) It’s getting grimier as the time goes by. Its almost like I have to scrub it on my hands and knees to clean it!! It’s a task just to mop the floor surely it shouldn’t be as hard as it is. The warranty says it’s easy and good for high traffic areas but we don’t have high traffic and it’s still not good. It has grooves in it and I think it’s a bad decision by manufacturers as grooves hold grime and impossible to remove, it just sits in the grooves and doesn’t come out with mopping. This has cost us a lot of money and we expected it to look good and colour the same after only 2 years. I’ve attached a photo of a part I scrubbed with Jiff and a brush, this shows how grime sits in the grooves.. I called where I purchased it from he said do the whole floor with Jiff!! But I don’t think I should have to go that far, plus how long will that last .. it’s the grooves in the product that is the problem
Shocking After Customer Care & Service – We had Godfrey Hirst flooring installed in our beautifully built brand new home, 2 years ago. From the get go we were emailing the retailer as the floors had a streaky/powdery finish to the top. Constant back and forth about products to use and ways to remove this were done. We have only ever used a microfibre mop, tried the laminate floor cleaners available at woolworths etc, retailer suggested eucalyptus oil, did that, then we were getting desperate so Godfrey advised to use metho (seems a little harsh) so used that. Still happened.
They came out to do a report, said that we used a Steam mop - which we never have! NEVER. We have rented previously and KNOW that you are NOT to use a steam mop on your floors, hence we invested in an expensive microfibre mop from bunnings and have only ever used that. Said that the coating on the floor was ruined due to harsh chemicals and that it happened in SITU before we moved in?
We moved in the day the floors were installed and the issue is under very heavy furniture that we don't move to mop under (gross, yes) and their failure to compromise or come up with any thing for us is disgusting. Given the fact they came out in JULY to do the inspection and the report came back at the end of August, and still we can barely get any correspondence from Godfrey. I feel sick that we used their flooring in our home. They are not willing to do anything to help us and claim there is no issue with their product nor is it a warranty issue.
I'm truly disappointed and disgusted in their lack of customer service, or willing to help us come up with a solution. I would not recommend this company to anyone!!!
Hi Kateerobbo, I am sorry that you have had a bad experience, but I wonder if you might be able to email directly to social.media@godfreyhirst.com with your address, where and when your flooring was purchased. Also what the product was that you had installed, and the claim number if you have it handy. I will look into your claim on your behalf. Kind regards Mary
Godfrey Hirst Hybrid Flooring – We recently had replaced our flooring from carpet to HYBRID FLOORING. I was pleasantly surprised how good it looks!! We bought it for its waterproof & ease of maintenance properties. Early to tell but we hope to get many years satisfaction from our purchase
Hi Andrew, we are thrilled to hear that you are enjoying the change from Carpet to your new Hybrid flooring. We trust you will be enjoying it for many years to come. We also love the easy cleaning attributes of the Hybrid flooring.
