Good Food Gift Card

Absolutely terrible service. The gift card didn't arrive. Tried to call but it was impossible to have the call answered, on hold for 15 minutes and then the call drops out. Response to emails is terrible, it has taken over a week to get a reply. Then the name on the card was incorrect. I would not recommend this gift card service at all

I would just like to say I am extremely disappointed with the amount of times I have called and got no response. I have sent multiple emails and still have had no response. I need an urgent query answered. I really cannot believe how hard it is to get in touch with one of your customer service people. It is actually appalling. I need to be contacted asap in regards to a card enquiry!!!!

The great scam. You pay in advance, you give them an interest free loan. And you pay for a the privilege! Then you can only use it in limited places. Then if you don't use it then they say it has expired. And they keep your loan. And they say banks are thieves .

activate my cards within 24hrs which was not mentioned on the card or gift folders After many other calls and emails I was then advised that the 3 x cards did not have any money on them by the shop I think this is just a made up story as the gift cards were from different people. Very disappointing , dishonest and downright robbery and I will stay away from getting these type of cards There appears to be no responsibility and they asked for dockets knowing so well that who would still have the receipts after two years and sadly they were gifts now worth nothing

Scam- unusable as common not to be loaded when legitimately purchased so card has zero value and you only discover that after incurring charges at an expensive restaurant. The issuing company says you should confirm card is loaded properly when purchased by sending a copy of the card and receipt to them so they know this is a problem! Has happened… Read more

to me 3 times with $200 cards and I can’t go back to the gift givers months or years later and ask for their receipts! WORTHLESS!!

Went to one of the restaurants listed on the Good Food Guide website as accepting the Good Food Gift Card. The only reason we chose that restaurant was to use the card. the electronic card. However, they would not split the transaction to allow us to pay part of the balance owing on the card, and the remainder using cash. The restaurant has no published guidelines for the use of the card.

We followed up with The Card Network (the card issuer) and explained our experience. Their response was: "Any dispute regarding goods, services, or transaction acceptance must be resolved directly with the merchant."

The Card Network also pointed to their terms and conditions: * "While we list merchants that have opted to accept the card, all transactions are ultimately subject to individual merchant acceptance." * "This means that even if a merchant is listed on our website, they may have internal policies or system limitations that prevent them from accepting the card for certain transactions." * "Gift cards are subject to individual merchant acceptance." * "We are unable to reimburse the balance or intervene in merchant-specific payment policies."

So basically, the card is worthless, with no guarantee of card holders being able to use it with advertised partners.

A very disappointing experience leaving us out of pocket.

it was posted on the 3rd. Couldn't give me tracking, confirm where it was been sent from or the ETA. I asked who the cards are sent with as she said postage can take up to 2 weeks (delivery address is Melb Metro) and she kept saying it's been sent via Australian Post, so I had to confirm if she meant Australia Post or whether that was a general term for a postage company that sends within Australia. I didn't believe it when she said she couldn't provide tracking because it wasn't sent as 'express' as I said I send a lot of mail/parcels (ebay etc) and never have to add tracking to any of my orders. Wish I had of done more homework before buying, especially as a lot of reviews say the choices for restaurants are limited.

Terrible customer service – I contacted the company as I found a misplaced Good Food Restaurant gift card for $200 which had expired only 3 days earlier. I had explained that the card was a gift from students in my Prep classroom and asked if it could be extended just for a short period of time. I am so disappointed and would definitely recommend that people be very careful before trusting this company. I have heard of so many other companies that honour gift cards after expiry and believe that three days late is not a significant amount of time.

classic phishing junk – they make you download an app to use your card. I bothered to read the "privacy policy" which basically says we reserve the right to use your data anywhere we please

Takes 24 hours to activate – Activated the card turns out it takes a whole day to become active don’t recommend for purchasing as a gift. It wouldn’t work when I went to pay at a restaurant and I had to spend more than I intended.

had the $200 up to now... and no service was provided. A family member paid this company $200 and it should still be valid at that amount. In the process, some restaurant has missed out on this money....and this Goodfood mob keeps the money. Never again.

What is a holiday without a Good Food Gift Card! – I purchased the card during my last trip Sydney and have enjoyed the adventure of choosing which restaurants to dine at for each meal. Restaurant on their website doesn't take card and Good Food doesn't answer email – I went to a restaurant I found on the Good Food website for a special occasion, and when we went to pay, the restaurant said they hasn't been associated with Good Food for over a year and had asked them repeatedly to take them off the website. Card never works even when we call the restaurant first – We have been gifted a few of these cards and been caught out where the restaurant is listed in the website and they don’t accept the card. So, we have reverted to calling the restaurant first and tonight our card was refused the second restaurant we tried because the restaurant said it was accepted but it’s not set up to work as a payment. Just gift your friends the money and forget about this voucher!!!!

dont buy these! – do not buy gift cards from this website - I've contacted about 5 different restaurants that are listed on their website who have all come back saying they don't accept good food gift cards. if you want to get a gift card by a visa debt prepaid or contact the restaurant directly - complete waste of money
